ADVANCED AIR CONDITIONING SERVICE

I called Advanced in the morning and an appt was set for the afternoon window. Bob called to say he was on his was...at the earliest part of the window! Bob was very professional, personable, and friendly. He is definitely very knowledgeable in his field. He explained everything to me very clearly. I had two coupons and he calculated which would save me the most money! The cost was very reasonable. I will definitely use Advanced in the future and recommend them to my friends and family.

Tom and his equally qualified worker Bob arrived at the scheduled time and started immediately removing the old system (Tom inside and Bob outside) which didn't take more than a half an hour or so, Bob had to remove a sprinkler head and seal it up (which he did) so the outside unit's concrete pad (which was larger than the old unit's) wouldn't interfere with the system. They worked separately, each doing there part (Tom explaining things as he went along), until they needed teamwork in snaking any wires or other lines to connect the units. Both Tom and Bob were efficient, respectful of my property, neat and extremely personable to have as contractor's. The units were up and running within, say 4 hours of starting the job (it was a little chilly at that time of year and especially without heat and the doors opened most of the time), so when they fired up the unit the heat felt nice and cozy and worked well. Tom showed me how to use and program the thermostat and put in some general settings, they cleaned up all the tools, old units, leftovers, packaging and whatnot, each had a well deserved cup of coffee and were on their way to another job. I forgot to mention that I also had a "Aprilaire filter system" installed as I have allergies and wanted a good filtration system, as it turns out right after the system was installed I had a terrible reaction to something in the air and had Tom come back over to check on things. I was ready to have all my duct work replaced (thinking I had a leak) but Tom recommended I try one add-on item first (AND I'M GLAD HE DID!!), a "BLUE TUBE UV LIGHT" that installs inside of the coil unit to kill any bacteria, mold or viruses and controls odors to boot, it also keeps the coil clean, reducing service on that component. It worked like a charm (or the allergens were out of the air shortly after install) because after, I had no issues and am very happy with it. A side note: my furniture which is dark and shows dust easily does not have to be dusted nearly as often as before this "Aprilaire filter system" was installed which is an added plus, and the filter doesn't have to be replaced for 1 to 2 years (depending on usage) at a cost as quoted from Tom of $45-50 which in the long run is a money saver, another plus! Overall I couldn't be happier with my choice of Advanced Air, their recommendations, equipment and with Tom and Bob doing the work, I highly (can't stress this enough!) recommend them! The reason I waited this long to write a review was, I wanted to also see how the A/C side of this unit performed and can say "Like A Charm", it's very efficient and at least in my mind, didn't "break the bank" on price either!

First time to use after dissatisfaction with another company we had been using for a couple of years. Owner came out promptly and after assessing the problem, spent alot of time talking to us, weighing pros and cons, and then reassured us that our choice ( though not the most expensive one) was reasonable. Did not try to oversell, but clearly articulated the problem and all options available. His partner and other employee came out the next morning, right on time, and replaced the coil. We are very pleased and will call again.

Outstanding service! My A/C died Friday afternoon with the temperature over 100 degrees. Bob responded in about 90 minutes and 30 minutes later the system was running and my house was cooling down. Very professional, honest, knowledgable, personable and punctual. I will definitely use Advanced Air again and recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Very impressed, he was very friendly, explained every thing he did in good detail, answering all our questions. He made recommendations that we felt were in our best instead as opposed to recommendations that would make him more money. He fixed our issue with a very economic solution and for the first time in a long time we feel like our ac is actually ruining good. Will defiantly use him for all our ac needs from now one.

This company has amazing service. They always exceed our expectations and have set the bar very high for any other in the industry to even try to compete with. You will get a great sense of their honest and caring character immediately upon meeting any member of their team.We have used them for many things over the years, from simple annual service to our recent new system need. In this current case, our A/C unit went out the day before leaving on vacation. I panicked at the thought of leaving our house sitter and animals with no A/C in 95+ heat. They were there to help in no time and when we realized we needed a whole new system, I was so worried. I should not have. They have proven time and again I need not worry. In this case they had the new system nearly installed as we left for the airport. Thank You so much Tom, Bob and Fred. Many have done there best to give AC guys a bad rap......You however, have set a new standard far above the rest.

