We would absolutely not recommend them to anyone. I am so disappointed with them that I would rate them poorly. We have a great air conditioner, but we just didn’t have very good service. We have an older house and it was a difficult installation. They had to do a different kind of installation and when the salesperson came out and looked at our situation, he said they could deal with that without any problem. He said they knew exactly how to handle that. We are over 60 and at that time, we had to climb up on our ladder to change the air filters. I told him that just because we can do it right now; it doesn’t mean that we are going to be able to do that in 5 more years. So I asked him if there was any way he can figure so that the air filter would be accessible without us having to climb the ladder up. He said they could absolutely do it without any problem. They didn’t and they couldn't. We had to have them out here like 3 times. They had to completely take it out and put it all back in again. Then it leaked. They did finally get everything fixed, but it was just so aggravating because they promised and they didn’t deliver. Their price was good.

They did all right and did a good job. I would call them back if I needed to. There was a mixup on some parts deliveries and I was without air conditioning for about a week, longer than they expected but I don't know if it was their problem or not.

After not hearing back after two phone calls left with the answering service, I called another company who showed up at the appointed time.
Description of Work: I am extremely busy and only get one day off during the week, every couple of weeks. Because of this, I look to use businesses that are willing to make appointments to come to my house so I know when to be there and spend the rest of my day off to do other errands and appointments. Having said that, I just wonder what has happened to this company. I used them last summer to install an new HVAC system. At that time they had people in the office who were pleasant to deal with and willing to work with me on setting a specific time and day to be at my house. I used this company after hearing several friends told me they had good outcomes with dealing with Hartline. Now after this latest attempt to use them, I have talked with all my friends who had recommended them and every last one of them have found other air conditioning service companies to use. I called twice earlier this week to try and set up an appointment on Friday July 29th. Both times I left messages with an answering service requesting a call back to set up a time. I NEVER heard back. After not hearing back from Hartline for the SECOND time when I called Thursday morning, I contacted another company Thursday afternoon and made an appointment for them to come out Friday afternoon. They showed up on time. It was a pleasure to be able to talk to people in an office instead of an answering service and NEVER hearing back from someone.

Even when presented with the invoices showing duplicate work, they first said no different part then said the warranty had run out. I felt like they only wanted my money and didn't care that I was a person.
Description of Work: I have called them out several times over the past two years. I am looking for a heating and air service that I can use twice a year for repairs and routine maintenance. I do NOT recommend Hartline. Each time they come out it costs $200 or more and they have repaired the same switch twice and were wanting to replace the same motor twice. If you have money to burn, by all means give them a call. They would love to take it from you.
