I had a great experience with American Landscape Management, LLC. They came in, installed the Zoysia SOD quickly and it looks great, so far! I also had them till my front and side yard to prep it for Hydromulch. Cole is a stand-up guy. We had a misunderstanding about tilling the side of the yard. He was unaware that I wanted this done. I gave him a call and he came back and took care of it at no additional charge.

Great company to hire for sod installation

Cole is very professional and responsive. His company has done outstanding work installing the new grass in areas of the lawn where repairs were needed. The new sod looks great. I'm very pleased with the work done.

Cole is very responsive and his company did an outstanding job of install my new lawn. I had a very diseased St. Augustine and had Cole replace it with palisades Zoysia, it is simply beautiful. I also had him quote and create a stone patio addition. Not a good idea. Great with landscaping and grass installation, no so much on stone patios. Stone not locked or dug into place and the pea gravel is just poured in between the flagstone and truly hurts the feet around the pool. Do not get me wrong - Cole is excellent at service and grass installation.

Couldn't have gone any smoother from initial contact to installation. Cole and his crew show up and finished on time and within the quoted price. My yard went from being the embarrassment to the envy of the neighborhood in one day. Not only have the neighbors complimented my new yard, strangers actually knocked on my door the day after installation wanting to know the name of the landscaping company who did the work. I couldn't be more pleased!

If you are considering hiring this company my advice would be to verify the exact scope of work to be performed and specifically what is included in the overall cost. The bid I received clearly stated that they would till about 4-6 inches down to turn up old grass... This was critical to me as the old lawn had a problem with wild onions/garlic that can only be eliminated by use of a non-selective herbicide such as Roundup or by physical removal of the bulbs from the soil. I watched the crew perform the scalping and then they started spreading top soil. When I called Cole to question this he told me that he checked the soil again after he submitted the bid and had decided (without telling me) that yard didn't need tilling. I explained my concerns about the wild onion/garlic bulbs not being removed, but he said that he was 99% confident that the new zoysia sod would choke everything else out". When challenged he agreed to adjust the price downward slightly to reflect the lower labor costs if they weren't going to till the soil. The bid also included (or so I thought) the cost to re-mulch all the front flower beds. When they were packing up to leave I asked when they proposed to do this, and was told oh that's extra. I'm not a CPA, but when the cost for a specific item or task appears ABOVE the bottom line, I naturally assume that the overall bottom line cost includes it. Apparently these guys operate a different accounting system, because the bottom line bid did not include the cost of mulching the beds. Overall the sod looks OK at best. I followed the care instructions to the letter, but there are still large areas, and individual squares here and there where the sod has died. Based on my subsequent research that is due to either poor quality sod in the first place, or, more likely, improperly prepared soil. The sprinkler system provides good coverage (this was verified by the installers), so it isn't lack of water. In fact one large area that has died is directly adjacent to a sprinkler head. I asked about a warranty on the sod, but guess what? No warranty. Based on this experience I will not be hiring this company to do any future work, nor would l recommend them. Only time will tell on the wild onion/garlic issue, but my overall feeling is that these guys were behind schedule (they showed up 3 hours late), and did a rush job. Apparently the results reflect that.