When I drove up to meet them, they were already at work removing the defective motor. Saved me time

The guy’s name is Tom Wilson and I guess he’s the owner or something like that. Everything worked out great. There’s one thing that I do recall is that, I looked up some information on Angie’s list and somebody had put down in a review about him that they weren’t happy with him. So I had read that and I had a discussion with him briefly, and I guess people get in a bad mood if they don’t get exactly what they want, they list things that they really shouldn’t list because they’re emotionally upset about something. This guy to me is very professional and very courteous. He did an excellent job and he did exactly what he said he would, and told me exactly what it would cost me upfront because he knew what the problem was. He was in and out of here within thirty five to forty minutes. So I couldn’t have asked for a better guy to come and help me out with this problem. Everything is in good shape. He did exactly what he said he would. He was prompt and very efficient in getting in and out. What he did was very efficient and he showed up when he said he was going to show up. He told me in advance what it was and what it was going to cost. He just did it and I paid him, and he left from here. I will use his services again in the future.

Our regular Heating and Air Conditioning company came out to give us a fall checkup and found a cracked furnace blower motor and wanted $800 dollars to replace. I called Advanced Air, they promptly and politely answered and told me a technician would call back to discuss my situation. They then called back and I discussed the situation with them and they gave an estimate of $400 to fix. They came out two days later as promised w/ the correct part and replaced the blower motor for the quoted price. They were polite and I felt they honestly answered my questions. I will definitely use them in the future.

I was very pleased about getting such fast service because the temperature was 100+ degrees. The owner told me that they take care of people who don't have any A/C first and then use a "triage" process to prioritize other customers based on special needs, etc. I thought this process of prioritizing by "need" is very clever and appropriate. e.g., an elderly person or household with a newborn that doesn't have any A/C really does need help before someone who has limited or one of their two units isn't working.

Everything about what they did was Phenomenal! They worked with me to replace both my units in phases to accommodate my needs and budget. The owner is actively involved with every installation. I can understand why the quality is so high. They only did what I needed, not what all the other contractors were trying to sell me. They will only schedule what they can complete. So when they tell you they can't schedule a particular day, it is because they are making another customer happy. I have recommended them to other people and will have them work on my units again.

Exceptional Service !!! Just The BEST! I was asked to assist a Senior couple who had engaged an AC service company to fix their heat pump. (the system wasn't cooling).The couple are on a tight budget and have health issues. My goal was to help them repair the system. A service company had been on-site previously and decided the system was too old to get parts and would probably need to be replaced. I called a second company who showed up and delivered the same result. Given the situation we decided to replace the system. I called Advanced AC Service for a quote on a new system.Tom (The owner of Advanced AC) called within an hour and arrived on-site as promised. (within 2 hours of my original call) So Advanced AC Service had a new heat pump system pretty much pre-sold. All Tom had to do was quote it. Now the amazing part. Tom asked why I wanted to replace the system. I related the comments from the previous 2 companies IE: Too old to get parts and couldn't be fixed. Tom said "I can fix this system, and if I don't you can apply the service cost to a new unit. Bottom line, 2 hours later the system was running just fine! Obviously everyone was ecstatic, Tom, Thanks so much for your your help and a job well done. .

Trustworthy, competent, and available - that is what I wanted and that is what I felt I got. They were very responsive in setting up the appointment in a professional manner. They fixed a leak in our bigger downstairs compresser unit and filled it up with freon (where most of the money was spent). Tom indicated it should last at least a few more years which was nice to hear. 2 years ago another organization tried to get us to buy a new system from them (at that point the unit was only 9 years old). We would have paid Advanced Air much more had they said we really needed a new one, so I appreciate them just fixing it for now and looking forward to using it a few more years. They also made a custom metal box that we asked them to do, to cover where our pipes went into the house. Very pleasant and reliable.

