Originally just had Justin out to get a quote to replace a completely broken HVAC unit for my media room but the quote was so good I ended up getting one for all 3 of my aging units. In 24 hours I had brand new heating and air units and new duct work in my attic! The crew was incredibly efficient and very clean. You'd never be able to tell they were even in the house. Highly recommended!

It went great. John diagnosed the problem quickly and advised us to our options. John was very transparent and honest with the information and helped us make the right repair decision. He was also kind, conscientious and efficient. We will definitely call Spencer (and ask for John) again!

Quote was competitive. Installation was disappointing though and someone needed to come out a few days later to rectify problems and ensure the system was in working order. Still no warranty documentation has been passed over despite two requests. I liked the salesman very much but the follow thru afterwards has been disappointing. I do appreciate the technician, David, who finally came out to work out all the kinks. Very knowledgeable.

Excellent, Scott was prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. He got the system check done and did troubleshoot the noise which we thought was the HVAC system but was not. Spencer has always sent great service people to our house and Scott has carried on that tradition. As a company Spencer has never failed us in over 20 years!

I have been a customer of Spencer Air for many years. When I decided to replace my AC units, they were my first choice. My experience was great! Justin provided an itemized quote that included everything I needed for the new installation. He answered all my questions and worked with me on scheduling the install. I was able to get the brand I wanted (Trane) at a very good price. Oscar and his crew protected all the work areas and did a great job with the installation. I am 100% satisfied with the work. I would recommend Spencer Air if you need service or work done to your HVAC systems. I have had a great experience with their AC technician David and I know he will do a good job maintaining my new system.

Justin was the model of a professional. He was thorough, fair, responsive and had incredible attention to detail. Didn’t over or under sell. Very very happy with the new HVAC system - took three units down to two.

Found some metal tape/trash in the blower fan on the inside unit causing it to become unbalanced. Scott noted our filter was a 3 month and he said we should check every time we get a bill. I was buying a $25 dollar filter which was actually restricting flow. Use a cheaper (less restriction) filter, check frequently no more than 3 weeks and enjoy efficient AC and a lower power bills. Anyway we are really happy with Spencer Air, Scott, Justin and their whole team.

We had developed a freon leak in our AC system in November of 2017. It needed to be troubleshot which would require a few pounds of R22 to get started on finding the leak. If we found the leak we may have to dig up our walkway to get to it since the last ground shift in Irving raised the house about 6 inches. If we found and fixed the leak it would need 13 pounds of R22 which is REALLY expensive. So we were looking at maybe $3k to fix it including the digging, plus our drip pan drains were reverse pitched; alot more needed to be done. We invited three of the top Angie's List HVAC vendors in the area by for quotes. They were all great and we felt that any one of them could have kicked butt and we would be good for another 15 years. Justin Shelhorse from Spencer AC and Heat stood out for several reasons. He showed up the same day we called him, almost immediately in fact. He came highly recommend by our neighbor Kim Nwachukwu from Ebby Halliday and they do a lot of work together. He accomplished a full inspection of the home, examined our existing circa 2006 13 SEER, R22 system and provided a proposal to replace vs repair that was closer to the repair prices we had gotten than the new system installs we had received. I had checked a local supply house we use at work for the street prices for 5 ton 16 SEER American Standard, Trane and Carrier and the markup varied widely. The system we accepted is a Carrier Infinity 5 ton 19 SEER multi stage variable speed condenser, variable speed gas furnace with a wifi control panel thermostat. The outside unit is the same size as the 13 SEER we replaced and is VERY QUIET. Amazingly, ridiculously quiet. We also asked Justin to install a Reme Halo air purifier. We have 4 dogs, 2 humans with continuous allergies, including 1 with COPD in the home, so air conditioning to us also means removal of airborne mold colonies, wierd odors, dead skin, animal dander, VOC's, bacteria, viruses, dust, particles, chemicals, etc.. Check it the Reme Halo online - we've had it running for three days now and are going to do the air quality test next week. All good so far. They replaced the old ducts out about 10 feet using flex ducts and secured them so I can now move around my attic space. Before I had to access the filter in our upstairs loft space, then if I needed to go to the front side of our attic I had to go into the garage and climb up that way. So Chris and Eddie our HVAC Techs really helped us out by reorganizing our attic space to make it accessible - I didn't ask them to do this. They did a great job; professional, wore protective booties, put down floor protection and overall made us feel confident that they had a clue about what they were doing. The job was scheduled 2 days after our quote; they showed up on time and were done in 12 hours flat - broom clean. We love the new system and after being quoted by three other top Angies List vendors, feel like we got a super efficient system installed for a fair price on our timeline. We appreciate Angie's List and everyone's feedback on the companies, plus we appreciate the companies that we called who came out and gave us their best quote. It made it easier to make a right decision and that's what it is all about.
