Excellent work by the plumbers. They never took a break. The replacement of the hot water heater took about four hours. Everything was cleaned up like they were never there. Here's the real issue: The week before the install, the owner came by and looked at our old water heater. He said he had an emergency plumbing appointment and would have someone call us with a quote later. When we received the quote it was for "everything". Two weeks after the water heater installation, we receive a bill from an electrical company for $195 to install a 220-volt wall plug. We didn't know the electrician. We weren't advised there would be a bill from them. We never received an estimate. We didn't approve the electrical work.

I am very happy with Strain Plumbing! I purchased the "deal" on Monday, got an email to call to set up appt. They came out within 2 hours of my call! Alex was very professional, went right to work to fix the bathroom sink leak. He explained what caused the leak. He made sure it was not leaking before he left. I would SO use them again!!

It went real well. They came out the same morning I called. It worked out fine.

The plumbers arrived right on time. Very polite and helpful. They repaired the pipes and insulated them for me also. Have already recommended them to several of my friends and neighbors.

The plumber showed up a little late but I was called 30 minutes before the appt. to let me know. Work was done quickly.

Wonderful experience. Martha was extremely helpful ensuring I purchased the correct production. On the day of the appointment, Tori was very helpful calling to confirm the crew's scheduled time to arrive. Jeremy and Sergio were prompt, professional and helpful during the installation and clean up.

Strain Plumbing installed a new 40gal gas water heater and got us up to code, and removed the 15 year old one. Our water heater sits in an inside hallway closet next to our A/C unit, and it's a tight fit. In total, we got a bid from 3 plumbing companies, including Strain, and decided to go with them since they offered the best price (almost $300 less than the next bid). The installers, Alex and Jeremiah, were friendly and knowledgeable. We were very pleased that they had no trouble removing the old water heater from the tight-fit closet (since the other companies we got bids from mentioned we would have to either A) call an A/C company to move our furnace/AC unit over half a foot or B) take the door frame off the closet in order to get the old water heater out and new one in). They got us up to code which included installing drip pan and tying it into AC unit drain pipe, installed new cold and hot water valves, gas supply shut off valve, and flue. We passed inspection 3/02 with no issues. Overall, we were very pleased with their service and price, and will definitely use them again in the future!

Two people typically come out. They are courteous and on time. They have always done excellent work. I would use them again in the future and I have referred them to my kids.

They did and excellent job; but it was expensive as expected!

-Contacted them for a 1pm appointment and came right on time. -Two guys came in, showed them where the toilets were. Asked them how long, they said 20-30 min per toilet if they had the materials. -First toilet, replaced a leaking line and replace bolts and gasket within 30 mins. -Second toilet, was just replacing bolts and gasket and fixed the handles within 30 mins. -Materials came out to about $45 -Labor cost $75 through Angie's list at 25 percent off. I would use them again because of the quality of the job and quickness.

They provided good service. There were no issues when they were here. They were relatively quick on the job. They were friendly and very professional.

Arrived on time, had the parts required with him, and fixed the faucet very professionally.

You came at the time specified. Checked out the problem. Dug a hole to measure the existing water pipe for a special shut off valve to be installed in the Spring. You purchased a new faucet. You replaced the faucet, turned the water off using the old shut off valve (that will be replaced next time). You also covered the water pipe with thick foam insulation to ready it for winter. The team was very knowledgeable, efficient and very personable. Thank you. I will definitely call on you for future plumbing needs.

Great service--on time, professional & polite. $75 for 1 hour plumbing for Angie's Big Deal was $60 off their regular hourly rate. A good deal & a good experience. The cartridge cost $75 for a total of $150. It would be good if Angie's List would say what phone number they would be calling me on to set the appointment in the email that Angie's List sent to me. I wasn't sure if they had the right number so I called Strain plumbing and made the appt. directly.

Came out within a day. Notified me when they were on their way which was within the time they were scheduled. Very good work and finished quickly. And cleaned up afterward. The only issue was that they charged a higher rate than originally quoted on the phone but sent me a reimbursement when i called back.

