Great communication from start to finish. Did a complete renovation of our entire pool area as well as spa and pool remodel and resurface. Made excellent suggestions along the way. The workers showed up on time and could not have been nicer. Despite several big rain days that prevented them from working, they still finished two and one-half weeks ahead of schedule. They have followed up to make sure all is good, and it definitely is. Rickey and his team knew what they were doing and did it very well. Very highly recommend Petri Pools!

I selected Petri Pools from 4 bids to remodel our pool after spending hours researching and interviewing companies. They were neither the cheapest nor the most expensive of the bids. Both Petri Pools and Mike Rakes did a great job! The work to our pool included re-plaster, new coping, upgrade to pool equipment and replacement of some broken equipment. Mike was very communicative and readily available. He kept me informed of the work itinerary for each day and responded quickly to my questions. As a project manager in my former life, I really appreciated the communication and attention to detail. Our pool had a couple of quirky designs that needed extra attention during the re-model. Mike came out with the masonry guys to make sure it was done to my satisfaction. I would absolutely recommend them.

Final result speaks for itself. These guys did an awesome job. Mike Rakes was the point man/supervisor on our job. They were the highest bidder of 3 companies that bid on our job, but Mike was super responsive and patient addressing many of our questions prior to being hired, and we felt from their reputation they would deliver. They are turnkey and quick. They would have completed the job in a surprisingly quick 6 days, but we had 4 or 5 consecutive days of rain. Needless to say, their crews were back out here as soon as the weather permitted. All the crews cleaned up and left little to no debris at the end of each day. Mike was available at all times and even took a call or two from us on the weekend when he was out on the lake. All in all, I feel like we got what we paid for - and we couldn’t be happier with the results. FYI- our price included some higher end and optional finishes, including flagstone coping, PebbleTech surface, nice Noble tile and a waterfall dam installed/built on the wall of our hot tub. We also had a 18’ crack along the surface of our deep end repaired, which accounted for ~$800. Price also included sealing of the flagstone and all start-up costs.

I could not be happier with the job Petri Pools did. My pool was in terrible shape and Petri did an amazing job renovating it. If you are looking to have your pool renovated I can not recommend Petri Pools strongly enough.

Mike Rakes has been very accessible throughout the entire process via text or phone answering questions / providing guidance as needed. From the day he arrived to quote the work, Mike made suggestions that improved the operation and use of the pool. He worked to fit his crew’s activities into our schedule as we had competing backyard work occurring at the same time. Lastly, he made time to ensure I understood how to care for / maintain my new pool equipment for peak efficiency. It is my pleasure to recommend Petri Pools for similar work.

Justin and Petri Pools crew did a great job on the pool resurfacing, The Job was a no fuss job, every morning would get a text update of what is going to happen, was a well run operation. We did get a couple quotes, his was competitive with another and below another quote that I got.The showroom had samples to choose from, didn't have to go to another place to choose the tile and pebble surface. Brennan who dealt with the equipment was super friendly and efficient. The pool looks great, would hire them again in a heartbeat, will get some additional work on my equipment done via them

Great customer service! We did our research before selecting Petri Pools to do our pool and spa renovation and, boy, were we happy with our pick! It was a pleasure to deal with Justin, who kept us well informed at all times. We received a confirmation call every morning before work started and a prompt call when weather resulted in a delay. Weather delays were rescheduled quickly and work was completed promptly and efficiently. We expected our pool to be out of commission for much longer than it was. We are thrilled to be swimming in our pool again. It looks awesome!!! We would recommend Petri Pools in a heartbeat.

We read the reviews and shopped around before selecting Petri Pools to remodel our pool. Let me start off by saying I am very particular and couldn't be more pleased with the results of our pool. We went from white plaster to a pebble surface with glass and abalone. I wanted more blue glass on my sun ledge so we added a bag without any issue. We just had to see a completed pool before we could decide on a plaster color. Justin was the only one that was willing to find an address of a pool I could look at in the color we wanted. Another pool builder just said to look at pictures (of another product) on the internet and it would be similar. Justin didn't even build the pool I looked at, but he did go out of his way to find it for me. We never would have picked the color we did without seeing it in person and I know we would not have been as happy going with our other color options. During the construction phase Justin was very easy to get a hold of and politely answered all of my many, many questions. Justin really knows what he is doing. Petri pools has a personal touch that we didn't get when we built our first pool with a much larger company. I also want to say Brennan did a fantastic job at the pool start up and the girl in the office was very nice. Petri has a great team. Thank you Petri Pools

Excellent service and outstanding work.

Working with Petri Pools was hands down the best experience I have had with any contractor since I moved here 18 years ago. Mike and the crew kept me informed throughout the entire process of all scheduling, any potential delays, when a crew would arrive for various stages etc. I could not be any happier with the outcome of the pool remodel. The project was on time with no delays, extra fees or overages. The pool looks fantastic with all new pebbletek & flagstone and everyone who sees it says the same thing. I wish every experience with a vendor/supplier/contractor could be as great as this was. Mike’s handling of the project from start to finish was outstanding. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I would give this company a 10 stars if I could. I interviewed five different pool companies for the job and they were towards a higher price, but they were worth every penny of it. They're the most professional most efficient most honest and pleasant I have ever worked with. They were finished exactly when they said they would be, and kept me up-to-date daily on what was done. They left the area cleaner than they found it. The materials they use are top-of-the-line and the pool looks professionally done. They help me find the cheapest route to accomplish what I needed and still have the pool look excellent. I had some electrical problems with the pool after it was done, unrelated to their work and they came back to help me get the problem fixed. Their price includes all the after pool care and I appreciate that that the brushing and chemicals were done correctly. Some of the other companies had add on prices for things that were already included in Petri's. Justinis very professional, now knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with and Brennan help troubleshoot all the problems and keeps coming back until you're happy. Their customer service is excellent and I can't say enough good things about this company.

