We were very pleased with the work that DE Flooring did in our home.  The were able to get our project moving very quickly, and completed it within the time frame that they told us they would.  We were very comfortable thru the entire process.  Our sales rep, Larry, was of great assistance to us as we made our selections.  The owner even stopped by a time or two to make sure we were satisfied.  We would not hesitate to recommend, or use DE Flooring again.

First off I should say that I used DE Flooring in April of 2013 for installation of granite in the master and guest bathrooms. This work went very well and was one of the reasons for using the company this time, but saying that, I was very dissatisfied with the work done recently. After talking to Abdul about the job he was very quick getting someone to do the work. We met on a Friday and he had someone there the next Monday to start work. The problems started with the ceiling. We said that we wanted the repair to match the popcorn texture that was already there, but when the ceiling was textured it did not match. The worker argued, saying that it did match. I had to talk to Abdul to get the worker to texture the ceiling correctly. The same thing happened with the walls and finally after talking with the worker decided to finish it myself. The next thing was the linen cabinet. To get the cabinet to fit, the back end of it had to be cut off and reassembled. This was done , but was left unfinished. I had to bring it to the attention of the worker and Abdul to  get it finished properly. The outside trim of the closet was not even and  there were a number of nail holes left exposed. Again these would not have been fixed if I would not have complained. Another problem was with the door that was made and installed. The door itself looked good, but the inside woodwork that it attached to had gouges in it. Again the worker argued with me about fixing it and it was up to Abdul to get him to do it.Later after I thought the work was complete I talked to Abdul about the workmanship on the job and he told me that he was sorry and that he had fired the contractor, but later I found that the linen closet was missing the holes needed to adjust the shelves and asked Abdul to send someone out to fix the problem. When the person showed up to make the repair, it was the man who Abdul had supposedly fired.Abdul is very personable and I believe that he will do what ever it takes to satisfy the customer, but a customer should not have to  be the general contractor for the job.

I explained the situation on the morning of new year's eve to Abdul (the owner), with a couple of photos on my phone. He arranged for a person within the hour to start the repairs!
The whole job was completed within a few hours. The kitchen sink was remounted and supported properly this time with bracing from underneath. (Obviously, the previous builder/installer thought glue is the only support you need for a kitchen sink!)  The cracks in the granite counter were repaired and are almost not noticeable, unless you are looking for them. I think that  is probably the best that can be done short of replacing the whole counter top and I didn't want to do that yet. I couldn't believe how quickly these guys were able to fix my problems on the same day ! I have other larger projects around the home (with floors, steps, counter-tops) that I want to tackle in future, and I am sure I have now found a reliable, responsive business that does quality work.

I worked very closely with Abdul on the entire job, and also worked with Larry as well on some of the cabinet and design stuff. The project involved a house that was built in 1965 and had partially been updated along the way. However, in many cases the updates that had been done prior to my ownership, were updates on top of things that were built in 1965.
De Flooring came in and provided a whole new look to the house by getting rid of the paneling and updating with sheetrock, and then installing tile that looks like wood in the major living areas. This alone really changed the look of the house.
Where the major change occurred was the master bath. The master bath was originally broken into two rooms, which made the main part of the bathroom very small. The other room was a makeup or dressing area and allowed for an area to sit with a mirror and counter area. DE Flooring came in and tore down the wall separating the two rooms, removed all fur downs above the cabinets and the shower. Installed a whole new ceiling, glass walled shower which opened up the shower and the bathroom, installed new cabinets with lots of storage with a beautiful granite top. Abdul oversaw the entire project, and two things I liked the most in dealing with Abdul was he took care of everything, and he had a high standard of quality. If he did not like something, he made his contractors make it right. I love my new bathroom, and hope to update the other bath down the road.
I would and will use DE Flooring again in the future.

Abdul, the owner, kept his promise. This process was extremely frustrating but in the end, the services requested were honoroed and completed to our satisfaction. His granite installers were extremely prompt and professional. I recommend Abdul and his team take a close look at their scheduling process when it comes to his tile team. Abdul is customer oriented, and will work with you but I recommend closely reviewing the work and ensuring you are clear on your expectations.

