Description of Work: Advanced Air gave us an estimate for complete furnace & A/C replacement. They replaced all the units, did some minor repair work on vents and A/C condensation drainage and finished it all in less than one day!!!! They did not exceed their estimate, they did not add in any additional charges!! After 10 days of operation, there has been no problems. We have used Adv. Air for years for maintenance and have been very pleased.

Description of Work: Tom and Bob showed up at the schedule time and performed a maintenance on the two units at my home. One of the units had to be filled with 3lbs of freon and was told of a leak on the unit.

Description of Work: One of the A/C units stopped cooling. Advanced Air came out and cleaned and checked the system. Low refrigerant turned out to be the cause of the problem and this was quickly fixed.

 + -1 moreThe appointment was made over the phone. It was answered promptly and politely. Bob showed up at the scheduled time and was friendly, polite, and professional. Also, he not only worked quickly but also patiently and courteously answered several questions I had for him. My 2 a/c units are running more efficiently as a result of the service. Overall, I'm very satisfied with Advanced Air and would highly recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Advanced Air Conditioning Service provided an annual preventive maintenance visit. Outside units were cleaned and one was serviced w/freon. Forced air units in attic were inspected, drains cleared, and some ducting was re-taped.

 + -1 moreWe were very happy with their entire performance. Tom is the owner, an absolute expert in this business He is very professional, knowledgeable and patiently answered all our questions. He is a "people" person. I will recommend him to all my friends.
Description of Work: I called them to just perform routine maintenance on our central AC unit based on Angie list reports. The same day I made the appointment, by coincidence, my outside compressor stopped working. I called their office that night to get an appointment for the next day, left message. Carol called promptly the next morning and arranged for a rep to come by by 11am. Researching the Internet that night to find causes I learned that a burned out capacitor could be the culprit. Early next morning I bought the part and installed myself and the unit started working. Shortly after, Tom arrived on time, so he checked my repair and approved. I let him perform the routine maintenance anyway. We also asked advice on improving our air flow in our bedroom turned office. He suggested several remedies, we agreed on one and made another appointment. The second visit was on time, Tom brought another helper and all the work was performed efficiently. Happy to say we now have a cooler office.

 + -1 morePrompt and courteous service. Service individual worked quickly to diagnose problems and make repairs. Service man recommended additional repair and demonstrated the need for repair which was promptly authorized. Two previous companies repaired this homes' AC units 3 or more years ago and the homeowner was unhappy with their charges and with their performance. Using Angie's List for this service was a good idea!
Description of Work: Replaced starter cap for downstairs AC compressor. Checked and replaced downstairs AC condenser unit fan. Checked final performance of both downstairs and upstairs AC units.

Description of Work: Responded to complaint of water leaking from attic a/c unit down through ceiling. In less than 15 minutes, Bob had problem identified and repaired. Made double sure any residual water overspray from cleaning drain didn't oversplash in bathroom! And, because we actually "had him" for the minimum of 30 minutes for a base price, he offered to do maintenance work on outdoor units until his time was concluded! He checked freon levels and motor/fans.

 + -1 moreOn a hot Friday night the main floor AC went out. I started calling around at 10:30PM for a Saturday call. Tom Wilson returned my call that night, and was out the next day to diagnose the problem. Unfortunately for me, the parts would have to wait until Monday. First thing Monday, Tom replaced the rather expensive motor and the cost was fair for considering two trips were necessary. I'll use them again and talk to them about replacing my aging systems during the off season.

 + -1 moreTom Wilson was very friendly and very professional. He could have easily sold us on the notion of replacing our A/C (that was what we were expecting to hear). He did not even hint at that being the solution to our issue. His honesty speaks for the integrity of his business. I would most definitely recommend this business and will certainly plan to call on Advanced for all of our heating & A/C needs.
Description of Work: My home has two units, one of which had stopped working. It was found the furnace fuse had blown, so I replaced it and cleaned wire on the outside. I mentioned the constant overflow drip we were seeing, so that was checked and found that a large splash shield was required. This was ordered on 5/31 and then installed on 6/8. The first visit was $90.41; the cost for installation of the splash shield was $85 (a service call)

FIRST TIME I USED THEM, I WAS GETTING A QUOTE FOR A NEW UNIT BECAUSE ANOTHER COMPANY HAD SAID THE COMPRESSOR WAS BAD. THEY IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZED THAT THE UNIT HAD A UNIQUE 'REVERSE' WIRING SCHEME, AND REPAIRED THE UNIT FOR $55.
