Description of Work: They came out on a Sunday, located the problem and weren't able to do the work as it was the city's problem. They did recommend installing an access to the line from the house to the street that will allow for better access for future work that may be needed. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.

+ -1 moreABOUT 5 P.M. ONE DAY, AFTER DOING SEVERAL LOADS OF WASH, I SUDDENLY HAD WATER SPILLING OUT FROM THE DRAIN LINE, AND MY TOILET ALMOST OVERFLOWED. BOTH THE BATH AND W/D CLOSET ARE IN A HALLWAY WITH A HARDWOOD FLOOR, SO IT COULD HAVE BEEN AN EXPENSIVE DISASTER. AFTER SEVERAL CALLS TO OTHER PLUMBERS WHO SAID THEY COULDN'T COME FOR DAYS, I CALLED ROTO ROOTER AND THEY WERE THERE WITHIN AN HOUR. BY THIS TIME IT WAS DARK, BUT THE SERVICEMAN COMPLETED THE WORK ANYWAY, TAKING OVER AN HOUR TO BE SURE THE DRAIN LINE WAS COMPLETELY CLEARED. TREE ROOTS WERE THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. BECAUSE THE TOP OF THE ACCESS TO THE DRAIN HAD RUSTED SHUT, SERVICEMAN HAD TO SAW IT OFF TO GAIN ACCESS, BUT HE ACCEPTED THAT AS BEING PART OF THE JOB. HE WAS VERY COURTEOUS, AND EXPLAINED EXACTLY WHY I HAD THE PROBLEM. IT TURNS OUT MY STREET IS NOTORIOUS FOR TREE ROOT BLOCKAGE IN THE DRAIN LINES, SO HE WAS VERY SURPRISED I HAD NEVER HAD PROBLEMS BEFORE! I HAVE HAD NO TROUBLE SINCE.

THIRTY MINUTES LATER, THEY CALLED AND SAID THEY WOULD BE OUT IN 20 MINUTES. TWENTY MINUTES LATER, HE ARRIVED, EVALUATED THE PROBLEM, FIXED IT, COLLECTED HIS MONEY, AND LEFT, ALL WITHIN 2 HOURS' TOTAL. VERY PROFESSIONAL. SURPRISING FOR A BIG, NATIONAL COMPANY. THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE, TOO, CONSIDERING ALL THE ABOVE WORK HE DID.
Description of Work: AFTER THE EVALUATION, THE TECHNICIAN AGREED WITH MY ASSESSMENT, THAT THE LINE FROM THE HOUSE TO THE MAIN SEWER WAS CLOGGED. HE ''ROOTED'' IT OUT IN BOTH DIRECTIONS (TO THE HOUSE, AND TOWARD THE MAIN SEWER--PREVIOUS PLACES HAVE ONLY DONE IT TOWARD THE HOUSE), FOUND A LARGE CLOG UNDER THE HOUSE (VERY RARE, ACCORDING TO HIM), REMOVED IT, CHECKED THE FUNCTION OF THE DRAINS AFTERWARD, AND GAVE A 90-DAY GUARANTEE AGAINST RECURRENCE.
