Company strung me along for three weeks and then decided they did not want to do the work. I needed a survey for a fence and to replace a deck on my house in Pasadena. City requires a permit and a survey is required to get the permit.
Surveyor went by the property at least twice fairly promptly but due to city contractors doing a lift station project adjacent to the West side of my property, he said he did not have access to do the survey. I talked to the city engineer for the project to make sure the surveyor would have access, but the surveyor then decided he did not want and quot;the liabilityand quot; of dealing with the city in case there was a dispute. City engineer said there was no problem and didn't understand why the survey couldn't be done.
All this info. was relayed via the receptionist so even a simple question was not answered in 48 hours. His solution at one point was for me to wait 2 months until the project completed but then he evidently changed his mind due to the perceived liability issue . Since I could not talk to the surveyor directly to fix the problem, I had no choice but to go with someone else.
His receptionist also relayed that he did not want to do surveys for fence work because of past experience of neighbors fence disputes.
Price was very good compared to other quotes.
