"Thank you for taking your time to review us. However, this was far from 'labor only' service. We purchased and installed the following equipment and parts to bring the unit up to safety and state code standards: New: gas supply, brass gas valve, gas drip leg, brass recirculation system parts, expansion tank and all associated fittings, Flood Stop system with brass solenoid valve, brass check valve, metal heater pan and associated parts, new temperature and pressure relief line, permits, completed and passed city inspection; all so noted on your invoice. New unit obtained as we are the AO Smith factory Service Agents; old unit hauled and properly disposed. Response time 15 minutes as garage had flooded. Parts and materials $370. Tech labor $557. Standard service fee $39. Less Angies List $42. discount. Previous heater installations by other companies were neither permitted nor installed to city and state code. They ended up waiving the service fee and giving me $20 off in addition.
They routed the drain twice, used a de-greasing agent called Clobber, and even installed a universal toilet tank repair kit, which I had on hand, at no charge.
These were real plumbers, as opposed to the last company I used, which sent technicians, who charged more to unclog a drain, and then wouldn't guarantee the work unless I purchased additional services.
I will definitely use Kerrville Plumbing again, and have already told my neighbors about them. I plan to use them to unclog a relative's drain.
