Vortex Plumbing

I previously had estimates to re-route system from three companies stating the system was incorrectly installed and would have continuing problems. The estimate to repair it was around $ 5,000. Mike thoroughly inspected the system and determined it was correctly installed and there are no problems with it. It had a minor obstruction that had cleared itself. He gave me a video of the system and explained it to me. Since Mike is both an engineer and master plumber, I have total confidence in his opinion. I highly recommend him and will use Vortex again.

Since home I was purchasing was built in 1977, my relator strongly suggested we get a plumbing inspection to make sure the galvanized pipes were still in working condition. Mike was great! My husband had to work during the inspection, so I was there with Mike going over everything. He spoke with me as an equal, something that I noticed not all of the home inspectors did. It seemed like most preferred to speak with my husband. He also put a camera down one of the toilets. He explained all of his findings to me and also emailed me a report. Also, a few weeks ago we had a drainage issue and he walked us through what to check so we would know if it was our problem or if the city was responsible. It's nice to have someone you can trust and isn't just trying to make money off of you.

Mike and his assistant, Joe, contacted me a couple of hours before the scheduled service call to confirm our appointment.  It worked out to where they actually started ahead of schedule.  From the minute I met Mike, I felt that I had made a good choice in selecting Vortex for this job.  His knowledge, professionalism and high-end test equipment created a very comfortable work environment.  He explained every step of the process and was very thorough with his testing.  Joe was equally as knowledgeable, and he performed every task quickly and efficiently.

Mike, the owner, was very helpful when I needed to find a plumbing contractor to do an under slab drainage replacement. He explained to me alot of useful information about the problems and potential solution for the drainage problem we were having and was willing to provide me with a second opinion and a repair estimate.  I did not use his company to do the repair,  but I did appreciate the information and his time and helpfulness.

Quality of work was outstanding with great explanations of all processes and clear and punctual reports.

Mike Williams is the owner-operator. He did a great job. He was very thorough and gave good advice. His guys are really professional and nice. They were very conscientious not to make a mess and they would take their shoes off. We had a couple of questions since the work was done and he comes out to the house for that on short notice and doesn’t charge for questions and that kind of things. They were very knowledgeable and provided an array of options. I would use him again in the future if necessary.

Mike was great. He had me watch while the camera was going through the pipes and he showed me how the hydrostatic test proved there were breaks. He kept trying to find ways to do fewer tests to save me money. If we had gone through with the purchase, I would definitely have hired him to do the repairs.
