SA Specialities is great! After calling multiple places and getting very high prices for a new AC unit, I finally called SA Specialities and got the same unit for thousands less! They were very responsive and performed all the work neatly and efficiently. They are my new go-to company for HVAC work.

Called on Sunday afternoon to report the problem. Office returned the call at 8 am Monday morning. Technician arrived at 9 AM. Incredibly fast service. He took his time and checked everything. Suggested we set the thermostat at 77 degrees. Next time we replace our entire unit we will go with a more efficient SEER.

Smooth process no issues

Saw an AD on TV and called as they had real good prices for new AC systems and mine was working but was 16 years old and thought it was time to get it replaced. The sales guy was great and seemed to know what he was talking about and gave me a quote that matched their advertised price, he did not try to upsell me or charge me more then what was advertised. The install went well, the installers knew what they were doing and were very polite. I had no issues with the install. They registered the warranties for me and got the warranty certificates a few days after the system was installed.

This company is clearly on its game!! SA Specialties replaced two COMPLETE AC and heating units in less than 8 hours (interior equipment is in the attic). They were prompt, clean and provided high quality equipment and not builders grade units. Their installers definitely know what they are doing. Before I committed to this project, I had the model and serial numbers of all of the equipment that they used checked out by another AC company. It was the high quality Lennox equipment (not the builder's grade Lennox material). They even follow up to make sure the unit is running well and do a free checkup one year following the installation. They also pull permits and complete the work as per code. I have referred them to at least two friends of mine who have also used them and both were very pleased. I would definitely use them again. As a matter of note, if your condenser/heating part of the system is in your attic, the key is to do this work early before the attic get hot - SA Specialties will help you save a bundle.

The service went okay. A couple technicians came out for the job. They said they could cool the master bedroom but they were never able to do so. I think that may be because of the duct work. I just wish they would have told me this up front before selling me everything they did. I had no problem scheduling the service.

This is the second time I have used SA Specialties to install a Lennox product and have been very pleased with their service and pricing. The system I replaced was a 4 ton GrandAire unit that used R-22 and will be completely phased out by 2017, making servicing this unit impossible. I began researching a very efficient replacement unit and noticed that Costco offered the Lennox line of products as well as offering a Costco cash card (up to $1,500) and 3% cash back if I used my Costco AMEX card for payment. I had their selected vendor come out and I asked them to provide a price for the XC16, a mid-level system with variable speeds. After taking into account the $1,500 cash card and the 3% discount, the XC16 system still would have cost me $12,100. I thought this was far too much for a mid-level unit and contacted SA Specialties. They had installed a 2 ton XC14 unit in 2013 and have done my spring/fall maintenance program for the last 2 years. David Williams came to the house and looked at the systems (I was originally considering replacing two systems instead of one) and talked me out of replacing my 5 ton SEER 13 Lennox system. I really appreciated his honesty and the fact I did not need to spend the money to replace 2 systems. David quoted me a price for the XC16 that was around $8,000 but also quoted me the top of the line XC25 for $10,800 but had a $1,000 rebate. David mentioned he has one in his house. I watched the video on the Lennox website and read some reviews on this system and was sold. Installation was scheduled for the following week. Luis and his team arrived around 9:30 am, laid drop clothes to protect the carpet and floors and removed the old system; the XC25 required me to have an additional return installed, which complicated the process a bit but Luis did a great job of adjusting to this and completing the job. Only issue was the thermostat--I received the WiFi compatible iComfort thermostat with this purchase and the first unit was faulty--it did not recognize the cooling unit, only the heating unit. They had to obtain a replacement, which added about 2 hours to the installation process; this was not Luis' fault. Once the unit had been working for about 24 hours, both my wife and I could tell an immediate difference; the living area was very comfortable and the new Lennox system really does pull humidity out of the air. I can also confirm that the unit is incredibly quiet--it is next to my pool equipment and I have to look at the XC25 to see if the fan is moving to tell if it is one. So far, I am very happy with the purchase. Time will tell if this system saves on energy. A happy customer and I will use SA Specialties in the future.

