Tommy's crew did a great job and also did a great clean-up job and I was very pleased. I would definitely hire them again.

They came and discussed the job and gave a quote. They did exactly what they said they would do. including cutting some large branches over my roof all the way off, to the truck of the tree, as requested. The job looks really good. and I will have them back again when needed. I usually trim my own trees around my 1-1/2 story house, but couldn't figure out how to safely get to these high limbs, nor get the limbs growing over my roof 30+ feet down without damage to my roof. Great! Chris and his crew were prompt and did a great job of trimming our trees and cleaning up. This is the third time we have used Tommy's Tree Service and will definitely use them again.

Arrived on time. Job was done quickly and cleanly by Tommy and his crew. Yard was cleaned up with no debris left over. Price was a bit more than others, but not overly out of line.

Chris came out on Saturday morning, right on time. We walked through what I wanted done and scheduled for the following Thursday. They were running just a little late Thursday morning but called to let me know beforehand. The guys got to work, and called me out at each stage to verify it was to my liking or if I wanted more done. They made helpful suggestions if I wanted to do something that would result in a "bad look" (i wanted to cut farther back from the side property line), but also would continue with my direction (even if it misshapes, I wanted to cut farther back from front sidewalk). They were professional, and cleaned everything up perfectly. The work was terrific, my wife was extremely pleased with all the natural light we have flowing through the front now. They are not cheapest bid, nor are they the most expensive. You definitely get what you pay for, and I'll gladly use them again when it comes time to clean up all the trees. Great job guys, we appreciated your hard work!

Chris and his crew were a pleasure to work with !! Our trees (and LOTS of them, over an acre), hadn't been cut or trimmed in over 8 years. Everything looks beautiful !! Now, you can actually see our house from the street !! Hire them........you won't be sorry !!

Although I was not at home when the work was done, I found that the work was completed according to my instructions. Chris was easy to work with & all was professionally done. Clean up & removal of debris was exceptional.

It's been about 3 weeks since I had the work done. I always like to wait about a month to write a review, just in case something pops up that I didn't notice right after. First, let me start out saying I've hired around 7 different services over the years, ranging from the family friend's service, to big name, to guys doing a neighbors yard, and offering a discount because they are already in the area. All of them had left things to be desired (from horrible experience, to I guess overall they did ok). So this time I decided to start on Angie's list, and get several quotes as we had a lot to do (been putting it off for several years because last couple guys we hired were horrible). We had 7 Trees cut down (Ranging from 10 year old to 40 + year old Oaks. We had around 9 stumps grinded (for all these trees, and some left over from a crappy job from a previous tree service a couple years ago). We had remainder of trees cleaned up and trimmed (including removing a huge branch from an Oak we kept, that I've been worried about falling and caving in my neighbors garage for years). I picked Tommy's because of the consistent reviews of them doing a good job, and especially the great clean up comments (which no other service I've had has done a good job On). Many reviews pretty much only knocked Tommy's on pricing, so I was expecting them to be quite a bit more (which ended up NOT being the case). I got 4 quotes for the work and Tommy's was the second lowest (not much higher than the lowest), and significantly lower cost than the other 2. They were much lower in comparison to previous services I had done for much easier work (smaller jobs) considering a work to cost ratio. Also, just for reference, Over the years I've asked others for a price estimate just to remove the large branch over my neighbors garage, and some straight out said they wouldn't do it, while others wanted almost what I paid Tommys for everything, just to do that branch (it was huge, and not easy to get to, and ran a good distance over the garage and there back yard). Right from the initial call, Tommy's was the most professional, and punctual. They were right on time when they arrive, extremely friendly, and offered input during the process, without the continous 'upsale' that the other guys tried to do. They were the only ones that pro actively offered to have there insurance company email us copies of documentation to show they were licensed and insured (and they got us a copy that evening). We scheduled to have the work done a couple days later, and they were right on time (on the dot, another thing no other service has provided in past). There entire crew was respectful, knowledgeable and professional. (No drinking beer behind the house, or leaving garbage, and were completely respectful and courteous to my wife while I was at work, which, unfortunately, and surprisingly, I can't say for many other crews I've dealt with in the past). The work was grade A++ (they even cleaned alot of pine needles and other stuff that wasn't related to their work off the top of my neighbors roof). They worked safely, and quickly. They leveled the areas perfectly, and spread the mulch nicely, left over from the trees. They DID ASK at quote time if we want to keep the fine cuttings for mulch, which we did, and didn't just assume or take it upon themselves to do this. They didn't leave any big chunks, it was actual mulch grade left over, not debris. No other service I've had previously has handled this anywhere close to this quality. To be honest, They just did everything right. I can rarely say I've had a service team meet all my expectations (which is lower than my wifes) and these guys exceeded both mine, and my wifes, by a descent margin. I rarely recommend someone to others, because of one thing or another, but anyone looking to have tree service done should use Tommys Tree service. There work and professionalism is well above anyone else. I'm not sure if it was the timing, workload, or season, compared to some other reviewers, but I didn't observe the high prices that others have mentioned, and in fact, they were lower than some, by a bit. That said, even if the other guys were lower, Just from the initial 1st impressions, I would have hired Tommys. And they maintained that 1st impression comfort and security throughout the entire process. Hand's down, I will use them again, and will actively recommend them to others. In this day and age, it is HARD to find a descent service company (in anything), let alone an outstanding one, and Tommys is OUTSTANDING. I'm glad I found this Gem on Angie's list. It is such a relief that I don't have to dread, or put off having tree service done, like I have for the last 20 years of living in this house. I'm sure some of you out there know exactly what I'm talking about, when hiring a service company to do something nowadays, your odds of having a bad experience is much greater than having a good one. As long as they don't do something drastic to change there current model and quality, Tommys Tree Service has a customer for life. Also, I'd like to call out Chris individually. He was the one we dealt with from quote to heading up the crew that did the work. My wife and I both want to thank him personally for making this entire experience so great, from beginning to end. Chris, you did the entire process perfectly, don't change a thing!

