"[member name removed], I just took a look at your work order from September 9th 2013. Upon looking at it, I see that your total price was $897.00 rather than $1100.00, He only charged you for ONE unit for the $99.00 Angies list special you purchased. There was no "goo" applied. There may have been a sealant applied if there was a leak in your duct in which you would have had to approve prior to the technician doing the service which he did not charge you extra for. Also, He did do a mold treatment for you because there was mold found in your unit, This treatment was $798.00 which is around our standard price to treat and rid your home of mold. This would also have to be approved by you PRIOR to the technician completing the service. Its unfortunate that you were unhappy with the cost of the over all job completion, but as stated, any and all extra services offered at the time of the service is 100% optional and must be approved by the customer before the technician completed it. With all do respect, you could have denied the additional services and only paid for the one unit you had originally requested. We are however required by law to inform you of any mold found, due to health risks for you and your family or any occupants in the home. Again, we are sorry for you frustration and you do have a two year warranty on the mold treatment you approved if by chance mold does re-accumulate within that two years."
"[member name removed], We are displeased to hear that you were not happy with the service, unfortunately, you did not leave a reason as to why. Would you mind explaining what the issue was so we may have the opportunity to rectify it. Please send us an email at [email protected] or call the office at 832-212-1111 so we may better assist."
"[member name removed], Its unfortunate that you feel that way about our company. We thrive on customer satisfaction and have great reviews. Upon looking at your invoice, I Noticed that you had purchased the $79 Air duct cleaning deal through angies list which clearly states that it is $79 for up to 10 vents & $15 for each additional vent after the first 10. This is the deal that was offered through angies list. Its advised to read all the details prior to purchase to avoid such confusion. Your total was $184.00, that was the $79 that you had paid angies list for your voucher plus an additional $105 for the additional 7 vents you had. I can assure you that no one from our company intentionally broke or caused any issues with your system, the additional $500 was not for any repairs at all, He had left you an ESTIMATE for $503.15 for additional services he though you might be interested in, those additional services are as follows, $299.00 for a mold treatment which is required by state law that we inform you of and give you pricing for. Mold is very common here in the state due to the high humidity and constant running of an A/C unit. I had also discounted that $299 for you and taken off an additional $44.00 when we spoke on the phone and you stated how interested you were in the service but would appreciate a bit of a discount, we honored that request by discounting the Mold treatment $44.00 & offering the Sanitizer treatment for free. The additional $249 was to seal an air duct that had a leak in it allowing your air flow to travel outside the ductwork causing you to run your system more often and lose cold air. This can also cause mold due to condensation from the mixing of the hot air and the cold air from your system due to the leak. In no way shape or form would we damage your system in order to gain extra services. Our technician was simply informing you that you had a leak in one of your ducts as well as mold growth. Your total for the estimate should have been $947.00 which we discounted down to $503.00 upon your request. After speaking to you several times, you stated that was simply not enough of a discount and that you would be going with another company for the services. I can assure you, if your A/C unit is not working properly after the technician left the home, we would be more than happy to send someone back to the home at no charge to take a look at the issue and the cause."