I AM SO GLAD I CHOSE PETRI POOLS! I entered into the pool renovation with a lot of speculation given this was the first time I owed a pool. I did my due diligence and I gave Petri Pools the opportunity to assist me with this major investment. I am so glad I did. Justin walked me through every step of the way, patiently responding to (all) of my questions - making honest recommendations that saved me money. We added a bench - that Iove. It went very well. The quality of the work is great, and working with the owner Justin was a breeze. I would get a text message or a call every day that someone was scheduled to be at the house. I would receive a text if they were going to be late. Any question or concern I had was address immediately.

Justin and his crew did a great job renovating our pool. When we moved into the house, the pool was a total mess- broken/leaking pipes, cracked plaster, old tile, cracked deck, no coping, broken spa molding, the whole 9 yards. I had several companies give me bids, and he was the only one who came out, walked me through the entire process and showed me what was wrong and why it needed fixing a certain way. Everyone else encouraged me to piece-meal it together, which would have been very unwise. They delivered on the timeline, price, and quality of the service. We are very happy with our new pool, and would do it the exact same if we had the chance to do it over again. Well done to Petri Pools!

We found Petri pools on Yelp. It was the only pool company with a 5 star rating. Justin came out the next day. We told him we didn’t want to spend a lot of money. He gave us options with detailed pricing so we could pick what we wanted to upgrade. We wanted to see actual pools before we picked a plaster color. Justin had 2 customers who let us see their pools. This made a huge difference. The color we thought we wanted didn’t look the way we expected. When we talked to Justin he figured out what we really wanted and had a pool we could look at. It was perfect. We made lots of changes during the process and Justin was very flexible. Nothing was ever a problem. Our pool is 25 years old, so some things were discovered as the work progressed, such as a leaking pipe and cracked gunite. Justin knew how to handle everything that came up. He is so easy to work with and so honest. He always was responsive even answering texts at night and weekends. He truly does put the customer first. He is a model of what every business should strive for. We can’t say enough good things about Petri Pools.

Justin made this huge project run very smooth. He was always available for any of our questions. He was a great resource on helping make decisions fit our needs. Our pool was 17 years old and needed to be resurfaced. Got 3 bids to do the job and most were about the same price. I chose Petri because they could get to the job the quickly. The job was completely finished within 10 days. Justin Petri handled everything perfectly! Subs showed up everyday without any delays. My pool was built in 1989, so it was time for a major facelift. I got quotes from 5 recommended pool companies, but I choose Petri Pools to do the work. From a cost perspective, they were in the middle, however the quote they provided was the most detailed and thorough. The project was for new coping, tile, plaster, and a new filter system to be installed. Justin Petri gave me options on everything. The work was scheduled to be done end of May, during all the rain storms in the Dallas area. Justin worked with me to get the project done on time by having his teams work on the weekends, including Memorial Day weekend, as it was dry. They paid attention to all the details, cleaning up after each days work, even ensuring the gate was closed to the yard so the dog didn’t get out. Justin was in contact with me every morning, letting me know exactly what was going to happen that day, and who was coming to do it. I am very happy with the results of their work, and would recommend Petri Pools to anyone for any pool service.

We selected Petri Pools from the four bids we received for our pool remodel.  Our decision was based on their excellent reputation for customer service, experience in pool construction & remodeling, and professionalism.  

From the proposal stage to swim-ready completion, Justin Petri and his team were always extremely responsive and helpful in explaining the process; as well as exhibiting great patience in answering our many questions.

The few problems that arose (primarily due to external factors) validated that we had made the right choice because Petri Pools continued to be proactive in their communication & coordination of the work effort with us and the company we contracted to repair the pool leaks (Colin Irons Diving & Pool Service).   Had Justin Petri (and Colin Irons) not been customer-centric organizations, it would have been a nightmare – but our pool was completed on schedule and we are very pleased with the result.    

Also want to extend a special note of appreciation to Mike Rakes, Petri's go-to-guy for pool lighting & electrical.  He was diligent in trying to work through our spa lighting replacement problem as well as being very informative regarding upgrades to our pool cleaner and compool system.

We did a lot of research on the internet and speaking to different pool builders. All of us have heard horror stories about bad contractors and that’s why we were scrutinizing everything before making our decision on which pool company to go with.  Justin left us with a clear sense of integrity, honesty and trustworthiness. We had certain ideas in mind but weren’t sure how the end product would look. That’s where Justin’s expertise became very valuable. He guided us on what would look good and which items would work well together and steered us away from unfavorable cosmetics.

He attends different types of pool training to keep up with all the latest and greatest which made us feel confident in the choices we were making.

Justin was easily accessible by cell phone or email and always returned a reply within minutes when we had questions and concerns since did have weather problems that delayed our renovation. I stressed several times over weather situations and Justin keep reassuring me all would turn out fine and it did. We LOVE our new pool!
