Pro Contractors Inc had a very professional presentation. The estimate was similar to what we got from other companies. Their Project Manager, Justin White, had some good suggestions for the new design and a good understanding of what we wanted to do. We chose them based on this and, although they were not on Angie's list, they showed BBB accreditation and Google had positive reviews on their work (at the time). Initial demolition happened around October 15th, 2009, within a week of us signing a contract. Justin White did this himself. Nothing happened for three weeks. After repeated calls, eventually Justin white came and completed the demo. After 2 weeks or so of repeated calls to Cully Wade and Justin White, a plumber came out and eventually replaced leaking plumbing. After another 2 weeks of continued calling, Cully wade claimed that Justin White had ditched the job and stolen money from the company. At this time he promised the job would be done by Christmas, nearly 6 weeks away. Eventually, some 2 weeks later, after continued calling, some guys came to install the glass block window. Pro contractors did absolutely no more work on our bathroom after this time and Cully became very unresponsive. About 2 weeks after that, Justin White called to tell us he was suing Cully Wade because Cully owed him $4,500. Eventually Cully called us back saying that his partner had swindled the company's savings and that he had no more money to do our job. In January, we met with Cully who said he could complete our job with the remaining balance of the contract, although he would not be making any profit at that rate. He said he would do this because he "wanted to keep his reputation". Because we were already knee deep in this situation, if he could finish the job, this would prevent us from losing more money by starting from scratch, so we took him up on his promise. This was contractual time for an additional payment toward the remaining balance. The following 6 weeks or so were spent by Cully Wade "searching for the materials". To his credit, the sinks that we chose initially were no longer in production, so we had to choose others. All materials were available at Home Depot on standard special order (2 weeks). He eventually purchased the 2 sinks, and the tub, a total of ~$1000 worth of materials. Eventually, Cully said he'd have to back out of the contract because all of his legal proceedings involving his subcontractors and his partner were beginning to take all his time. He recommended another contractor that he felt could probably finish the job, including materials, for the remaining balance on the contract -- $5000k. Although it was very difficult to get done, Cully eventually delivered the sink and tub to our home. In the end, Pro Contractors Inc vanished once the final materials were delivered. For $12,000, we received: demo, minor carpentry, installation of a glass block window, tub & sinks.