"We at DE regrets to know that you have not received a returned call for an appointment with us. WE are normally on top of all our calls for free estimates and wondered how this happened. Our phone number sometimes are dialed incorrectly and ends up in our other competitor's store whose phone number is quite similar to our office phone number. I said this because we had the same problem a few weeks ago and found out that this was the case when the customer came by with the wrong phone number she has written. Our office number is 281 338 1245 and we are waiting to be of service to you soon. Thank you. Abdul Alsahli"

We purchased a new house and it needed a lot of help.  We had seen Johnathan in the showroom about three weeks before we closed on the house.  He was knowledgable and personable.  After we closed, my husband called and scheduled an in home appointment, so they could see what they were in for.  Abdul, the owner, came to the appointment.  He was prompt and professional.  We went to the showroom to pick out our finishes, Abdul stayed late at the showroom so that he could meet us (totally working with my schedule).  I showed him everything that I wanted and he made suggestions (not pushy, professional); the suggestions were in line with our tastes.  He gave us an estimate right there and we agreed; they started the next day.  They took three weeks to finish our entire house.  Abdul's subs were professional, clean, prompt, and true craftsmen.  Throughout the process we made changes; we were always provided an accurate cost and a change order.  There were little touches, too numerous to count, that Abdul did that just finished the house beautifully.  We have received so many compliments on how gorgeous the house looks.  Abdul only wanted to smiles on our faces when he was finished.  We were not living in the house at the time of the remodel, but he knew that we wanted to be done quickly and he made that happen.  He, also, fixed some things that a handyman had started and messed up, at no charge to us.  If you want someone to make it right and have your house look beautiful in a timely fashion; DE Flooring is the place to go.  You get what you pay for; we paid for excellence and we recieved it.  I will be posted before and after pictures as soon as we are finished unpacking.  However, I invite anyone who is considering DE to come and look at my house in person for a reference.  Just call Abdul.

We visited with Mr. Abdul Sah-li, the owner, at DE Flooring and discussed replacement of carpet with a wood product in the rooms listed above.  We made a preliminary selection but eventually located another source for the product we wanted installed. I was concerned Mr Sah-li would not be interested in only the installation, but he was very amicable and still interested in that part of the job. I notified Mr. Sah-li when material delivery was scheduled and he scheduled the job for installation.  His installers arrived about mid-morning six days after the material was delivered, and that evening before they left, we had beautiful new hardwood floors.  And that included removal of furniture, removal of carpet, preparation of the floor, glue down installation of 9/16 engineered hardwood flooring, installation of shoemold and trim, replacement of  furniture, and removal of all debris and removed flooring products.
The installers were obviously experienced and highly skilled, hardworkers, and very considerate and careful towards us and our home.  The fully satisfied our expectations and we are very happy with the results.

Over the course of the last three business days, I exchanged about a half dozen phone calls with these folks.  The spokesperson, Rena, usually had to take notes on my request, talk to somebody, then call me back.  She asked questions about the job I proposed and its purpose.  Some questions went rather far afield, for the purpose of the job.
Eventually last Friday a workman was promised who would "come and look" at the job today.  Earlier today, Ms Rena called to say the workman would come to do the job for $150.  She offered to accept my payment by credit card over the phone.  I refused, pointing out that this is not the proper way to do business.  I offered to pay upon completion, and would be pleased to use my credit card if acceptable, or pay by check.  In a subsequent call that I missed, Ms Rena requested that I call back and furnish my email address.  When I called back again, I was told that payment would be asked in advance, for "that is what my boss says."
I replied that prepayment was unacceptable, that I would not do business with their firm, and that I wished them a good day.
In my judgment, it would be unwise for anyone to do business with these folks under the conditions they ask.

"DE Flooring appreciates your call for our service. For us, there is no small or big jobs. All jobs are very important to us. However, in order for us to dispatch our skilled installers to a job, we have to have an agreement with our customers in writing with a commitment by depositing a 50% down payment to do a job. You were informed about this company policy. This policy is implemented to protect our customers. Having an agreement and commitment with our customers will warranty our labor. We only use skilled installers that are bonded and insured. We still want the opportunity to serve you. Thank you. Abdul Alsahli"

First of all, Abdul took the time on our first trip to his store to sit down with us to go over the entire process and listen to what we wanted to achieve in the end.  His friendly manner and knowledge of his products and services made us feel comfortable.  He immediately came to our home to see our kitchen, measured and gave us a price.  We did not have to make an appointment and wait.  He followed us home right then! He stressed that he would not be satisfied until he saw the smile on our faces when the job was finished.  He was true to his word throughout the entire project. He even drove us to the granite yard in his own truck so we could see the exact slabs that were placed side by side. Then he had them write our name on the slabs and took our picture standing in front of the slabs.  Yes, he does know how to make friends with his customers.
Abdul came to see the work as it was being done.  He wanted to make sure that his contractors were doing the work as he wanted it done.  The skilled craftsmen were a pleasure to have in our home while they worked.  If there were questions they were happy to answer them and take care of our concerns. When the jobs was finished, Abdul sent his cleaning service over to clean the dust that spread through the home during the work process.  Now that was a great job well done by Abdul and his craftsmen at DE Flooring in League City, Texas.

