It was excellent. They did an excellent job. They were conscientious and let me know the parts that weren't going to be perfect and that type of thing. I think they were pretty decently priced.

They did a great job. The price was fair and the installers not only did a good job but it was also pretty quick. I didn't have any issues with them.

It worked out very well. They were very cooperative. The flooring was great. They had styles that I liked better than the other places I went to. They would come out and look with me so it wasn't just my opinion. They do tile work and they also do laminates but for our bedroom, I wanted carpeting. It was a very large room with a very large walk-in closet. The room itself was 15 x 14 but the walk-in closet was about double of what a normal walk-in closet would be like.

It was okay. It was not bad actually. It was pretty decent work. The job was pretty professionally done. There were some things that had to be done. After putting stain resistant fluid in the grout there were stains all over the tiles. They pretty much went over the board to make sure that those stains were removed as a part of the project. Overall, I think he was willing to pick up the material because I didn't have a truck. I had told him to pick material. So he did that type of stuff for me as well.

We wanted to replace our carpet with hardwood flooring.  The end product was beautiful but not the color I wanted.  The communication lacked in the process, and  I had to be the initiator through most of the project instead of the provider reaching out to me along the way.  At the end I am happy with the finished floor though.

I cannot compliment the company enough. They helped me choose materials that would fit perfectly in my house. I ordered everything about 6 weeks in advance. On the appointed day, the installers came and proceeded to get the area ready for the tear out and replacement. The Kitchen crew worked 3 days without even taking a lunch break. They explained all the procedures and made sure that it was what I wanted.. They were extremely professional, tireless workers, and talented installers.
On the 4th day, the laminate installers arrived to tear out and install. They were equally as professional and talented as the ceramic installers. The preparation took hours because they wanted a perfect foundation for the floor. They took great pains to make sure every board was placed exactly right.
My house looks amazing. I cannot tell you how many compliments we are receiving.

Design Floors provided excellent services and products regarding the installation of laminate flooring in my home.
They take personal interest in what you are looking to accomplish, especially Rholetta. She even came out to my home on a Saturday, after the store closed, to perform measurements and give me a quote. She recommended some things I had not thought of, such as removing tile from my door entry and front of fireplace. This made the difference in making the room look bigger and gave a better flow of the floor.
Installers showed up on time, moved my larger furniture pieces out of the room. Jaime and his crew took their time and performed quality work. They did not rush me on the final walk around and inspection. All removed carpet, tile and installation debris was removed.
Plan on visiting Rholetta again for some future tile work for the kitchen.

Design Floors was helpful in keeping the scope of work within our budget, but still letting us realize a very nice upgrade.  Their office staff showed us many options in materials, and gave us a quick lesson in the selection of granite, tiles and decorative glass tiles.
The job was performed on the schedule Design Floors proposed.  Their installers were punctual and professional.
Additionally, the estimator for Design Floors under-estimated the amount of granite that would be required for the job.  The shortage amounted to ~$400 in extra material costs; however, Design Floors accepted that the error was committed on their part, and accepted the cost over-run without any drama or hassles.  We found this example of their integrity to be quite refreshing, given the relatively small size of the job.
We definitely intend to use Design Floors in the future, and would recommend them for AL members.

After a LumberLiquidators nightmare, I came here to find someone who was highly rated....found Designer Floors in Lewisville.  From Paul the owner to Juan the foreman to his crew......they go the extra mile, don't complain and will service exactly what you ask for.  The quality is great and the customer service is second to none.
Proceed my confidence.  I'm not a plant, feel free to email me at :  [email protected] and I'll vouch for them personally.  My family just moved to Texas in July.

We worked with Rholetta at Design Floors.  This was an extremely easy process.  Design floors had very well made flooring at a reasonable price.  Initially, the price was much higher than expected, but Design Floors did a great job working within our budget.
The install was amazing.  The install team did the best job I have ever seen on a residential install.  Since our baseboards were removed, the team painted, caulked, and re installed all baseboards removed.  All nail holes were covered.  All flooring was installed without error and the team was very cautious throughout the process.  There was actually a small piece of dry wall damaged due to the pressure of the finished nail gun on the wall.  The design floor installers fixed it without any hesitation.
I would highly recommend Design Floors to anyone thinking of getting flooring.

We had hand scraped hardwood floors in some areas of the first floor of our home (entry, study, etc.) but wanted to extend them to the areas that were currently carpeted (living, dining and master bedroom).  Design Floors came out, removed the carpet, laid hardwood floors and then stained them to perfectly match the floors that we already had (and had been down for 8 years!).  They worked so hard to make all of the floors look as though they were laid at the same time and insure a fluid look from one room to the next.  They matched the stain perfectly and even installed a final coat of poly to all of the floors in my home including the existing ones as well.  They also worked hard to contain and then clean up after all of the dust that is created when flooring is installed.  In addition, they moved all of my furniture out and then back in once the floors were complete.  They were extremely easy to work with and I would highly recommend them!

