It was fine. The only issue I had was with the ad they had and the way it was worded. I had to upgrade to a better film than what was initially offered. The work turned out very well in the end.

They use very good products and had a nice presentation when they came to my home. The price was a lot higher than what I anticipated. They were very professional and explained everything. They left a bid right away so that was good as well.

It was a great job. They provided very good work. The tinting definitely helps. He did a perfect job. He let us know sometimes the film can bubble but it did not.

As expected. The salesman was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. The estimate was several hundred dollars less than the other two estimates we had obtained. The installers were not as neat and detail oriented as another company (with a higher estimate) we had used earlier but they were also prompt, courteous and knew what they were doing. They cleaned up after themselves. The difference between the two installations was slight gaps at the edges of the windows. The gaps are very small, about a millimeter wide at most. The trade off was the lower cost and we had expected some reduction in quality so it was not upsetting.

The Solar-X estimate was substantially lower than an estimate by another company.  We had the film applied only to certain windows, so there were not quite enough square feet to qualify for the Angie's List discount.  Solar-X gave us a partial discount anyway.  We had to wait about 2 weeks, during which questions arose, but the Solar-X representative always answered his cell phone quickly while on other jobs and took the time to answer our questions.  He was quite flexible, making one or two changes in our order almost to the day of application. The work went well, took about 3 hrs, looks good.  Clean-up was good.  It is too soon to say if there might be any long-term problems, but Solar-X included a warranty.

Salesman came over when promised, we went over my concerns and what I wanted, he made several suggestions, and even recommedend the cheapest solution, which is the one I picked. the installers showed up within 2 days, they showed me the film, explained to me hot to care for it, and completed a proffesional installion, they cleaned up after themselves, the job went very well, and i would recommed them to anyone.

The salesman came out to the house on the agreed time and date.  We toured the house, he measured the windows and gave me some observations. We then talked about the film. He noted that the sunny sides of the house already had solar screens and suggested that I go with clear film since my intention was safety/security. He never attempted to convince me the solar screens should be scrapped in favor of tinted film, I thought that was excellent.  He gave me the estimate in writing, told me what time of lead time he needed to assign a crew, and said they would get the whole house completed in less than a day, and didn't charge me for the two smaller windows for cleanup of former tint.

I called about four weeks later and scheduled a time. On the install date, I had to call the office to find out the time the crew would arrive, most home workpeople I have used usually leave a message the day before or call you in the morning of the day the work is scheduled, always a nice touch.

The crew arrived on time, two installers. I walked them through the house so they could see the work to be done. They got to work right away with little noise or fuss. They methodically worked their way through the house doing all the windows. In the Bedroom I had to take down the shades and drapes, and when done they put them back.  They bagged all the plastic they peeled off the film to be stuck on the window, laid absorbent cloth on the window sills to catch the water used to install the film. When done they removed all the waste instead of trying to put it in my trash. One installer filled me in on when the 3M written warranty would arrive, gave me instructions on what to expect over the next 45 days and cautioned me about cleaning the film until that time period had passed so that all the moisture between the film and window had evaporated, and encouraged me to call if there were any questions or issues.

After they left I did a tour through all the windows and found some strips of plastic film on the ground. I found that one small window in the bathroom had not been done. I called the office and they promptly turned the installers around who came back and were apologetic and did the remaining window.  Later, I found more small strips of film on the ground, which concerned me as the film is sharp (both installers had cuts and were bandaids when done) and I have a small, inquisitive dog that excels at finding things like this. I also discovered that the frame around the glass in the back door that had to be removed to install the film did not have all the screws put back in, and there were some large paint chips scattered on the floor (see above about dog). While I am not surprised that removing a painted in frame would end up with chips, I would expect either them to be cleaned up or it brought to my attention. I also found one of the windows where they had unlocked it and raised it to make it easier to install the film had been closed, but not re-locked.  The install on the windows looks precise and clear, with no loose ends or flaws.

Overall it went well and I am satisfied. The installers were efficient and prompt in completing the work, and they were methodical on the install and did it to very tight tolerances consistently. I would have given and "A" had not the window been left unlocked, the frame left with uninstalled screws, and the assorted plastic strips and paint chips at the backdoor had not happened. I would recommend that anyone doing such work do a completion walk-through before the installers leave.

I spent $700 for the job. They were fine. The guy came out and gave me the estimate on time. They came out a couple of weeks later to do the actual work. I had scheduled an appointment. They put the film and the work was fine. I thought that their price was expensive; but I hadn?t called anybody else. I'll definitely use them again in the future.

After looking at the job they determined that window tinting would not help on the majority of my windows. Apparently tinting keeps out sun which helps reduce glare and temperature. Well these windows do not get direct sun, they are located under a patio enclosure. He did recommend tinting the one kitchen window. I appreciate the fact that they did not try to sell me something I did not need. I had another company quote me before them and they were going to install tinting on all window that would be over 2000.00. I highly recommend them for their honesty, integrity, and service.
