piano moving
 + -1 moreTHEY WERE MUCH CHEAPER THAN ALL OTHER PIANO MOVERS I CALLED. OVER THE PHONE, I WAS QUOTED $75. I THOUGHT THEY COULD GO IN THE BACK DOOR WITH MY PIANO, BUT IT WAS TOO NARROW, SO THEY HAD TO GET IT IN THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR. WHEN THE 2 MEN WHO CAME DECIDED THEY COULDN'T DO IT ALONE, THEY CALLED IN A 3RD MAN, WHICH I WAS HAPPY ABOUT SINCE MY PIANO'S AN ANTIQUE AND I'D RATHER THEM ADMIT THEY WEREN'T ABLE THAN TO TRY. (MY PIANO IS UPRIGHT, BUT AN OLD PLAYER, AND WEIGHS OVER 1000 POUNDS...WHEN I SAID A BIG UPRIGHT, ON THE PHONE, THE GUY DIDN'T REALIZE IT WOULD BE SO BIG.) WITH THE THIRD GUY, THEY MANEUVERED THE PIANO IN THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR, AFTER TAKING OFF THE GLASS MIRROR, LEGS, AND BOTTOM PART. OVERALL, I FELT LIKE THE PIANO WAS IN GOOD HANDS (ESP. AFTER THEY CALLED GUY #3). ONCE THE 3RD GUY GOT HERE, IT TOOK ABOUT HALF AN HOUR. THEY DIDN'T CHARGE EXTRA, THOUGH THEY HAD EXPECTED TO BE IN AND OUT IN 30 MIN, AND THEY ENDED UP STAYING 1 1/2 HR. I LEFT A BIG TIP.
Description of Work: THEY TOOK MY LARGE, UPRIGHT, KIMBALL PIANO FROM A U-HAUL, UP A FEW STEPS, AROUND A SHARP CORNER, AND INTO MY HOME. TO GET AROUND THE SHARP CORNER, THEY HAD TO TURN THE PIANO ON ITS SIDE.
