Southern Painting Coppell/Flower Mound

My wife and I used Southern Painting to have our office and dining room painted. They not only did a fantastic job but also corrected flaws left from a previous paint job done by another company. The paint crew was prompt, explained everything they would do, and cleaned up when they finished. The owner , Robert Whipple; the manager Leo Lankford IV, and the lead painter, Diego were all a pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend Southern Painting.

Ron Carson with Southern Painting was very easy to work with. He provided great advice on colors and we're very happy with the results.

The Southern Painting exterior manager and I did a walk around and I pointed out all areas I thought needed extra work and he explained how and why those areas would be painted and/or repaired. He made recomendations (such as replacing some of the rotten wood with Hardie Board).

He explained how and where the taping and masking would take place, which areas would be spray painted and which areas would be hand painted. We had 4 exterior doors and all downspouts to be hand painted. He explained the order in which the job would take place. They set aside 3 days to complete the job.
He then worked up an estimate and gave me four options. I chose one full coat of primer and one full coat of the top of the line Sherwin Williams exterior paint.
The workers showed up at 8:30 each day and worked until 5pm. They worked hard and cleaned up at the end of each day. They took a great deal of care as they worked. The exterior manager checked in every day and was available via phone when not on site.
As they worked, if they found something that needed repair, they just fixed it and moved on.
After they finished, we did another walk around and I inspected everything. I found nothing they missed and I found nothing to complain about.
A FIRST CLASS JOB!

A nice experience from the get-go. The estimate process was thorough and Jon Box, the 'boss', spent a lot of time hearing about what I wanted done, when.

We decided on a start date and a crew showed up on time, ready to go. They did an excellent job of wrapping appliances and 'non-paint' areas and protecting my Pergo floors from paint and fixative, etc. Big relief! The job went smoothly and quickly because they sent a good-sized crew.
 
For the amount of dust the ceiling scraping entailed, I think they did a very good job of containing the mess.

Jon did a walk-through the following day and arranged for one of the crew members to come back and do some minor touch-ups here and there. I was very pleased with the job they did.

What I thought would take three days took about a day and a half. Nice.

I have hired Southern Painting to do another, even bigger job for me the end of the this month -- repainting my living and dining rooms and scraping the popcorn texture off the ceilings in those rooms, too.

They painted the "tall" front gables. soffit,fascia on the front and back of the house. They were very good, clean and had the work done in one day. We were delighted

Fantastic. They were very professional and kept me up to date when there were rain delays. A really good job on an older home with some trim issues. They even were very accomodating about adding an extra paint trim color at the last minute. I love them.

They are very efficient. They don't waste time, they're in and out, and they clean up after themselves. I have been very satisfied with them.

A guy came out from the company. He went through the entire house with us. He recommended a lot of colors for different rooms and ceiling which we never thought about. The workmanship was very good.

The salesman was very helpful. He went into detail about how they don't powerwash around doorways since they don't want water coming through the cracks into the house. He was mistaken about this since there was muddy water splattered around the kitchen door. This wasn't difficult to clean up though. I also specifically requested that they not wash or paint the porch and emphasized this several times. They washed the porch anyway although not from any ill intent. The workers simply didn't get the message. I ended up putting up signs in both english and spanish requesting that it not be painted and had no further problem. Those were my only complaints. The paint on the house looks good and I'm pleased with the result. Everyone with the company seems very friendly.
