Horrible! We found out that we weren't going to have funds available for the project, and BEFORE they even came to measure (but after the three day opt out), we called to cancel the project due to funding issues. They WOULD NOT BUDGE! Refused to let us out, regardless of no money paid and no action started. This is the worst customer service ever! We were strong armed into purchasing "something" so we wouldn't it wouldn't to into arbitration. Basically we were forced into a financial crisis because they have no empathy for customers. We were even threatened with them "dropping the windows on our front lawn". DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Would not recommend PHRG for any projects. Very expensive and did not honor their warranty or their verbal agreements. They improperly placed edge and roof vents on our home along with sloppy installation of raw sheet metal flashing, causing extensive damage to the interior and siding of our home. Despite many phone calls, several visits from their project managers, verbal agreements for them to make repairs, providing them with lab reports, remediation criteria and quotes, we became so ill from the toxic mold that we were left to repair all of the damage and acquire another replacement roof at our own expense. During their last scheduled appointment at our home in August 2021, under the pretense of them repairing the roof, Kevin and a helper showed up late and requested access to our attic once again for additional photos. This was his third visit for this particular issue but first visit to make repairs to the decking and removal of the vents. He proposed spraying our ceiling with bleach and painting over it with kilz. He admitted to previously receiving all of the emailed reports and quotes for repairs but not taking the time to read any of them. I was also informed by Kevin that it was too hot outside and they were not dressed appropriately to perform any roof repairs. He said we should contact them again after we had the proper mold remediation completed then left without making any repairs to our roof.

We had windows installed in our livingroom and kitchen. Within the first few hours of the windows being installed we could feel a major difference in the temperature of the house! And we couldn't hear the noise outside! The windows truly are game changers. Everyone that we met with was professional and friendly. Tyrese helped us with our initial order and he was awesome. He fully explained everything about the windows and the financing. We were going to go with only one room but after talking to Tyrese we decided to go with the kitchen as well. Tyrese was so easy to talk to and we felt totally comfortable asking him anything. We truly enjoyed our visit with him and felt great about our decision. Greg came out and inspected the job after it was complete. Greg was so helpful and took a lot of time going over details about the windows. We were so happy with the windows we ordered more for other rooms. Every Power employee we dealt with was exceptional! Would definitely recommend

I live in Dallas, TX, I placed an order for a value of $ 27000, about 22 windows and two doors. A couple of months after this purchase, two windows got damaged. I called the warranty department; they came and fixed the window; one of the windows is still defective. The front door originally was the wrong delivery. It was delivered in December 2019. They sent it back, and I waited for another 4 months about to receive the new door. I was told it was damaged in the factory and they had to reorder. It finally came. The door was missing the ocular part. They came back to install it. A couple of months later, the door handle broke. Again, I called to get it fixed. They came to fix it. Then last September, the batteries of the new door lock died. I called again, and this time, I was not nice anymore. I was tired of this door. I asked them why a new lock would need the battery changed within less than 6 months. I had a previous door with a better type of lock, the battery has been there for more than a year, and is still going. I realized they gave me a really cheap lock. Yesterday, as I was heading to work, I was unable to lock the door. The battery died again. It has been less than 2 months since they changed the battery. I called furiously and just wanted to door out. The guy I talked to was okay, but could not contain my anger. He told me I could not talk to a manager and had to call in the morning. I called this morning at 0800 AM and spoke switch a lady that was busy taking care of her home. She had me on mute and answering with the least amount of care. I have never had a company that comes to my house this much to fix their defective product instead of just changing it. It makes me doubt the quality of the product. The previous window is still defective, and now, I have a door that I cannot close because I never used the keys, and that was the point when I was purchasing this code entry door. I would not recommend this company. The salesman told me they were they are the only one to offer these windows. It is NOT true. I saw the same windows 6 years prior in Oklahoma. They offer you a warranty service, but who wants to be on the phone once a month about the same product being defective? I honestly regret my purchase, mostly when I consider how much I spent. I am scared that I will spend the rest of my life constantly calling them to fix something and something else. By the way, all this is without considering the wall damages they left behind. Find another company for your power windows.

