SpaceManager Closets

I purchased a $199 Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was pretty good overall. I think it turned out to be kind of expensive. We really liked the closet overall, but they did not take care of some of the wood trim at the bottom baseboard. They had to take those out and they did not put anything back in so the bottom of the wall is kind of bare, but I guess we are probably the only ones that notice that. Overall, it is a lot more functional right now. Overall, I would say we are happy with it. I think we spent an additional $300-$400 on this project.

Overall great! They came back and did a service call to fix a few things to make sure I was happy after it was all paid for. That was a big deal. Very happy! Wish I would have used a Angie list coupon though, and I price would of been Ideal.

Spaceman did a wonderful job. The job was performed as promised. Workers were courteous, punctual and left the space cleaner than they found it. We paid $379 for $800 worth of closet organization and then added a few extras. The total closet project value was $1,300, but we only paid $879. We would use them again in a heartbeat.

Designer came, listened to our needs, measured and suggested a solution. The installer was very professional and considerate. I was under the impression that individual shoe cubbies were to be installed in one cabinet, but regular adjustable shelves were installed instead. After I got over my initial disappointment of not getting what I expected, I realized that the regular shelving gives much more flexibility and I am very extremely happy with the end results.

Called and made appointment. Michael from sales came to the house and measured the closets, asked and listened to what I hoped to have as a finished product. He then went back to the office and drew up the closets and emailed them to me. We emailed back and forth with design changes until I was satisfied with the design. He was very accommodating and patient. Once the design was finalized, he invited me (not required) to come to the show room to look at all the finishing options. I took him up on the offer and by doing so found other features that I wanted, only once seeing them in person and in application. David, the owner of the company, took time to come out and meet me, helped Michael finalize all plans. Approximately two weeks later Marvin came out and installed both closets in one day. They are beyond perfect, and Spaceman's team helped me save money by offering me alternatives at every turn of the process - from choosing laminate or hard wood, to allowing me the option of tearing out the old closet shelves before they got there to install the new ones. All in all, they were fantastic. Kudos to Michael and Marvin for representing Spaceman so well.

Spaceman was prompt and courteous. Our master closet is small - and we gained some space by doing the remodel.

way more expensive than the deal offered

This is the third time Spaceman has done work in my home office. This time we used mostly existing pieces and moved them around to give more space. A new piece of counter top was needed and a different type of support. Note that a retrofit job is perhaps even more labor intensive than a new installation since all the old pieces have to be dismantled, moved, and reinstalled in combination with the new pieces. The entire process went well. I am quite pleased. A really nice thing my designer did was direct me to a Groupon that saved me a substantial amount on the total cost. I was very grateful. I definitely recommend SpaceMan and will use them in the future as other projects pop up.

Overall the process was very good and the company was responsive. They did the work we agreed to at the time and rate agreed upon. They recommended someone to do the tear out of the old pantry who also did a good job. Overall I am pleased.

I ended up choosing SpaceMan over another closet redesign company for the following reasons: 1. I felt like their original design was a more optimal use of the space. 2. Their original design allowed us to use more vertical space for storage (i.e. they designed the system to a greater height for additional storage) 3. Their designer came in, asked me several questions about what he saw in the closet, what i was looking for and then told me what he was thinking. After a bit of discussion, he did the design right there on the spot in 10 minutes while I browsed through their catalog of knobs, finishes and accessories (and lots of accolades and client thank you letters) My only ding against them is that the design ended up removing three sets of hooks from a short wall and replacing them with only a single rack. This is my fault for not catching, but I don't think it was an effective use of the space, and would have been a cost savings had I paid more attention. Now my husband is going to have to remove the SpaceMan-installed rack and replace the ones that were removed. Other than that, I'm completely happy with the process, the installation, mostly happy with the cost, and slightly grumpy with myself for trying to move too quickly through the process and overlooking the issue above. I would definitely recommend SpaceMan, and still would have chosen them had I noticed the rack issue in advance.

It could not have gone better. They were right on time, came completely prepared and were very clean. Space Manager exceeded our expectations.

From the design visit to the installation everything went extremely well. We can't believe that we waited this long to turn our unorganized and trashy garage into an organized space. Everyone at this company is very professional. The installer stayed a little longer the first day to get the job done. We appreciated that effort. Great job!

The sales person was punctual for the design meeting and the installers were as well. The work was done neatly and quickly. As the installer finished each area he thoroughly cleaned the floors and the cabinets before moving to the next area. I was truly impresed by the care he took and the quality of the product delivered. They were great!! I would highly recommend.

They gave me a comprehensive consultation where they gave me a fair price quote which they honored. On installation day, they were on time, and finished in 3-4 hours. The space was left clean. Highly recommend!

An excellent job from start to finish. This was a complete remodel for our Master Closet. Michael Dumas visited us at home to discuss our needs for the closet and to measure the available space. Michael returned in a few days with a detail design. With a slight modification, the plan was perfect for us. We signed the contract and agreed to an installation date. On the install date, the installer arrived on schedule and completed the installation within the estimated time. The work was very professional and the closet was cleaned and ready for use when the installer finished. We were completely satisfied and would certainly recommend Space Man.

The work was done promptly, professionally, and exceeded our expectations. The finished product has provided everything we hoped for and more in terms of quality, usability, increased space. Moreover, the craftsmanship and attention to detail resulted in an aesthetically pleasing addition to our home that has undoubtedly increased it's value and appeal.

The service was really good. Everything went well according to what we wanted.

During the installation the technician hit an electrical wire (he wasn't injured) while installing the anchors in the wall. SpaceMan did an outstanding job getting an electrician to the house promptly to resolve the problem. The owner of SpaceMan called me personally to apologize and take full responsibility. Problems will happen and what matters is how they are resolved. I give SpaceMan an A+ for how they handled this problem. The master closet is awesome and we are very glad we choose SpaceMan's closet solution.

Space Man was excellent to work this on this project. Very professional, punctual and excellent skills. They came to our home; took measurements, provided us with a design and eventually an agreed upon contract. We were able to visit their office and choose additional enhancements for our project. It was a please doing business with them. We would highly recommend their services.

I purchased the big deal from Angie's List and it turned out great. They were easy to work with. They came out, did nice work and cleaned up after themselves.

y happyIt went perfect... came in the day before, removed old shelving and hanger racks. Made sheet rock repairs, re-textured and painted to match. Came in second day, installed everything we ordered and some within four hours, two rooms. Very Happy!