My wife and I started looking to remodel our Master Bath a couple of years ago after noticing a moldy smell and having problems with allergies.  After removing the carpet (yes carpet in the bathroom), the smell did not abate.  We spent months demoing small parts to find the issue until, finally, we found a leak in the pony wall that separated to separated the bath from the shower.  In order to speed up the process, we decided. to look at getting help to redo everything.  Looking through BBB and Angie's List we finally decided to use D.E. Granite and Flooring as a General Contractor.  The first bid was almost $25,000, mostly because we did not have a good idea as to what we wanted.  We regrouped and finalized what we wanted.  It did take us almost 5 months to figure that out but that is our doing. We purchased the fixtures, tile, vinyl (VCT) flooring ourselves, the tub, toilet and building materials were purchased through general.
We finally signed the papers on Thanksgiving weekend and put a down payment of 50% on the work and set a December 10 start date.
I took off work for 3 weeks (and told D.E. that I was doing so) on a "10 days on site" job to be available should any issues arise.
The first thing was that the start was delayed by a week because the tub could not be delivered on time.  Start date moved to Dec 17.  That Monday, the electrician came out to install the exhaust fan from an $850 quote.  He was 3 hours late and "could only put a standard fan in".  No one on Tuesday, Wednesday Morning someone shows up to "float the floor" and the general wanted to put the vinyl floor in the next day but the tub had not been installed yet so they changed their mind.  The tub showed up on Saturday, Dec 22.  That's right the first week complete and only the small exhaust fan was installed and the floor was smooth.  Plumber showed up on time the 22nd and installed tub and faucet rough-ins. Two over-sites in the generals purchases is that the tub was not ordered with the optional "tile lip" so it did not fit well into to spot and the tub and facing skirt were two different shades of white.  Tile guys in on Sunday and Monday ( Christmas Eve to make up for lack of progress the week before).
After the floor was installed (had to call 4+ times to the general to get them there) the plumber informs me that the toilet rough-in would have to be changed because the toilet did not meet standard offsets and we would have to tear a large chunk of the wall out, move the plumbing and have the wall fixed before that toilet went in.  Estimated a 2 week delay... I changed to a cheaper toilet and we were able to moved on.
I met some very good tradesmen from this remodel but all but the plumber was 2 hours late at a minimum, the project was not staged well.  The trades did not speak well of the general and the general did not speak well of the trades.  I found that particularly odd.
I spent more time managing the General Contractor than I should have.  They were very understanding and apologetic to my plight but not as helpful as I had hoped at times.  The general did arrange to have trades onsite at odd times to attempt to make up for lost time.  I would have preferred a solid project schedule.
In the end, it got done to my satisfaction but not until February 2.
My wife and I are in full agreement, we will use a couple of the subs but never again the general contractor.

i stopped by DE Showroom which is nice.  They are very nice to talk to in the showroom.  They set appointment and came to my house to make a quote for granite countertops.  I never heard from them again, even after calling and leaving 3 messages for the salesman to call me back.  I think they are pretty busy, if I went back to the showroom probably would have gotten some attention, but I just chose to go with one of the other guys that called me back.

Overall DE Flooring did great work, I'm happy with the bathroom. That being said, its important to mention some things.
FYI, most of DE Flooring's craftsmen are sub-contractors, which is contradictory to what Abdul told me, that all his workers are employees of DE Flooring. Regardless, they are all very professional and good at what they do. Abdul was very in tune for the first 2 weeks of the job, he visited a couple of times during that time. After the 2 weeks didn't see too much from him. Although he was fairly responsive when called, not as accommodating as when he was getting the bid. Not a big deal since his contractors did the work and did it well.
During Abdul's initial visit there was much more promised which he didn't deliver on. If you do decide to go with DE, make sure you take notes on what he says he will do. I guarantee you will not remember everything when you sit down to help help list the items in the contract. Some items were tacked on to my bill at the end with no authorization although we negotiated a flat fee for doing the whole bathroom. Wasn't too happy about that, didn't feel like arguing and just paid it. At times it was obvious Abdul didn't want to shell out the extra money to do a good job. This disappointed me because his staff and sub-contractors were very helpful and professional.
I was told the job would take 2 weeks. In reality it took over a month. Things happens sub-contractors don't show up on time or at all not uncommon. But if you have x amount of years doing something you should give a better estimate on its completion.
Overall I think DE Flooring is a company that means well and has great folks that work for them. I wouldn't steer anyone away just be aware.

