Let me say that we do not operate our business in a manor that does not put our customers first. I feel that a phone technical difficulty was in play during this time frame and we did not receive the messages. I am very sorry. We missed a great opportunity to serve you in your time of need. I was very upset with Ideal Air because that is an awful misquote and I was the one who would have paid the price. There was an 800 dollar difference that was quoted between service call fees and estimated labor vs what was actually wrong.
"The owner, James Sharp contacted the homeowner to try to resolve this issue. Mr. Sharp offered to come take a look at the work performed to confirm the repair, however, the homeowner felt it was not necessary to come out so he refunded her money spent with Ideal Air. He also offered to refund the expense she had incurred with the other company. We have used this situation as an opportunity to improve and train our staff."

He reported on mold in the plenum and offered a fix for the problem, which would be expensive but he didn't hard-sell it - just provided info and answered my questions about it.

The service agent came at the earliest time of the scheduled two hour windows. Due to transposed phone number, he did not get ahold of me before he arrived. That was no big deal. Once he arrived, I took him around to the compressor and he checked the Freon and it was full. We then went up in the attic and at first he could not find anything but then reached over to the far side and found the transit section of the return had been sucked in. It was pulling heat (about 120 degrees) into the ac unit. He showed me what it had happened and proceeded to fix it. Once he was done, I went down stairs and turned the ac on and it blew very cold. Before it would be lukewarm at 10:00. Now it was staying very cool. When the house heats up inside, the circulating air still keeps it enjoyable.
Afterwards, he suggested I call them back in the fall, when it was a lot cooler, to do some regular maintenance that was not needed this time and he suggested some work that could be done.
The whole time he was with me, he was explaining how the AC worked and what to check for. I received a very good education on AC that I had not considered before. Would I use IDeal Air Services again. You betcha" There was nothing he did that I did not approve of.
