Please be warned .. Pros: insured & competitive cost Cons: not punctual, terrible communication, unprofessional, disrespectful & takes no accountability. We submitted an inquiry for one oak tree to be removed and the other oak tree in my back yard to be trimmed. They sent an approval for one of the cheapest quotes I had received and I approved (without talking to anyone in person of my vision) and they showed up, all within 24 hours. I made it very clear in THREE separate emails (to the owner) that I didnâ t want anyone to touch my tree that needed trimmed until I could show someone what I envisioned, since I had yet to show anyone; I had seen pictures of their work and I wanted a different look with less taken off than their normal work thatâ s been done- I had a specific vision I wanted to see carried through. They showed up an hour early while I was in the middle of an appointment that I couldnâ t get out of that the owner had known about; we had talked that morning about a timeline as well. This was fine, I previously mentioned via email that the tree being taken down could be done without my presence, if needed. It all took a turn for the worst when I started watching them hack off huge limbs of my other tree before I arrived home. Through panic & disbelief, I called everyone I could to try to get them to stop. It took someone having to drive over there to get them to stop and wait for me. Long story short, I showed up and my tree had been butchered (in my eyes- which is pretty important, if you ask me). I immediately called the owner and he had known and showed zero sympathy and blamed the workers entirely. He took zero accountability, didnâ t even think to reach out to me to begin with and failed to apologize; he outright could care less. This made me more upset than I already was. I told the owner I wanted a discount or replacement of my tree. He didnâ t seem to mind a discount and said the guys working would be paying out of their pocket for what I didnâ t..?! My husband asked the workers to take down the VERY small palm on the side of our house and the guy onsite let me know; this was the least they could do? Benito (on site manager?) was apologetic but also claimed they were not told about the back tree needing approval, so in the end someone was a liar and I HATE liars.. they offered to trim my front bushes but I did not allow; I didnâ t want them butchering anything else honestly. When it came time to pay, we were literally harassed for 24 hours getting several calls, texts, voicemails about wanting payment but I had yet to receive an updated invoice. When I reached out, the owner mentioned the workers did extra work so we basically should pay the agreed amount?!? Iâ m sorry, they took 90 seconds to remove a 4 foot tree(didnâ t even grind the stump!) and Iâ m expected to pay full price after wrongful damage and emotional/mental anguish??? The owner then had THE AUDACITY to question our integrity because I still expected a discount and told me â to pay what I thought was fairâ . I ended up paying 75% which I think is MORE than fair even after being blatantly disrespected by the worst customer service I have EVER received. If you have a small job, sure go with these guys. If you care about your garden & yard, please find someone else. â You get what you pay forâ ..

Was doing comparative search on Home Advisor but did not request a visit. A rep from On Point appeared at my front door - unrequested and obviously a hard sell. Seeing he was there, I asked for a quote. $4,000. for taking down 2 65 yr old trees - pine and American Ash, When challenged, price quickly changed - giving me "Valentines Day" and senior citizen discounts. Price now was $2,800. Guys appeared when scheduled but obviously no good communication from off site team leader. Some guys just hung around while others did yeoman's labor professionally. Fallen trees put in 2 loads on long bed trailer. Where was the chipper? Biggest section of tree trunks on front lawn over water meter for removal next day. Too much weight! Thankfully no leaks. Had to call back for final full clean up. Actual cutting down done well. Haul off, clean up and unsolicited first appearance and price gouging need your attention. Recommend conditionally.

The crew was obviously experienced. They all worked together very well and worked hard. I had four large Oak trees removed and they had the right equipment to do it. All of the debris was removed and dirt spread out. Very impressive! I will hire them again and highly recommend them to anyone.

On Point Tree Service does not care about any mess or damage done by their workers Update: The owner, Bryan, called as soon as my reviews were posted and lied and made more false promises. He claimed he would send someone if I took down my reviews. I said to clean the driveway stains first and he refused. That speaks for itself as to his integrity. Original Review: I chose to use On Point Tree Service to trim my backyard trees based upon the previous five star reviews. Be careful of making the same mistake since, from my perspective, the raves are definitely not deserved. It may be ok if they do not leave a mess or do damage to your home, but donâ t expect good customer service from Bryan, the owner, if they do. Although they originally parked their oil leaking truck and wood chipper in the street when they arrived, they moved it to my newly refinished driveway while I was busy elsewhere in the house. They did this solely for their convenience to save a few steps. Their leaking truck and chipper left a mess in the previously spotless driveway. I notified Bryan and he apologized and said that he would educate his guys so that it did not happen to anyone else. His guys should have been trained in the first place but still, better late than never, since he also said that he would send someone out to clean the mess. But his actions speak louder than his words. We did what we could to sop up the oil while waiting for the person who never showed up. When no one showed up the following day, I tried to contact Bryan for an ETA and he ignored my requests for days. When he finally responded, he said that he could MOST LIKELY get someone out here next week to â try to get as much out as they couldâ which would be allowing 7 days for the oil spill to continue to further seep into the concrete. He also said that he would â touch base with me the next day to confirmâ an ETA. Again, that never happened. That is completely unacceptable customer service and definitely shows a complete lack of care or concern. BE WARNED, itâ s better to go with a customer service oriented company that takes care when working at a customerâ s home and takes responsibility and quick action when damage is done. Believe the negative reviews and not the ownerâ s false promises to make things right.
