Tilo's Landscaping

Description of Work: Although we did not use Tilo's company it was not based on not wanting to use him, it was the fact we liked both bidders and had to choose somebody. So flipped a coin basically. However, he came out the day after our talk on the phone (as we agreed on). His bid was within reason and very complete and detailed. He was very pleasant and seemed to be very knowledgeable.

Description of Work: I was not going to write this until I read another report with exactly the same experience as mine. I spent 2 hours with Tilo on a hot July morning. He was very pleasant and knowledgable and spent a great deal of time measuring and suggesting things for my property, all of which I was happy to hear. I had a budget of about $4,000. He said he would send me an estimate within a week. I asked if I needed to call to set another appt. He said No I would be hearing from him. That was the last time I ever saw or heard from him again. No estimate. No phone call. No letter of explanation. A followup phone call from me 2 weeks later went unanswered. I was really disappointed and figured he just decided my job was too small; but I wish he had just said so. I was really hoping to see his work for myself because I had read such great stuff about him. I guess he didn't need my business, but I still think it was a very unprofessional way to behave.

Description of Work: None. I called Tilo based on the reports here for a landscaping estimate. I saw on the map that he was located near Hobby airport. I asked him if he ever did work in the Cypress area since it was northwest Houston versus Southeast. He asked if it was landscaping or just lawn maintenance. When I told him it was for Landscaping he said it would meet me on Sunday at 12 noon. I changed my Sunday schedule to accommodate that. Tilo did not show and did not call. I even called him and left a message with my contact info asking if he would call me just to say whether he was coming or not coming. I certainly would have understood if he decided it was just too far or he was just too busy to meet at the arranged time. I never received a call back from Tilo and that IMHO is not very professional or courteous.

Description of Work: Came out quickly and then mailed me an estimate. Quote was high compared to others, but more importantly, the quote was had several not included remarks. I was looking for a quality job.

Description of Work: Installed three photimios (3 gallon). Pruned three large oak trees; pruned and cleaned front and back beds, mulched front and back beds; removed approximately 3 cby of soil; installed approx 59 yards of gavel for drainage; hauled all clippings and branches from pruned trees; sprayed for insects and fungus; installed two flats of pansies; cut and edged lawn

Description of Work: THEY DID MOWING, TRIMMING, WEED REMOVAL FROM THE GARDEN; AND CUTTING OF SHRUBBERY.
