Downstairs unit quit blowing air, I invesitgated and found the unit in the atic the outside unit frozen solid (not good.....). Called for service and AAron, the tech. that responded checked the system and found the evaporator (in the atic) had rusted through in several places and was leaking -- the original 16 year old system. He showed me the damage and explained the options from recharging for a temporary fix or replacing the leaking part. He also recommended replacing the furnace at the same time due to rust - not required but due to the age of the system and labor needed to change the faulty part, not a bad idea. Long story short, he gave the options to repair the old system as well as the prices to replace the entire system. Becase the unit was old (16+) years and the costs involved to patch together the system, I decided to replace the entire system. We went with the basic 13 seer 5 ton system with financing over 5 years and a 10- year parts / labor warranty. Installation was next day and the crew did a great job installing, cleaning the mess and getting it working. Aaron took a great deal of time troubleshooting the new unit, it kept blowing the breaker - he came out promptly 3 times to replace the breaker and trouble shoot the system and even gave his personal cell number so we could catch the problem wehn it occured. He eventually found a pinched wire in the new unit (from Trane - just one of those things.....) anyway it works perfectly now -- thanks for all the extra effort and prompt response.....
We also had a new return duct run from the master bedroom to improve airflow, the only issue we had was slow repair of the atic stairway that had to be removed to fit the new unit. I think just a lack of communication with the instal crew --- no problem at all, it just took a couple phone calls and all is well.
I always worry when hiring a contractor because I've hired a few bad ones, but I will use Daniels again, they did a great job and I am very happy with the work. I do think the cost was competative, A\C is expensive but it does feel great knowing that for at least the next ten years, the new unit is covered.

Had prev used (Air One) for the same problem a year ago on my other unit. Needed a new computer board. Thought I would try a closer company , found on Angies list. Phone and svc tech was exc. Tech came at the correct time, very professional. Said was computer board also for this unit. Asked the price, said between $600-$800. Over double what I paid the year before. Said thanks ,but no thanks. Called Air1One, same company I used the previous year. Very prompt and also great svc. Out the door, $316. So less than 400, even after paying Daniels $79 . Nice professional attitude, but double the going rate is to much extra..

We ended up going with Daniels since it was highly rated on Angie's list and the fact that we could use our Home Depot Card to finanance the unit made it a deal breaker. the 0.00% interst for 12 monhs was awsome and since we received the Smart Rebate of $1075.00 with the help of Daniels, no one else could beat the deal. I love my Trane 16 seer ( XL15i)!! I have used it for over 60 days and it humms so nicely! The 12 year parts AND Labor that came with the price is an awsome deal since can rest assure that I am covered. These guys are close to me and have been in business a long time and I want them to be in business if i have to call them. I am very happy that I used this vendor. I was not home for the installation, however, my husband was and he stated the crew was awesome at installing the new equipment, very professional, knowledgable, and courteous. He made them coffee since it was so cold outside, by the time I got home, the work was done and my house was fairly warm. the only regret i have is not having asked for the thermostat that reads the outside temperature. Overall, I highly recommned them