They were here when they said they would. They checked the air-conditioner and were up in the attic. It turned out that my Freon was a little low. They caulked it off, capped it off, and did an excellent job at that. They really spent some time here and were very reasonable. There were two people that came out. I think one of them was an apprentice. The other person went through the steps of checking out the system and explained things as he was going along. I was impressed by the way he did his work. They were very professional and very reasonably priced. It did not hurt that much. I was very pleased with their service. I have their little magnet tagged on my refrigerator right now. I would definitely recommend them.

I have been using Advanced Air for about 35 years. I did have to use another company once because of a peculiar situation at the time. That really convinced me that Advanced Air was superior in all ways. AA's work has been thorough and reliable and they stand by the work that they do. I never had a problem they couldn't take care of. When they say their work is complete --- it is complete. No add-ons and always a fair price and full satisfaction. The company was originally founded by Lewis Wilson and is now in the hands of his son Tommy. I've known both for all these years since Boy Scout days and wouldn't trust my A/C and Heating to anyone else.

I received a call from the the technician Bob and for once he was kind enough to realize the information I shared with him over the phone was valid info on the items I had trouble shot before he arrived. He did not treat me as someone who was clueless about the HVAC system. He noticed a timer on the system that was not required and removed it then he ran a check on the motor capacitor and relayed the info to me over the phone that it was at 70% which in year or so would cause the motor to run hotter and need a costly replacement but instead he offered to fix it now for just the cost of the part. He had the part for $35 bucks and just used the call out charge instead of hitting me with another labor charge to install the part. With my wife being home but BOB staying in communication with me on the phone they were in and out in less than 2 hours. They also changed the batteries in my digital thermostat and cleaned all connections and tested for accuracy. The checking of the unit, the removal of the secondary delay timer (Which was never needed) the updating of batteries and cleaning and testing the Thermostat and the installation of the new capacitor was all done under the call out charge which by the way I called that morning and they came out that afternoon. Can you get better service. "I DON"T THINK SO" I am very pleased. Thanks Mark

They have done some trouble shooting for us as well. They have done an excellent job and we have been using them for the past 3 years.

I called at 8am to see if someone could come out today to repair my upstairs a/c. They offered to send someone out right away but I couldn't get back to the house that quickly so the appointment was made for between 9 and noon. The serviceman (Tom) arrived by 10:30 and quickly identified a blown fuse which was traced back to a shorted out wire. He fixed the problem and also refilled the freon which was low. He seemed knowledgeable and friendly. The charge was reasonable. I'd be happy to call this company again.

Called early that morning on a very hot day, knew ahead what the problem was. Hecame right when he said would but he gave us a 4 hour window so that was easy to hit. Was good but we think the pricing was a little high. You wonder if A/C service go up when it gets over 90 degrees.

My air conditioner wasn't cooling. My old a/c repair company took 2 days to come out and then couldn't tell me what the problem really was. They just wanted me to pay for another "dye job" so they could find the leak. And this was while my wife and I were staying in a motel because it was too hot at home. After firing my old a/c repair company I looked on Angie's list for a good, nearby a/c repair company. I found Advanced Air listed and called them. Tom came out the same day I called and was able to quickly find the problem with my air conditioner. He was able to explain to me what the problem was and various ways to solve it. I chose to replace the outside unit completely. Tom and Bob came back the next day to do the job. Tom and Bob were very easy to work with and explained what they were doing in a way I could understand. They worked quickly and professionally, and left the work area very clean.

Downstairs unit was not functioning. Advanced Air ran new low-voltage wire to non-functioning unit and checked and serviced both units. Twelve days later on a Saturday morning we noticed water coming out of upstairs unit and staining wall below. Advanced Air came out that same Saturday just a few hours after we called them and corrected situation. Both times they responded to urgency of situations and arrived when they said they would, Price was very reasonable.
