Terminix - Houston -Termite & Pest Control

The inspection and treatment of our home went fine, although the indications of poor and tardy customer services were evident.
The payment for services occurred right after attendance and was via credit card.   Several months later we started receiving phone calls that the payment was not made.   We checked online and it appeared as though the payment had not been received.  We then called Terminix to provide the details and were given the OK that payment had been made and received by them.  Several months later we enquired as to why our inspection was not planned or programmed and we were told we did not have an account with them anymore.   This made it very easy for us to quickly change vendor as it was obvious that Terminix financial/accounting representatives are substandard at best.
Please do not use Terminix unless you are prepared to accept extremely poor account services.

They listen to me, and they work real hard to do what I ask them to do. They usually don't come in the house but I told them I want them to come in the house to do some spraying for ants, then they did come to the house. They explained to me that if they do a good enough job outside, they don't come inside but I told them I want them to come inside and spray in certain places, and they did. I really appreciated that. They're very courteous, and they let me know if there's any problems. They're very professional, and he's very personable. He knows what I expect of him.

They were rated highly on the list. However, they were unethical in a sense. I felt that they were trying to bait and switch. They said I didn’t have to sign a contract with them and I could terminate the work at any time. When I called them to start the services, they explained no one said that and they only offer a one-year binding contract. They refused to keep their word to what they said earlier. Since they are a national company, probably all of their service and chemicals should be good. However, I would recommend you talk everything out before you agree to anything so that they don’t try any bait and switch tactic.

I have always enjoyed them.  I pay them every quarter.

We have a bundle with a termite protection and pest control. We are so happy with their service, that we recommended them to our daughter, and now she uses them as well. They come out and explain everything that they are going to do, and they ask if we have any concerns. They are very responsive, and if you have any problems, they come out very quickly.

I was really happy with them. I had another question so they came back out.

Rep seemed very professional on the phone and told me they would be at my home later in the day. When they did not show at the promised time, I called back and the phone rep I got that time said there was no notes on my account and no appointment scheduled. I thanked her for her time and told her we would be calling someone else for our service.

They came out with small spray cans, I was surprised, but I must say that I haven't seen one bug since! They know their stuff! They sprayed outside around my home and inside as well!

The tech who comes out is great, very professional and dedicated but over scheduled. The office staff are the opposite!

Rather than tell you that you don’t have termites, they will only tell you that they guarantee any repair work. They also will not go beyond about 3 feet from the perimeter of the house.

Tech was great. Always showed up when scheduled. was professional. did a good job. Just beware of their office staff.

Came to evaluate and give estimate promptly. Did the work the next day . Great since we were leaving on vacation the day following service

In South Carolina we didn't have termites or bugs unless you were a filthy housekeeper, but we move here and everybody has bugs plus termites everywhere. I called another pest control company who was supposed to be the #1 company and we used them for 25 years. Every year I would pay them for the quarterly service and the yearly inspection for termites, but they were here and gone in 15 minutes and the cost increased for $300 to $400 and then all of a sudden it was $500. I told them that I wasn't paying them $500 to come out here for 15 minutes, so then he said that he could retreat our house for $1,000 and then put me on a new contract. I said to him I wasn't paying that amount and he told me that was all he could do. I told them if I leave them that I would never come back to them again and I was done and now I'm with Terminix and they're very professional and let you know ahead of time when they're coming. he always knocks on the door to see if I'm home and if I've been having any problems. If I have any questions like about termites and ants they always explain it and are just really good people.

I like one particular man that comes out. I have had a problem with them about that because at one time, one of the guys came and it rained right after he came and my dog got sick from the stuff and I called and they were supposed to have on our account, to only send this one particular person and they call me every three months, an automated call, and I have to always make a call to make sure that it is Tom that they are sending and they never have it right. They have to change it.

They are very good.

I would continue to use them.

They call me and let me know they're coming.  They have to go through my neighbor's yard to get to a part of my property so when they call I can let the neighbors know they're coming.  They do a good job.

They were very good, they did a good job, and they were friendly.

I am on a one year contract. I used them several years ago on another house and never had to call them back so I guess they did a good job. I thought their price was a little high compared to other vendors around here but I will use them again in the future.

We are on an annual contract, so they are out here every quarter. We decided to use them because of their quality, dependability and reliability. Their professionalism, service, cleanup and things like that are all good. They are due out here within the next thirty days.

They are always here.  They are friendly and nice.

They come out three times a year.