Our upstairs AC unit died on a Sunday night. Late that evening (3/20/2011) I emailed Daniels Air Inc to get a quote/make contact. I found their name in a publication mailed to our home which rated local service providers. They called me immediately on Monday morning, and Toby was at my house giving my system an evaluation and a firm quote at 11AM that day. He explained very thoroughly what type of system I should purchase. I had already done my homework and he gave me excellent information. We did not stop there. I interviewed four other companies. The price difference between the Daniels Air Inc quote and another service provider for the exact same equipment was $4000. It pays to shop around. Our three major deciding factors were 1) obviously price and quality 2) I needed the system installed by 3/24/2011 and 3) financing. Daniels Air was the only company I spoke with who could offer extended financing at 0% interest. So, for top of the line equipment we got the best price, the best service, and fantastic financing. They scheduled the installation for 3/23/2011 (a day ahead of my required date). They arrived on time and in uniform. A separate crew of plumbers arrived to properly cap off our old AprilAir humidifier system. One of the Daniels owners was present for quite a while to inspect the progress of the job. God bless them, it took them about 7 hours to do the job, but they did it right. Everything is level, duct work was sealed correctly, and all of the refrigerant pipes are wrapped in thick black foam (which they never were before). They even sealed the area around the pipe entrance into the house with silicone. Israel was the man in charge of the crew. He answered all of my questions about use and care of this equipment and provided all the manuals and paperwork. When they left you could not even tell they had been there. All of the old machinery was hauled away. They even swept the attic. And the unit outside is so quiet you can stand next to the compressor and talk on the phone. Amazing. I would also like to say how wonderful the office is to deal with. I must have placed ten phone calls to Monica to go over all kinds of questions I had about the financing, the warranty, and proof of Energy Star rating. She gave me everything I asked for right away and was as pleasant as could be every single time. Now that's service. While I am talking about warranties...There was no other warranty like the one offered by Daniels Air Inc. They have their own extended warranty which is way in excess of the manufacturer's warranty. We have 12 years parts, coil, compressor, 12 years LABOR for any warranty repair, and 20 years on the heat exchanger. And we got a year of HVAC maintenance for free. I would recommend this company to anyone. You will get a superior product, a superior installation, and a fine family company to back it up, at an amazing price.

They were friendly, professional and had a great rating which I agree with. They are trustworthy and did a good job. The quality of work was excellent and very professional.

My newly installed A/C unit upstair was not cooling, which is a BIG deal is August in Texas. I called Daniels around 4:00 PM and fully expected the earliest anyone would come would be the next day. The scheduler on the phone was very nice and said she would find someone to come out ASAP and wondered if I minded if they arrived that evening. The service tech was at my house in less than an hour and the problem was my breaker switch had been tripped. Daniels could have rightfully charged me for the service call which I would have happily paid but he charged me nothing. Daniels installed the new unit in April and I thought they did a great job but did not take the time to submit a report, but after the excellent service and response I received on this instance made me want to let everyone know that this is honest straight forward company. I will be using Daniels for now on.

Responsiveness was great. They sent out a technician the same morning I called. He said that the coil was iced over and we'd have to shut down the A/C for three hours to let it all melt. He said the ice we could see at the ground level was just the end of the ice problem; that there was a two-foot thick block of ice in the attic. The first guy never told us that. He just took a hair dryer to the bit of ice at where the pipe attaches to the ground unit. When it was melted and we could fill the freon, we had to replace about half the freon. The first guy just "topped it off" (probably because the system was still frozen in the attic). Our technician was very knowledgable and told us a lot about our A/C unit. He had another call he had to do while we waited for the ice to melt, and he kept me informed about his status and ETA during the day. When he returned to fille the freon, he was right on time. He even told us that he'd try to keep our system running until winter, when we'd get a better price on a replacement. He had a lot of good things to say about Daniel's Air Conditioning, too. He'd been employed by them before, then left the area, then came back and was rehired. It's refreshing to talk to a technician who doesn't bash his employer, and it was nice to hear that his employer wanted to hire him back, too. We were very impressed.

This contractor was referred to us by Home Depot. Before we made our agreement to buy we checked them out with Angie's List and there was nothing negative. After getting a bid from two other companies we went with these guys and what a great decision! We were very happy from the time we first contacted them, to our meeting and throughout installation. They were very professional and knowledgeable. It was an enjoyable experience to deal with this company. They finished promptly (in fact, ahead of the time they approximated) and we are enjoying our cool house and lower cooling bill. We will be calling them for our downstairs unit when the time comes.

Very professional organization. Prompt and gave very clear estimates of work that was needed. I have had many estimates on this particular problem and I would say that they lean towards the high side. Overall, great experience and very trustworthy group of people.

We know the owner personally. They are professional and responsive. I would rate them highly and would use them in the future.

The job that was performed was very good and put in place properly. The ones that put in the units did well and they were put in place correctly. I found them to be very knowledgeable and very skilled.