We chose DE Flooring to install a new granite countertop in our kitchen, place a granite facing on our fireplace and install a new backsplash in our kitchen.  They worked very closely with me throughout the selection process, helping me select the perfect granite for the countertop.  We had not planned on doing the fireplace, however in an effort to get our business, they threw in the granite for the fireplace surround for free.  That made their price too good to pass up.  The installers had some difficulty getting the fireplace surround to sit flush and match up with the hardwood moulding on the floor.  It took a long time for them to get it right, but the installer was kept working until we were happy.  The countertops looked very nice, however just a few days after installation, one section of the countertop became so loose that we were able to lift it up completely off of the cabinet.  I called the office
and they quickly sent the granite installers back to correct the problem.  I did not select the backsplash until after the granite was
installed, once again the staff at DE flooring worked with me to select the right tile.  The tile installers did a very nice job, we did need them to come back out and re-grout some of the sections that were showing gaps, especially around the outlets.  It did take multiple calls and missed appointments to get them to come back out for those repairs, but they were made and the overall result was wonderful.  The quality of the work was tremendous, and the staff was very helpful.
My only complaint with DE Flooring was the billing.  Our initial quote was based on the granite and a general backsplash.  I changed my mind on the granite that I wanted, but was told there would be no additional charge for the change.  Whenever I selected the backsplash no one mentioned price to me at all.  After the backsplash was ordered, when I was selecting the grout, the owner informed me that the tile I selected was very expensive and there would be an extra charge of a "few hundred
dollars" as a result. At this point the tile had already been ordered so I was unable to change my selection.  I told the owner that I likely would not have selected that tile if I had known about the additional price, but I was not given that option. In the end, they split the price increase with us, so we paid an additional $200.

I realized when I saw the guy in the store, that I had actually purchased tile from them for my floors in the past when they were at another location.
His prices are very reasonable.

I think it actually took them a little longer than they had expected, but they worked very hard.  There were two guys, and I think they were trying to do things so perfectly, and so meticulously.  They cleaned up everything perfectly before they left.

I feel that they really went out of their way to do a very good job for me.

DE Flooring Granite and REmodeling came into our home in late September after having visited our home and after having given us what we considered a reasonable estimate for the remodeling and repair work we wanted and needed done.  They came  in and promplty began work never missing a day until the job was completed in late October.  They were professional, efficient and consistant with each job that needed to be done in our home.  If we felt there needed to be a change or correction it was addressed quickly.  They were professional, efficient and consistant with each job that needed to be done in our home.  Communication with the contractor and the crew went well.  We are very pleased with the outcome of the repair and remodeling job  DE Fooring has done.  We consider DE Flooring a fair company that does excellent work and would recommend  them for  your flooring, repair or remodeling needs.

We had a very good experience with DE flooring. Abdul the owner handled everything we wanted and keep his word about the not being finished until we were happy. His work comes with life time warranty on his workmanship. They arrived on time and even worked on week-ends and around our schedule. At the end of the job he sent in 2 cleaning people to cleaned the whole house, from the ceiling fans, to the floor, they cleaned every room that was effected by the work DE Flooring did. He has professional crews for each type of work, tile crew, granite crew, cabinet crew, plumbing crew, and cleaning crew. If we were not happy with what they had done they said they would have stayed until we were happy( we were very happy). The only thing I would have changed is taken Abduls suggestion and spread the work out, so both kitchens were not out of commission at the same time. The only thing DE Flooring needs to do is seal the tile floor and they will do that next week.

We had a sales rep come out to give us a quote, which sounded very reasonable to us. When the tilers arrived a few days later to do the job, they said we weren't charged the correct amount. The sales rep didn't account for the extra $1/sq ft for the marble 2x2 inserts. The sales rep agreed he misquoted us, but gave the tilers the choice to do the job for the original bid or leave. Since they had nothing else to do but to go back home, they agreed to do the work for what we were quoted. They were very professional--they left the worksite very clean, even outside of our garage where they did the tile cutting. They picked up all of the scraps of tile and boxes and swept our garage floors. We are perfectionist, and their quality of work exceeded our level of expectation.
