While the results were severe, the yard is now open and ready for professional landscaping. They went beyond expectation when they cleaned up a bunch of ginger plants and a tree that was growing through my fence boards from my neighbor's yard. It saved my fence! The clean up was thorough and their work is professional. They took care to avoid a turtle garden in the middle of it all!

Tommy and crew were very responsive, professional, and were able to cut down the tree and remove all pieces within 20 minutes. They arrived with crew, equipment, and resources necessary to get the work done quickly and were able to meet my very quick timing needs. The workers promptly started the work in the front and back. They brought plenty of tools and ladders and trucks with trailers to haul off the tree debris. They did not damage any plants, fences or outside air conditioning units. The Red Oak trees looked so much better after they finished. The trimmers cleaned out dead branches and raised the canopy. The cleanup was very good. It was almost as it they had not been there as regards leaf and tree debris. I was very pleased with this contractor and would definitely use them again.

My wife was very pleased with the way they were careful of her other plants while doing the work. They did everything she wanted, and did a very good cleanup. They have the big chipper machine, and mulched all of the debris on site. I feel the price was a little steep for the man hours involved, but they did such a good job overall I still rated pricing as A., since satisfaction for the wife is worth a lot of money.

Tommy's trees quoted tree trimming, I think they were either very busy and didn't have time or thought they could get 2-3x going rate because of our Garden Oaks location. 1700 to trim a couple of big oaks is just plain crazy.

Price was 3x that of other bids I received for the same work. Tommy seemed very knowledgeable and I'm sure would have done a great job, but the price was way too high.

This is, by far, the absolute BEST tree service I have ever used !!! Tommy gave a professional appraisal of the work that needed to be done. He addressed my requests, made helpful suggestions which I chose to do, and pointed out problem areas and fixed those as well. I highly recommend Tommy's Tree Service and I will call him in the future for any tree trimming, etc that I need to have done.

My son and I were installing a garden path as a surprise for my husband. When we got into the project we realized the tree roots were beyond our ability to remove. I have used Tommy twice before and recommended him to many a friend. I called him up and he was able to work me in quickly. While he was here, I had him take down some low hanging limbs that were a potential danger to the neighbors roof in a storm. He and his crew worked quickly and took care of all my issues.

Tommy was responsive to provide a quote on a Saturday, the day after the tree blew down. His crew and Tommy were there on Monday morning and got a half day job done in two hours because he had four well organized workers. They removed all the debris.

Tommy arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time to give me an estimate for the tree trimming and removal. He provided a written estimate and was very clear about what the estimate included. When I told him how I wanted the magnolia trees trimmed, he warned me that the trees would have gaps if he trimmed in that manner. We discussed the best way to achieve the results that I wanted. I also told Tommy that I might eventually replace the pine tree with another smaller tree and asked for suggestions for a type of tree that, when full grown, would not have so much shade that my lawn would die. He provided alot of good suggestions about the pros and cons of different trees. I decided to use Tommy's Tree Service to do the work. The work was completed as agreed. The 2 guys who came out to do the work were very polite and wanted to make sure that the work was done to my satisfaction. They cleaned up all the trimmings and left my yard the way they found it. I will definitely call Tommy when my magnolia trees need to be trimmed again.

Tommy showed up on time with a large crew and he personally supervised the work throughout the day. This was particularly important during the tree trimming part of the job(which was the major part) as it would have been difficult to convey all the details of what needed to be done to his workers. What I usually see with contractors is that they promise you the moon and the stars and then disappear when the actual work starts and their workers do whatever they want. Tommy's workers did an excellent job, cleaned everything up and the trees looked great. The big pecans had a lot trimmed off including the complete removal of some major limbs and they do not have that "bad hair-cut" look that I often see. Tommy is a great arborist whom seems to have a natural flair for caring for trees We are very happy with Tommy's Tree Service and will use them again this fall to deep root fertilize the magnolia and some crepe myrtles at our home.