They fixed 2 outside water connections to the house that were leaking, one upstairs sink that wouldn't drain, checked out the condensation line from the attic, and replaced the kitchen disposal with one we purchased separately. Awesome job! I would definitely call them again.

I had a leak in a newly installed toilet. Plumber replaced the flex coil which was broken..cost $12.00...Additionally, asked if there was anything else he could do and changed out a faucet. Came with a helper - worked quickly and efficiently..was polite..would definitely use again.

This took about 2 hours which included 30 minutes to go to Home Depot for parts. When calling and discussing the appointment I was explained this could be a flange and I understood what the process might be to fix the toilet. There were two service techs, one was training the newer plumber. Once the work became more involved the master plumber took over and finished the work. I found them to be knowledgeable, they cleaned up and didn't leave a mess. They were personable and completed the job in 2 hours.

My housekeeper alerted me water was leaking from my pedestal sink on to new floors that were just put down. As she hurried to get towels I called Strain Plumbing. I have used them before and had excellent service. I was trying to explain to a very nice young lady who answered the phone what was going on. I don't know what all the coils/pipes and things are called that are going into the wall and the things that are exposed so I wasn't explaining very well so she put a lady named Martha on the phone, I started trying to explain and she knew exactly what I was talking about! The best part they were able to send someone very shortly. 2 nice, polite, and professional young men showed up, took a look, and knew exactly what needed to be done and went right to work. They change some parts out, made some repairs, and fixed it in a very timely fashion and no mess. They were great! Thank you so much!

Plumber was 30' late for a 5 pm appt and no one called to alert us. We thought they were a no-show and were getting ready to leave. The office doesn't answer after 5 pm. I asked for the other hose bib handle to be replaced, but they were unable to get it off. I had no luck before either but thought a plumber should be able to do it. It was 5:50 pm, so maybe it was too late to give much attention to it. I didn't notice until 9 days later that the lawn sprinkler system wasn't working properly, only a small trickle from the heads. After I located the main water supply valve, I discovered the plumber had failed to open the valve completely after shutting it off for the repair.. After I turned it on fully, the system worked fine. I called Sprain and complained about the poor service and my lawn's being w/o water for 10 days. Martha Sprain was not at all concerned and refused my request for a partial refund of the service charge. Poor plumbing service followed by even worse customer service! AVOID business with this unprofessional company. I certainly will. Gene Bricker

Jeremy and Serge from Strain Plumbing did a good job fixing an improperly-installed water heater (performed by a different vendor a year ago). Upon selling our house, the Home Inspection identified several deficiencies in the installation of the hot water tank (no exterior drain line, upward sloping emergency relief drain line, etc.). Strain Plumbing drained the unit, turned it 180 degrees, punched a drain line through the garage wall and out to the driveway, plus fixed the emergency relief valve issue. They also fixed a leaking faucet in the backyard (requiring a blow torch, and expertise, to loosen the old faucet). I was impressed with Strain Plumbing and would recommend them.

Strain Plumbing was great! They were honest and very communicative. There was some initial confusion over the price, as we were given one estimate over the phone and a higher estimate in person. But when I asked about it, they determined that the difference was due to a communication error in their office. They were raising prices on our particular service, but not everyone in the office had been told that. The original (lower) estimate was honored. I was very impressed by their commitment to honesty and integrity. The work was efficiently and expertly performed, with good communication throughout the job. We'd definitely use Strain again.

Called Strain plumbing about a gas leak. Original estimate 650.82. First invoice 800.82 Invoice says repaired gas leak, pressure held for 20 minutes. Then a call, sorry we didn't fix it right. Still leaking. Second Invoice 568.81 Total paid 1369.63 On the good side, they were friendly on the phone, and finally fixed the leak. Bad side is 100.00 per hour, they take as long as they want. I would not use them again unless I got a firm price up front. Good luck..
