Brian and his crew did a great job. They arrived on time, was friendly and got straight to work. They laid out carpet protectors and worked hard to keep my home clean and damage free. Brian was informative about the process and gave me a great final walk-through once the job was complete. It only took about 3 hours to replace the entire system and have me back up and running. I worked with Adam throughout the process who provided me with a very accurate quote. Adam was not pushy, but kept me informed. This was a great experience and I am happy with my high quality product.

The price was about average. Everything that we've had done has been top quality. They're real good. The technicians are so far, so good. Some of them go into detail.

They did come and they came twice. They came the year before and then they told me that nothing can be done to the air conditioner. So the following years which would be this past August and I called them, it probably was miscommunication. I was away and I was coming back with my elderly mom so needed that air conditioner to be in. So I called them and told them to put the air conditioner in. One of the things that I did not like was that they probably put the cheapest air conditioner in there possible. He didn’t call back and I should have asked, from the first initial visit I thought he would put in at least a mediocre and he didn’t explain to me that my air conditioner had a pump and the pump was removed and the pump was a lot cheaper for gas than using electrical gas. He just put a regular one in there so I’m not happy with them and I came back too late to do anything about that. I chose them because my next door neighbor used them. I think that on the scale of communicating to me, being clear as to ok, you’re out of town I wanna go through this with you to make sure that you realize that ABC things are happening and not happening and this is what I’m putting in, I would say that’s an F. They responded well and they put a concrete slob in was quality work. It was the miscommunication problem. He eased my burden of coming and it was really hot here and I was coming home my mother. He was able to work with my schedule.

I was very impressed. All for less then I expected and quicker then I expected. 4 months later and I still have no problems. The man was professional, on time, polite, clean, took his shoes off before he entered the house. All the things you would like them to do before he entered the house.

We noticed our 2nd floor AC was not cooling as it should be. We set the thermostat to 75 and the ac could only bring it down to 78 so we called Choice Home Warranty and they sent their technician who didn't fix the problem. We called Choice Home Warranty again and said we were prepared to pay another technician to have a second opinion. The second contractor wasn't able to fix our ac, in fact, our fan started blowing the opposite way after these two technicians started messing with our ac system. They reported that our compressor/condenser needed to be replaced. Our lousy home warranty company Choice, refused to honor our warranty saying it was due to lack of maintenance which was just an excuse for them not to pay. Now take note, our ac was working, albeit just not as it should be before these supposed "technicians" touched them. This time, we couldn't use it anymore because the fan was blowing the wrong way. We've had good experience with Kingwood Air Solutions because we've dealt with them in the past. I called yesterday and they sent Taylor today and he said the other guys connected the wiring for the capacitor wrong that's why our fan was blowing the other way and he replaced both the capacitor and start kit and voila we now have cool air again on our 2nd floor without having to but a new compressor/condenser. It did cost us $280 but that is way better than buying a new compressor/condenser. Thank you Kingwood Air Solutions, You guys rock!

The short of it:
============
They failed to correct a problem on a prior visit. Then they failed to bring the correct parts for the job. Then they inflated the price of a home warranty repair.
The long of it:
============
I had the guy out to fix a popping noise coming from the AC drain line to my sink. I had researched the problem and found it was usually caused by air pressure from the AC unit blowing bubbles in the sink's P-Trap. Kingwood's tech said that that was the case. He examined a number of potential fixes and removed a cap on one of the high water air relief valve. He said if it still caused a problem to try installing a cap otherwise my solution was the accepted way to solve the problem.
The problem came back and I called my home warranty company and they sent Kingwood Air back out. The tech described the problem to the warranty company as being "normal". Then he offered to add the missing P-trap for $145. I asked him why it was so expensive, he said he had to drive to get the $3 part. LOL. I told them when I placed the call that it was the P-trap issue. Why didn't he bring one? He never looked at the installation in the sink drain. And why does it cost $135 to drive 0.9 miles to Home Depot?

They were here, the gentleman that came out here was very professional. The fee was part of a coverage. They are very professional and they fixed it right away and not more than they said they would charge.

I could not be more impressed with Kingwood Air. They saved me from making a $5,000 mistake based on the recommendation of a different HVAC, 'A' rated contractor. Another company said my downstairs unit had a significant leak and to fill it would take 3-6 lbs of freon at $95/lb. The other company technician went on to recommend replacing my unit for $5,000.
When Kingwood Air came out, Mikey told me the unit only holds 4 lbs of Freon @$60 and my unit was only 1/2 lb down.
Mikey helped me avoid a fraudulent and dihonest contractor and I couldn't be happier with their prompt, honest and professional service.

Outside ac unit wasn't coming on at all. Called for service at 8 am and technician was here by 9:30 am. I was pleased that the tech had a fan motor with him and he had it up and running quickly. Great service!