Tommy does an excellent job. My wife is very particular about how she wants her trees trimmed and Tommy's people don't mind taking orders from a woman. Tommy does not believe in stripping all the limbs from a tree. He likes to leave as many branches on the tree as necessary. Other tree trimmers I noted strip the tree so all the big branches have a bunch of smaller branches at the very tip. They look awful. Tommy believes in discriminate trimming so that not all of the weight of a branch is at the end but is distributed through out the branch, thus making the branch stronger. One of our trees has some mold growing on it and Tommy recommended we have a forester look at the tree and gave us the name on one. We appreciated that Tommy was not afraid to recommend a competitor that knew about this mold,

The men arrived early, began preparation and when Tommy arrived they were told what to do. They went to work and Tommy stayed to over see the work.

The whole experience was very positive from receiving the estimates to completion. We would definitely recommend Tommy's and were very happy that we found him on Angie's List!

I highly recommend Tommy's Tree Service. He's perfect for when you just need maintenance done or tree removal. He came out immediately to give us an estimate and then withing a week, he can set-up the appointment, get it taken care of. They are very professional and clean up after themselves so your yard looks exactly as it is before they were there but with a higher canopy for the trees. They're great.

I contacted Tommy's Tree Service to get an estimate for the above mentioned services. He arrived at the stated time, gave a complete and itemized bid, and scheduled a time for the services to be performed. His bid was very reasonable and within our expectations. When he determined he was going to be late arriving to perform the scheduled services, he contacted our home and told us when he would arrive. His crew arrived within the stated time, and once Tommy arrived on site, their work began. They were professional in every meaning of the word. Tommy supervised the entire job from start to finish, and checked with us at various points to ensure that he and his crew were performed to our expectations. We were concerned that debris from the tree trimming would fall into our pool, and we were correct. However, Tommy's crew removed the debris from the pool with care. Once the job was finished, the crew cleaned up all branches and debris beautifully! They were even careful to make sure foliage that was planted around the two trees we had removed was disturbed as little as possible. We were very pleased with the overall look of our landscaping when the job was finished.

He was very prompt and professional. He probably trimmed a little on the conservative side. He was a good honest guy. I felt like I could trust him more than some of the others I interviewed.

This was the first time I used Angie's List to select a service provider, and Tommy's Tree Service did an excellent job trimming and removing trees. The cost was more than reasonable for the amount of work performed by the crew. I highly recommend them and will use them agian.

Tommy came and did the estimate in a timely manner, explaining what type of trees we had, what he could do and what he couldn't do (he did everything we asked). Tommy and his crew took out a Mexican fan palm in our back yard. It was a small space with lots of possibilities for error, but they were careful and everything went perfectly. They cleaned so well that one wouldn't even have known that there was a tree removed. Then they came to the from yard and trimmed a green ash tree we had there as well. I would use this service again with absolutely no hesitation.

Within the same day I contacted him, Tommy was at my house giving me an estimate on work that needed to be completed on the half a dozen trees around my house. He was knowledgeable and straight-forward, and I felt like he was being truly honest about the work that needed to be done and what did not be done. His price was about what I expected it to be, and without hesitation he accepted the 10% off Angie's List coupon. He also offered to do a few other things at no charge since they were so minor. I did not receive any other bids, so I don't have any comparison on price, but I assume it would not have been the lowest or the highest. For the type of work that was done, the price was right. On the day of the work, Tommy and his team arrived promptly and got to work immediately. Within a handful of hours, they had completed everything they promised and it looked great. They cleaned the area around every tree they did work on, and it was like they had never been there. Tommy and his team were professional, and they did an excellent job all around.

Tommy responded quickly to my call and gave me an estimate in line with the others I received. The decision was made to have Tommy come and remove the tree and grind the stump. Tommy was actually able to arrive earlier than scheduled and remove the tree. His crew show up and removed the tree and ground the stump in 3 hours. They left the yard clean even though the tree was still covered in dead leaves.
