True Fix Air Conditioning and Heating

True Fix found a way to work us in to their schedule when our condenser fan motor stopped working in the middle of this summer's heat wave. They fixed the problem but found a few more items that needed attention, just not immediately. True Fix ordered the parts and returned a few weeks later to complete the repair work. They ran into some further issues and this is the reason for my review: The fellas stayed and worked in the rain to solve the problem, got themselves soaked, called in extra help when the problem wasn't getting solved, and came back an extra day to really figure out the issue and solve it. True Fix is stand-up people. They stood behind their work and owned the solution. I'm a customer for life.

Checked Freon and evaporator compartment drain. Attempted to clear drain. Came out twice to clear drain. Not sure yet if it’s clear. They charge every time they come, even for the same issue. Technician left a bit of a mess for me to clean up. $400 total bill. Owner wouldn’t return call. Seemingly competent. But expensive.

They do a great job. They are very efficient and quick. They are also reasonably priced.

I would use them again. I have no reason not to.

The service was very professional.   The workers were courteous and careful to keep the surrounding area clean.  The one thing about True Fix is that they go above and beyond what is required.   When they replace the evaporator coil, they replace with high quality, branded products and ensure that the ancillary components are up to par as well.  In my case they replaced 5 feet of adjacent ducting and the floater pan and switch.  
They were also helpful and informative about the air conditioner maintenance and even made a "free" followup visit to ensure eveything was working properly.

Everything seemed to go well.  They cleaned up after themselves and the A/C initially worked great.  There was an issue for a short time a couple weeks after the install, but they were very quick to remedy the situation and all is well now. They helped us get a better balance of cool air flow so that we no longer have really cold spots and really warm spots.

I started out with them and it was been older now. He's retired and he passed the company to his nephew and he is running the company really nice, down to earth, good people, trustworthy, and I just really like them. I felt like they're very comparable to any other.

I had True Fix out to look at my unit after our buyers inspector said we had major issues. We did not think anything too major was wrong with it and True a fix proved that for us. They looked at our inspection report and saw right off the bat that one of the major issue was due to the inspector not knowing that we had one unit and not two, as well as not properly checking the system temperature. I was a bit worried about someone wanting th charge us to repair things that did not need to be but True Fix did not do that to us, they were very honest and told us what the issues were. The only reason I cannot give them all A ratings is because the office was a bit of a mess when we booked, one girl told my husband it would be Friday afternoon and that was it and when he called back to see if we could get a better to time frame to be home a different lady had said the first person had dispatched it wrong and needed to figure out what she had done. She did call back and tell us it would not be till after 5, but they got they did get there a little earlier. We own our own business as well so understood how scheduling can be a bit difficult, especially if the first person we spoke to does not usually do it.

They have been really good. I have been very happy with it and the results of it. I have a service contract. They are an authorized Trane dealer and A/C and heat repair company.

What impressed me was they really went through everything in detail. They washed the unit thoroughly which is something not everyone does on an a/c check up.  They are knowledgeable when they make their recommendations.

We joined their warranty type service program. It is called their silver blue ribbon program. Everything was great. We've used them for a long time. It has been about 6 years and they are great. We will definitely continue to use them.

I've used True Fix Air Conditioning since 1980, they are a family run business, excellent business.  I had them out last fall for my heater inspection.  They are very knowledgeable and they really work with you in terms of focusing on maintaining things, fixing this as opposed to replacing things.  They replaced all my duct work and it was very inexpensive.  And I've got two systems and they actually improved over what the builders had done.  and replacing all the duct work in the attic.  The duct work cost $2200.  That's cheaper what they usually charge but it was off season so I got a discount because of that.  Before I had seen things like $3000 to do mine.  It's a big house, lots of duct work.  They are a great group.

I have used True Fix at my residence, and they have done a great job.  I was moving my small business into a new site, so I had the guys come out to inspect the HVAC before I moved in.  They came promptly and did good work.  They might not be the cheapest, but I would rather pay a little more and know that it was done correctly.

Started using True Fix in 2010.  I have found them to be responsive, reliable, and competent.  They fixed what needed to be fixed and nothing else.  They got everything checked out and running and I plan to use them again in 2012.

Only concern was that when they inspected one of the coils in the attic they missed the fact that the access door from the side was loose and cool air was escaping into the attic, I had to wedge the door shut, rescrew it, and tape it up. Not sure they had anything to do with it, but expected they should have noticed it and reported it without me having to go up there myself

There are some companies for whom the only job is to come and make money. They also claim $39 as maintenance. They say that something or the other is wrong even though there is nothing that?s wrong. So once I called True Fix Air Conditioning out of frustration since they were recommended by someone else. However, they came out and did a fantastic job with the maintenance. I was very happy with them. They were very professional and didn?t charge for unnecessary things. So I kept on using their services since then. Their price is a little high and they were quite punctual. They are good. I am going to use their services in the future and in fact, I just now called them.

We have been using these folks since they installed the new unit in 2002 and have been extremely satisfied with their services until this last inspection when their technician missed a plugged drain line that led to a water overflow that caused damage to a bedroom ceiling. We negotiated what we consider is a fair settlement for the damages with True Fix and look forward to additional future services from them. We do still recommend them to other folks.
