TLC Animal Hospital

TLC is the best for animals. They care about the patients. They call and check up on my pet. If he has an appointment, they will call the next day to see how he is doing. Their customer service is out of this world.

Vaccinations went well, OFA x-rays not so well their was some confussion about what I wanted done, but this may have been my fault. Breeding x-rays did not go well. I was told their was 5 puppies, when only 4 showed up, I had to take her beck for another x-ray. I am not sure that this is TLC fault, because I believe they outsource the x-ray reviews, but who ever they use is worthless. Generally I feel like I get the best price for Quality services at TLC. I have just had a few problems with their x-ray services and would not recommend them for those types of services.

I would use them in the future.

They’re great! As good as it gets. They’re really wonderful, the place is clean, and the owner’s husband is the vet next door. The crew is available for pickup 7 days a week and flexible with pickup time. Their prices are very reasonable.  This is the only place we go!

Let me start by saying that Dr. Kuecker is a wonderful doctor who cares about helping pets.  However, the front office staff has been providing a very mixed experience, when they used to be great.  Sometimes a very professional person is behind the desk and sometimes the total opposite is experienced.  More often than not, it is the latter.  I've noticed a lot of employee turn over in the past few months and this has affected service quality and it also shows that there is something deeper going on in the culture of this clinic that is driving good employees away.  Appointments are very time consuming because it seems that the clinic is constantly overbooked and the staff lacks training and practice in how to handle each customer quickly and efficiently.  It seems that the staff is very stressed because there is a lack of structure in this clinic.  Unfortunately, this trend is taking away from the great performance of the doctors and I hope to see an improvement in this area.

I'll give an example of my experience with the front office staff.  When I call into the clinic to schedule an appointment or get a call back from a tech or the doctor about a pet health issue, the receptionist who answers most of the time is not very people friendly and sounds like she is being bothered by getting a phone call.  When I am concerned about one of my furry children, this is not the kind of welcome that I am expecting.  When I say, "Hi, it's Christine Gietzen" (and they all know me by name), I want to hear a happy smiling voice over the phone respond back to me, not a "what do you want" or "oh it's you" sound over the phone.  It's really that obvious.  I can't really say it any better than this.  It's rude, discourteous and this person needs to either be trained and coached in answering the phone professionally or be moved to another area of the clinic where she is not interfacing with the clients.  She is even this way in person and I don't appreciate it at all.  The other ladies who work the front desk are great, but this one person overshadows them all due to her negative attitude towards people in general.

I have been going to TLC for over 10 years. The vets are top notch. They are the most caring people I have met - they truly love their patients. They are a bit expensive, but it is the doctors that keep me going back. The technicians who help with the vaccinations and exams have also provided excellent service over the years. My dogs have had surgeries, annual exams, allergy work-ups, and teeth cleanings. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to be seen on time - typical wait is 45 min to an hour after appt time. Part of that is the individual service and time they spend with their patients. They will also drop everything for an emergency. The girls at the front are not very professional and definitely detract from the overall customer service experience.

We had taken Ben to the vet because he was coughing (like trying to get rid of hairball). The first visit was on Saturday 9/12/09 and included thoracic chest x-ray, it showed fluid in/around lungs. We got antihistamine and diuretic pills for him. This helped a little bit but after a few days he was still waking up at 4:00am and coughing like he couldn't breathe so we took him back for a re-check and asked if this could be feline asthma. This time they took a blood sample and gave him steroid shot. Cat now seems to be fine!

Had to wait over 30 minutes for a scheduled nail trim and then was charged double the price I had paid on previous visits because (as I was told) my dog was being uncooperative. Further, during the 30 minutes of waiting, the office staff had a long argument just a few yards from where I was sitting. It made me very uncomfortable.

We were extremely happy with this kennel. It was clean and spacious, they walked our dogs twice a day and the staff is amazing! They performed extras like bathing, doing obedience training, trimming, and giving extra treats and bones. We've used them several times over the past year. The price for boarding is per day.

THESE VETS ARE SO CARING AND THOUGHTFUL. THEY TAKE THEIR TIME WITH THEIR PATIENTS AND THEIR OWNERS. AFTER OUR RESCUE PUPPY DIED, THEY SENT ME A BEREAVEMENT CARD THAT THEY ALL HAD SIGNED. IT MEANT THE WORLD TO OUR FAMILY.
