Joel's Home Repairs

Joel's a good guy and had been working on things at our home - siding, painting, and repairs here and there. Personally, we like him. Workwise: Though the timeframe to completion kept stretching and stretching (weeks and weeks into months and months), we were patient and just kept looking forward to having it all finished. At some point, Joel was coming only occasionally. By then, we had long since paid him at least two-thirds of the agreed upon contract total. Recently, we became seriously concerned, though. Two or three months ago, Joel had asked us for one check for "supplies already purchased", for which he was going to give us receipts that same week. Soon thereafter, he told us he needed an advance check for coming supplies, including the gutters that he was going to install the very next day, as soon as he picked up the gutters in the morning. That was many, many weeks ago and we haven't seen nor heard from Joel since then. He is the company owner, so there really is no one else to call. We've left a voicemail or two, and have sent texts and an e-mail. We really hope he's okay and that he'll contact us and finish up the job in short order, along with giving us the receipts for the $1100 in supplies and materials with which we last trusted him. If anyone hears from Joel Ballard, or anyone at Joel's Home Repairs, please remind him of this job and have him contact us so we can complete the work, close the contract, and update this review.