Had a knock at my door last night. Very nice lady gave me the story about they were in the area doing work and decided to see if the neighbors needed any work done, blah, blah, blah. Went through the whole thing and decided to set up an appointment. Appointment was set for 7:30 pm. Talked to one guy on the phone and then a call back to confirm the appointment and not 5 mins later they called to cancel. This is the second time in the past 5 years that they have been to my home and pulled the same stunt. On top of all of that i live in an HOA with very strict and very well posted "No Solicitation" policy. I guess they don't care about the rules. i will never do business with this company, and it is a shame because i am planning on replacing the roof, siding, 4 doors, adding 2 french doors among other projects. Their loss!!!!!!

Took me for a lot of money. Had me convinced that my roof was going to fall in on me. Showed me a few pictures after going up in my attic and said they needed to do the work asap. Being afraid, and not knowing much about what needed to be done, I ended up agreeing to pay 4 times the amount of money that most people pay for replacing the shingles. They have no Quality Assurance/ Quality Control, no one was going to come out to check the work and so I had a friend go up in the attic and he said he couldn't see anything that they had told me about the framing falling down. I called them back and they nailed a few boards on the rafters and left. I insisted someone come out to check what they did and someone came out and told me that somethings should have been done that wasn't done and he would have them to come back out and do it right. Well they have never bothered to come back, I called and called and they would make appointments to come out and they would never show up. I am warning everyone that they are looking for elderly women that don't understand like me to take advantage of. They go through the neighborhoods looking for prey. Don't let them in your house! They told me that they were recommended by Angie's List, but beware!

Visit was a waste of my time. Got there number from Sams Club. Animated call to confirm appointment the day before. Given number to call. Called number and confirmed appointment. Got automated call the morning of appointment. Did not have phone and no message left. No one should up for appointment. Got automated call for 3 days. Finally answered and agreed to another appointment. Again automated call to confirm the day before. Called and confirmed. Sales rep shouted up and spent time getting to and my wife. Wife had to go, so he said we both should be there to discuss the windows. I explained I would make the decision and that I wanted 2 estimates. One for the back and sides (single paint) and front (double plane). I told him I had roll up storm shutters and plywood window covers and that I did not want impact resistant windows. He went on to measure the windows and then told me that they only sold impact resistant windows for TWIA Zone I areas. Told me they were $1800 each right now or $2000 each after today. Good bye. Enough time wasted.

"Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with Power. We apologize for any undue frustration or inconvenience, as we certainly do not intend to impart these feelings upon homeowners. It is our practice to involve all decision-makers in the initial in-home estimate to avoid any miscommunication further down the line. We do this because we respect all homeowners and never agree to a project unless all relevant parties are present. This practice stands regardless of a homeowner’s gender. We understand this can be an inconvenience to some, but by exercising due diligence on the front end of the project, we remove the possibility of miscommunication or mistakes deeper into the project. This ensures that all parties involved are comfortable and aware of what to expect as the project begins. Since coming across your review, we have asked your Regional Vice President to reach out to you to learn more about the specifics of your experience relative to the impact-resistant windows. Salesman knocked on my door and explained they were working on neighbors house and was checking with the neighbors if they needed work done. Since i am in the market to replace some windows i told him i would be interested in a quote to replace the windows in the house. I was informed that all home owners had to be present for the estimator to come out. This requirement is ridiculous, my significant other and I are too busy and both of us are more than capable of working with a service provider on a quote for a home improvement project. I will not do business with a service provider that dictates to me how they will or will not provide a quote.

"Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with Power. We apologize for any undue frustration or inconvenience, as we certainly do not intended to impart these feelings upon homeowners. When we install a project in a neighborhood, we will typically speak to other homeowners in that development. Many times they are familiar with the work being done, and given that homes in a development are built around the same time period, they often need work done as well. It is our practice to involve all decision makers in the initial in-home estimate to avoid any miscommunication further down the line. Unacceptable and extremely disappointed. Representative came to our home to provide estimate. Spoke with my wife (home owner) for an hour giving an unwanted sales pitch. Then, representative would not look at our project and provide estimate because I (husband) was not present; after giving the sales pitch, rep left without doing any work to provide an estimate. We were never told that both my wife and I had to be present. We wasted too many hours of our limited family time with this company. Wife also feels disrespected that the representative "walked" from our home without providing the estimate because she was a female although she is equal homeowner of our house. We have a family with soccer games, basketball, etc and we juggled our schedule for this appointment. I am very disappointed about the wasted time and lack of transparency.

Be aware that whoever you talk to is in an office that appears to be out of state. A visit for an estimate was arranged. I spoke with these people at least three times about the requested repairs - no apparent problem. Shortly before the man was supposed to arrive for the estimate, he calls and says "I'll replace your windows but I'm not going to repair anything." What a waste of my time after arranging to be available for the estimate. Just be aware of this so you don't waste YOUR time.

