I do not recall him stating that we (homeowner) could get the permit, only that they rarely have needed to get one, and in fact he could only recall one instance in which they needed one. He also initially stated that they use a third party to get the permits, hence the high cost of the fee. He later texted me that one of their managers could get one, as they have an account with the city. Unfortunately, I did not record the conversation, in order to provide further veracity to my review, but with what I was told during the phone conversation regarding a permit not being needed to replace the driveway, and several text messages we exchanged, I stand by my original review regarding the lie of the permit not being required.
