"At S.N.R. Electrical Services we go out to a customer?s home and provide a no cost estimate. Each estimate is then followed up by email in a written proposal. In every proposal there is a disclaimer stating ?EXCLUSIONS: Touching up of paint or sheetrock resulting from adding, re-location or removal of existing equipment or fixtures. - Center Point Energy schedule conflicts and workloads, if necessary. Additional delays outside of our control. City of Houston electrical permits (unless listed above included). Additional work or repairs requested by City of Houston inspection department will be priced accordingly. Additional requests or work requested by customer will be priced accordingly.? We do however, recommend several contractors and leave it up to the customer to make their own decision. In approving each estimate we ask that the proposal be signed and if amount is over $2500.00 we ask for 30% deposit for material. The remaining balance is due upon completion. Giving the customer time to view all workmanship and make any suggestions for change. With that being said the job was completed and final payment was received. It was when the customer was having other work done that he could not get complete is when he came down on us. That?s when accusations and issues ?in which the customer is complaining about started to arise?. We do strive for customer satisfaction and aim to please 100% of our customers. Its to bad that not everyone is on the same page."
"Hello Ms. [Consumer name withheld at their request] We regret not being able to meet your expectations. Yes, we do try to promise the moon and stars to all our customers. Especially customers like yourself, teachers and 1st responders. You had approved the estimate we provided for electrical work in which we offered your teachers discount and an additional discount due to the troubles you've had with previous contractors you've hired (so you've said). In working around your teachers schedule and with us just about complete with your job, you came to us and mentioned your financial situation. You said you could not afford the electrical work after all. We had to negotiate on a price for the work that was completed (in which was less than ½ of what the original proposal was). It's very sad that customers like yourself say service companies are expensive when you yourself paid next to nothing for our services and then have the audacity to call us for more work. We wish nothing but the best for you in HISD [Consumer name withheld at their request] Thank you again for the opportunity to try and service you and we hope you find a company that better suits your needs."