We apologize for any undue inconvenience or frustration, as we certainly do not intended to impart these feelings upon homeowners. We pride ourselves on creating only positive interactions with homeowners even if Power is not the best fit for their remodeling needs. The reason you were contacted by an out of state area code is due to our scheduling and confirmation department being located at our company’s headquarters outside of Philadelphia, however we have regional sales offices all across the country. In 27 years of business, we have never offered repair services for products we did not personally install. We instead offer premium replacement exterior remodeling services that we warranty, service and repair long after installation. After replying to a door to door salesman, my mother met with a representative for a quote on windows. The man was rude, and spent the entire time arguing about the condition of the roof and not addressing the windows. I would never hire a company like this for any project. He quoted $6000 for 5 small vinyl windows with only 2 color choices. Anyone who has researched windows would know that is highway robbery. Unbeknownst to Power, I have received multiple bids and this is not even in the realm of reality for an inferior product.

I am exceptionally pleased with Power Home Remodeling in Nashville TN. The sales process was long, however, it was thorough. And the sales person was a really great guy. The price was not the least expensive but I believe it was representative of the quality. The installation crew was on time and worked very very hard. They were very respectful of my home and very pleasant. They were conscientious of being sure everything worked properly and were of high quality. I can already tell the difference with the noise and efficiency of the windows. Thank you Power!

We needed a new roof and decided to go with Power Home Remodeling because they presented their proposal to us in a very convincing and professional way. It was more expensive than we were expecting but the end result is more than satisfactory. They arrived promptly and got right to work. In spite of a couple of delays that were not their fault, the job was completed in one day. I was very impressed by the efficiency of the workers. They were definitely a team. When he saw the condition of the eaves, the consultant decided to double the number of sheets of plywood for my job. A huge dumpster and all the materials were dropped off in my driveway the day before. The job went perfectly. They tarped around the house to catch the debris and did a good job of cleaning up afterwards. I was taking care of an old German shepherd and we worked out a system for them to stop throwing stuff so I could take her outside the many times she needed to go. Coincidentally, my next door neighbor got a roof the same day. I saw her with her foreman speaking to my foreman at least twice. She kept asking why she wasn't getting the materials that were going onto my roof. They removed an expensive solar attic fan and said I would not be needing it because of the ventilation in the design of the new roof. They were right; there was no difference in my electric bill for the following two months (August and September in Houston TX).

All I can think is that the Angie’s List positive recommendations for this company must’ve been created with false ID’s! Check Yelp! for one. But, go ahead and call these people if you don’t mind being held captive for a four and a half hour presentation about windows, high pressure 1970’s door to door salesman style pressure tactics where you have to argue with a nitwit about getting estimates from three vendors and why that’s smart business, “well, if that’s the way you want to do business!”. The sales guy was going to just put the total price on the back of his card. He was told a number of times that his presentation was running long. A statement he patently ignored. Clearly he was there for the duration to follow each and every step of his sales script and stay as long as necessary to get a signed contract. Who signs a contract for $27,000 for a 12 replacement windows on the spot without comparing vendors and prices???? These guys are willing to tell you anything to get a sale! The sales guy knew the sales script and not one more thing about windows or remodeling. Obnoxious AND an idiot! And, at the very last moment the guy says he’ll knock $4,000 off the price. Thanks but, no thanks. A sales rep is the first impression of a company and how they’ll do business. With that, I felt we escaped a price point and support nightmare! Be forewarned.

I made one sales appointment with them and they cancelled the day of the appointment when I didn’t return the confirmation call right away. The second appointment I took the day off of work to meet the salesman. They cancelled on me AGAIN because my wife couldn’t be there. They have an idiotic policy where both spouses must be present for a sales call. Even after all that, they still call me every month to try and set up another appointment! Why won’t they take my number off of the cold call list??
Response from Power Home Remodeling

"Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with Power. It is true that we require all decision makers to be present in the home at the time of the estimate. We understand that this can be inconvenient, but we find that it is the most effective way for us to begin a project. We want all parties involved to be comfortable and aware of what to expect in the process. As a company, we strive to do what's right for the customer as you are making the decision to trust a remodeler with your home, arguably your most precious possession. We have identified your profile in our system, and gone ahead and flagged your profile so you will no longer receive communications on the behalf of Power.