The sales people in the store were very nice and personable; however, their subcontracters were terrible.  When they installed the granite countertops, they used two or three different colors of grout and the granite was not properly polished.  Our painters had to patch everything up after they installed those countertops. They abroke one of the glass sinks; there were glass chips everywhere. They eventually did make that right, but none-the-less it seemed like they tried to get away with it, but didn’t. We had to have another plumber come out afterwards, too. On completion of the project, they asked me if they could take pictures, since they wanted to use those on the website. I told them no, since if we allowed them to take pictures, we would be endorsing their company, but I wouldn’t recommend this company to anybody.

We enjoyed working with you on your multiple projects and regret that one thing can overshadow the entire job. Again thank you for your feedback, it helps us grow as a company and better serve our customers. Sincerely, The Staff at Design Floors"

I hired Design Floors because they had previously done work for me so I trusted them do to this job while my family went away on vacation. They ended up taking advantage of us not being there but didn't realize I had a family friend who would be working along side them on a different project.  This job started two weeks prior to the actual work with a meeting between myself my very pregnant wife, the salesperson and the lead flooring contractor. We all agreed that plastic would be used to cover all areas and A/C vents where work was taking place to contain the dust. We also agreed that heavy blankets and or cardboard would be used to cover my newly refinished kitchen cabinets.
From day one the job started bad when they didn't show up and didn't call. Disrupting my vacation  I had to make several frantic calls to find out why nobody showed up to work. I finally reached the sales person who told me the weather was bad which I can understand but when I asked why nobody called to inform me of this I never got a straight answer. After they finally arrived and started working they did not use any plastic to contain the dust or cover the A/C ducts. A couple days later after the work started they did finally put up plastic after my family friend complained about it but the damage was already done, dust was everywhere.  This was all documented with pictures and videos from our family friend who witnessed the whole project.  When we got home the whole house was covered in fine dust even the rooms where no work took place like the upstairs  and three of the bedrooms where the doors were left closed. They did  however use plastic to cover the kitchen cabinets but very thin plastic,  not the durable protection that was promised. After their work was done they did try to clean up the cabinets by wiping them down but ending up ruining the finish in several areas. They also put a hole in one the doors and failed to make a note of it.

In their defense Design Floors discounted the cost of the damage to the door the  kitchen cabinets and provided a cleaning lady to try to clean up the dust. I also gave them the opportunity to further discount the price based on the aggravation they caused my family,  lack of project planning and lack of dust protection but they declined telling me I was already getting a good deal. I cant complain about the final product as the tile work was good did but in this case the end does not justify the means and I will not use this company again and I would not recommend them to anyone who doesn't have the time to supervise them to ensure you are getting what you pay for and they do what they promise.

It was a good experience.  They had a highly competitive price, and we really liked our dealings with the company's sales people.  They left samples with us, and they didn't try to pressure us into a decision which we really appreciated.  Furthermore, they did a great job with the installation and responded quickly to some minor issues.

It was wonderful.  The staff at the store always remembers me, and it's always a pleasure to deal with them.  They moved all of the furniture in the living room and moved it back without damaging anything.  They also helped me to clean the concrete slab before they laid the carpeting.  Ultimately, they did a great job with the entire process.

I was referred by a friend when I was also looking through Angie's list for potential flooring companies. I appreciated the help is working through the color and product selection process. The price was competitive. The visit for the estimate and the install were as scheduled. I wanted to do the tear-out on part of the existing flooring and all the baseboard work. Design Floors worked with me to bid the job both ways so that I could make a decision on whether it was worth my time. It was.
Bottom line is the project was a success. The hardwood install looks great and the tile does too. I do plan to use them again and I referred them to my boss for a floor job and understand she is satisfied as well.

I wouldn't use them again.  They took some of the carpet that they were supposed to have left, and the workers weren't very professional.  The owner of the company did replace the carpet that had been taken, but it didn't match what had been installed in the house.  They also went through some drawers in my son's room.
Response from Design Floors Inc

"I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with us. Design Floors installers will not go through customers' drawers. We've had the same installers for years, and know them personally. At the most they might open night stands to know which side of the bed they belong to, or the contents in the dressers could get mixed up because sometimes we have to stand them on an end to move them. I apologize that the carpet scrapes were thrown away. It's normal for us to remove all left over scrapes and trash from the job site when we leave. But if there are large pieces left over we will leave them with the customer. Thanks John DF."