Crew showed up on time and were very polite and neat--placed drop cloths throughout house before they started work. Removed old units, installed new units and tested to ensure everything was in proper working order. Very happy with quality of work.

The SA Specialties sales person (David Williams) came to my house to inspeect my HVAC system. He was knowledgable in air conditioning systems, performance, installation, and the industry. He was able to answer all questions we had on the equipment SA Specialties sold and the installation details. We agreed on a new system and scheduled installation in two working days. The crew of two English speaking technicians arrived on the day scheduled (a day prior to a holiday) for the job. They worked hard after installing tarps in the house to access the attic unit. Both of the technicians were professional and answered my questions as they proceeded with the work. I observed them during the entire operation to insure they knew what to do and did not miss anything. Later in the day, a third person arrived to assist in the installation with the duct plenum, the duct hook-up and the HVAC wiring in the attic. They completed the work efficiently and tested the heating and air conditioning units and fine-tuned the air distribution. They cleaned up all trash and debris inside and outside the house and departed. The price was exactly as agreed and quoted by David for the new Trane HVAC system. Nothing additional, no surprises.

Bobby was wonderful and very knowledgeable. He performed an adjustment to a vent that made a huge difference. Others told us we needed new ones. He also was very up to date about insulation. While 4 other vendors advised us to add insulation, he explained why he didn't think it was a good idea. Made total sense! We went ahead and had a whole system installed. Abel and his crew were very professional and very helpful as well. Since the installation last week, we've had a few questions and our calls have all been promptly returned. We are happy! They arrived on time at around 9:30 a.m., taking special care to lay down drop clothes on ALL inside floors to protect them from rusty debris from the old unit. Took special care not to slam doors, bang into walls, etc. when entering/exiting the house or going up and down the stairs. They brought a product I wasn't familiar with to be used as a new slab for the outdoor unit. Even when accidentally disconnecting my cable and internet, located in the attic near their work area, they were helpful in getting the wires reconnected to get me back in business downstairs while I supervised their work. When placing my order with SA Specialties, I included the attic filter system and so far, am happy with that decision. It may be a little more difficult to change the filter, but the frequency will be reduced and I hope my home will be more dust-free. The installation took most of the day, completing the work about 4:30 that afternoon. The installers took time to show me their work and answer all questions.

SASpecialties is the most amazing HVAC company I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Bobby Adams is a rock star. I requested a very unusual service for Houston--installation of a humidifier. I called 5 other companies but no one else would even look at it. In fact, SAS had never installed this in Houston before but they were undeviating in their commitment to assist me. SAS researched, installed, and then came back 4 separate times to work on unexpected issues that occurred with the system. They were immediate in their responses, competent in their assessments, and outstanding in their customer service. The office staff knew my name and the service could not possibly have been better. There is no better HVAC service provider in Houston--using anyone else is simply a mistake, and I could not recommend them more fervently.

I called SA Specialties for a second bid on replacing the downstairs unit of my HVAC system. I called them specifically because of their numerous outstanding reviews on Angie's List. Dave Willem was the rep who came out to inspect the existing setup and make recommendations for the replacement. He is one of the most knowledgeable AC guys I have ever worked with. Dave is a super nice guy and has extensive prior experience as an installer/technician. He made a great effort to ensure that the system he quoted was the right one for the house. After two calls to his Trane rep to confirm SEER ratings on the tonnage I wanted, he recommended and priced a replacement system that I decided to buy. Installation was set up for the following Tuesday. On that day the three technicians arrived at the scheduled appointment time, laid down tarps over every inch of surface that they would be walking on, and then started dismantling the old system. These three techs were extremely polite and professional, and it was really a pleasure to have them working in my house. The new system was then installed and tested, and then they cleaned up thoroughly after themselves. SA Specialties has now replaced the HVAC company I have used for years. I give them my highest recommendation. They know "their stuff," communicate well with their customers, and do everything they say they will do. They are an outstanding company.