The work was done early March 2018. The crew showed up on time and did good job re-shaping and trimming 3 large mature oak trees. Also, re-shaped and trimmed good size Yaupon shrub, making it into attractive tree shape. They also cut off pecan tree limbs from neighbors yard that were hanging down over my yard. They did good cleanup after all was completed. Expensive job for me, but worth it!

A crew of 5 showed up as scheduled, and worked for two hours. At the end of that time all branches were hauled away or shredded, the street and sidewalk were swept and all was in order. Tommy came by as the job was ending and he discussed with me a plan to keep the tree healthy for years to come.

I asked for a bid on a live oak tree I had trimmed in 2016 and 2014 for $350. I needed a few branches trimmed out again, nothing major. I was given a bid of $650. Forget about it.

Chris came out and gave me price and set appointment to prune back tree. All went well. Showed up as expected with all equipment and personnel to do job. Communication was excellent and job was done as requested. Clean up was done and jobsite left in perfect order. Thank you Chris for your excellent work.

Tommy returned my voice mail the same day and we set a time to walk around campus and survey what needed to be done. I thought Tommy was knowledgeable and easy to work with. He took his time making notes on the scope of work and pointed out dead limbs over the playground that needed to be a priority for safety reasons. I also thought he did a good job of being careful with our budget by not recommending work that could wait. The written proposal arrived in about 24 hours and seem thorough. On the day scheduled to do the work he and his crew arrived on time and did a good job of completing everything on the proposal. Tommy stayed on the job site the whole day, but I believe he has more than one crew so that may not always be possible.

Excellent job! They co-ordinated two crews for the job and were efficiently done in one day. They stacked firewood near the house, moved all other downed trees to burn pits. They even did a good job stacking the burn pits. We've had major tree removal and trim work done before. No one else did nearly as good a job as Tommy's. I rarely write a review but I thought this needs one to share the good job Tommy's Tree Service did for us.

Tommy and his crew showed up on time with all their equipment and branch shredding truck and got to work! It took about 9 hours to do all 6 massive oak and pecan trees yet they powered through and were totally professional about the whole process. Tommy's knowledge of trees and contamination prevention was what sold us to use him. When our trees need to be trimmed again we know who we are calling!

Second time I used Tommy's in 3 years. Highest quality and attention to preventing damages to structures, bushes and grounds. Very professional. I had a very large some 30 year old water oak that needed to go because of foundation problems. Three very long branches extended over the roofs of house and garage, so I wanted to be confident in the crew I hired. They are not the cheapest but if you value a worry free (and insurance claim free) process, then the additional cost is well worth it. I have used three other companies in the past and always had problems, but not with Tommy's.

Tommy was friendly, and his crew performed excellent service. Tommy refused to complete the job until he confirmed that I was completely satisfied.

These guys were nice, polite, and fun to talk to. The owner noticed that one of our Palm trees was an owl and bat habitat, so he asked if it was alright to leave that one alone. We agreed, of course. They did a great job and even cleaned out my gutters for free! This was a great experience and cost several hundred dollars less than any other competitor. I also loved that they didn't attempt to upsell me like so many of their competitors!!! We will definitely be using them as our regular tree service in the future. Very satisfied. They do accept tips which they split among the crew members.

It was so easy and quick. The tree trimmers came in, trimmed the tree and cleaned up the yard. From the time of the estimate to the end of the job was about 2 days. And this was less than 2 weeks after Hurricaine Harvey!! One of our neighbors had two of his oaks trimmed by another company and the trees do not look as good. Some of my other neighbors have stopped to tell us that our tree looks "gorgeous". A terrific job, professional job! Thanks!!

It went very well. The people who work for this company are very nice, they listen, and they explain everything. If you need anything else done they will help you with that as well. I have been using this company for about 7 years now and I would highly recommend them to others.

Excellent: Tommy Aviles loves trees! I asked Tommy to prune the trees in my back yard due to overgrowth and branches growing through fencing. I was ready to cut down the trees which would have destroyed the look of my landscaping. Tommy recommended serious pruning so that I could keep the beauty of the back yard; he also recommended I plant a few more small shrubs. He even moved the swing to make it look better and fixed some of the loose slats. Also he and his crew cleaned up all of the leaves (already laying on the lawn before he arrived). Tommy's crew is the best and you can tell they are happy working as a team. Tommy personally answered my call on a Saturday and had the job done by the next Tuesday. He is top-notch.

Price – He was fair. I have used him before, this is my second time with him.
