Overall, it went well. Remodeling always has surprises and challenges. Plumbing crew was experienced and came up with good solutions to them. Everything is fit and functional. Looks good, works fine. Got what I had hoped for. Took a little bit longer than estimated, BUT glad they didn't rush through it. Didn't do the best job cleaning up, but didn't expect that. Prefer they focus on the plumbing. Price was reasonable considering the complications. Don't mind paying a little extra for for experience and accountability.

The technician quickly identified a problem that two other plumbers could not and fixed it in about five minutes. Very prompt, professional, courteous and knowledgable. These guys are awsome.

The thing I like about them is they will charge by the time it takes them to do the job. So if it only takes them 20 minutes they won't charge for a whole hour. I have recommended them to friends.

They're honest and fair. Their prices are reasonable, and they do good work. They clean up after themselves. I would use their services again in the future.

They did not show up this morning for the appointment I scheduled. They did not call either. When I called to asked them what was happening they said they had an emergency call they had to take but could not explain why they did not call to let me know they were going to be very late. I had told them when I booked the appointment that I worked and it was important that they show up on time or at least call if they were going to be late. They did neither. This does not seem to me to be a reputable company and I can not recommend them.

On Monday I had Nick's Plumbing come out because the drain for my washing machine was overflowing on the rinse cycle and Drano MaxForce hadn't fixed the problem. Service rep came out and use a drill-attached snake, said he cleaned out some roots and mud, but after testing the drainage, still hadn't fixed the problem. He ran a hose down the pipe and encountered a blockage 15 ft from the washer. He speculated that the cast iron pipes under my foundation were rusted out, and gave an estimate to tunnel under the house and replace it for several thousands of dollars. This was the first time I had used Nick's, because they had mostly great reviews here in AngiesList. After pondering this, I called Sword Plumbing and asked them to send someone out with a camera cause I wanted to see this before spending the money and to get a second opinion. I've used Sword once at my house and several times at a friend's house. Doug showed up on time (actually a little early!), we discussed what the problem was, and he proposed (rather than the camera, which was going to be difficult since we couldn't locate any cleanouts) to send a REAL plumbers snake down the vent on the roof. 20 minutes later I had a properly draining pipe and NO evidence of rusted out pipes under the foundation (he ran the snake 65 feet!) I don't know why I didn't call them the first time, but I definitely won't make the same mistake again. They may not be the cheapest but they've definitely done right by me multiple times.

They were wonderful. They basically charged only an hourly fee and not a fee just to show up. It was very reasonable. They were in our house for two hours and it costed $226. They did good work and they cleaned up after themselves. They were in and out, and they were just really wonderful. They got here exactly when they said they would. They were very professional. We will absolutely use their services again in the future if we need to.

We had used this company before (based on an Angie's list recommendation) to repair our shower faucet. The man they sent out was extremely pleasant and courteous and he did an excellent job. We had meant to write a good review but forgot. When the faucet broke, we immediately bought two replacements and called Sword Plumbing. It was the same plumber who came and he spotted that one of the faucets that we had bought at Home Depot had been used and repackaged so he only installed one and came back to install the other after we replaced the defective one without an additional service charge. From the fact that he put shoe guards on before going into the house to his quiet and pleas demeanor and the quick, clean and efficient way that he worked and his honesty in refusing to install a repackaged unit, we were impressed and satisfied. I did not consider his charges to be unreasonable and we would use this company again if the need arose.

Doug from Sword Plumbing called before arriving at our house and arrived on time. We explained the problem to him. He investigated and found the problem in short order. The diverter assembly that diverts the water flow between the faucet and the sprayer was stuck towards the sprayer side. Because we didn't know what brand of faucet we had, Doug wasn't able to get a replacement part so we just asked him to leave the diverter out. Now the water flow from the faucet is great. Of course the faucet still runs when the sprayer is used, but that's ok. Doug was accurate with his diagnosis, friendly and patient in answering our questions. We also had a problem with our drain line out of the kitchen. Doug tried to clean it out for us but discovered the pipe is broken. We'll have to wait until we have the money to get that fixed, but we'll be calling Sword Plumbing when we are ready. Sword Plumbing was the 3rd plumbing company we had called. Alan's Plumbing didn't keep the appointment we made with them and (after the appointment time) suggested we call someone else. Roto Rooter came out. Their plumber didn't investigate the problem - just said we probably needed a new faucet. They offered to install one for us for $269 and wanted another $249 to clean the drain line. I'm glad we decided to call Sword Plumbing.

Professional; do great work; expensive.

The work went great. Gary fixed the connection which was leaking small droplets. He also installed a new water filter canister and dated the new one so we would know when it was time to replace. Gary reminded me that the canister needs to be replaced yearly. He explained that the office would call next year as a service reminder. He left in less than an hour having completed all of the work.

Without testing or touching either, Mr. Sword gave opinion that rusted 1 1/2 inch steel pipe inlet into house was leaking, as was similar outlet pipe from garage. I was there and gas seemed to be coming out of ground below each pipe. Sword gave written proposal to replace gas line for over $5500. The job actually cost $2400 from S & B Plumbing of Sugar Land; they used the existing inlet and outlet steel pipes which were not leaking, installed a new line, were courteous and explanatory, and cleaned up well. I have used Sword Plumbing before and was disappointed that he made and incorrect diagnosis and shocked that his bid was so high. I would not use Sword again.

We have a Kohler commode in our master bathroom. The valves were defective and needed to be replaced. The toilet was constantly running. Gary, the plumber, inspected the toilet and determined that the central valves were worn out. He explained that these particular parts were on backorder from Kohler. Kelly, Sword Plumbing's representative continually checked with me as the part(s) needed were on backorder. I was impressed because the job was followed up over three months. When the part(s) arrived, they called me and scheduled an appointment to install the new part(s). The plumber and helper arrived on time and replaced the part(s). The plumbers were neat, prompt and professional.

I can't remember the exact price for this service because I have used them several times before and the bills are confusing. Every time I have used them I feel like I get a good deal though. They showed on time and did a great job. The water pressure in my house increased once the work was done, so that was an extra surprise. My water bill went down too.
