My garage door spring broke on a Sunday with cars in the garage.  I was not able to open the door mechanically or manually.  Overhead door came out that day and replaced the spring.  I had to pay for a weekend call, but I had no other option.  I had some additional difficulty with the tensioner on the motor such that the door would open but the unit light kept flashing.   Overhead came back out and adjusted the motor settings and now everything works fine.

I highly recommend them.  The price was fair, and they came in right at their quote.  The service technician was on time and very professional.

I did not have a problem at all with the contract person in getting doors ordered.   The garage door installer, due to a mis-communication or contract facts of the installation had to come back a second time because certain guidelines were not followed due to hurricane specifications to get a WPI-8.  I live in an inland 1 area and certain guidelines had to be put in place before garage doors were hung so that I could pass inspection.  The second trip was better because it was done correctly.

They were very quick to complete the tune-up and then spent several minutes answering my questions and explaining my garage door opener.

I called the company when the door was not operating properly.  The repairman came as scheduled and done proptly.  The gentleman was friendly and professional.  The door makes a loud noise when it reaches the bottom.  I will call about that if it continues.

I called them prior to March 20th and told them I needed a new trolley assembly installed on a Chamberlain Liftmaster. I asked if they needed the model number and she said no. The technician called saying something about a Genie. I couldn't understand him very well because his English was hard to follow. Anyway, he didn't have the part because they put the wrong part on the truck. He said they would have to order the part and it would take another week to get it. Then he wanted $39.00 for the service call which I refused to pay for reasons stated above. Today March 28th I called to see what was happening with the part. At first she said I needed a new circuit board and then she said that since I didn't pay for the service call, they had closed the order. No phone call, no followup - just incompetence from the beginning of my interaction with them to the end.

The call was made and a date for repair was set.  The contact person called me with an approximate time (within 2 hours) and I ended up calling to find out when the repair person would be there as the afternoon almost ended.  He was later than promised but I did not mind as he was faced with a problem repair prior to mine and faced traffic.  (They figured in the 20% discount from being referred by Angie's List)  He repaired the garage door but it stopped working the next evening.  I called again and the contact person said it was on my repair paperwork that my "opener" needed replacing.  They priced a new opener and 2 remotes with the discount and set a date to do the work.  The repairman was on time for the second job.  That evening the garage door would just go up but nothing else.  So, a third time I called and they came out again as the sensor wiring came loose.  They did not charge anything for the third time out.  Now, my garage door is working fine.

We had a bit of a scramble the first time - the repairman's truck broke down and he called to advise me of the problem. Overhead called me back to reschedule the appointment - which I did two weeks later for the morning. I was a little disappointed that I was not his first appointment that day since I had made the appointment 2 weeks earlier - but he got there before noon and was completed before my next appointment that afternoon. The tech was very knowledgeable about garage doors and knew exactly what was wrong and repaired it.  It was quick and easy and he even gave me tips on what to look at in case something like this happened again. I'd use this company again and my only criticism is that I had to wait all morning for a 5 minute fix.

We first called on the weekend and left a message and never heard back.  We called the following Wednesday and they wanted to charge $39 to come out for an estimate.  No other garage door company we talked to asked for money just to come give an estimate.  We chose not to get the estimate because of this charge.

called up sales guy got a good deal, he threw in a surge protector ..every thing was good, except couple of guys who they sent to install units didnt even speak english, took over 2 hours to install (should have taken 30 min). other than that every thing was good.....

The technician was prompt, polite, professional and did all the work required in a very satisfactory manner.

When I called Overhead Door Company, someone answered the telephone and when I explained why I was calling the person asked me to please hold and someone would be right with me to give me a price for the service and schedule a time to perform the work.  After 5 minutes waiting on hold and no one answering the telephone, I hung up a called Southwest Garage Door Company.

They did a good job with the repairs, and I was definitely satisfied with the work.

They called before coming out to verify we were home and arrived right on time!  They did an excellent job of installing our garage door and opener!!
In addition, we asked them if it was possible to install an opener for an "existing" oversized garage door (even though the company who installed it said there was not enough room to install an opener).  So for years, we opened and closed this very large door by hand.  However, the Overhead Door Company of Houston's installer said it was not problem!  He installed it right then and there, and we have been very happy ever since.
They are a great company and we're getting ready to order three more small (one-car) garage doors from them.  I highly recommend them for their reasonable prices, professsionalism, and great workmanship!!

Previous homeowner had used this company.  They scheduled a service app't in two days, and the technician arrived as scheduled.  He accomplished the indicated repairs and everything seemed to be working. The door had been bent the week before, and I straightened it fairly well.  The technician advised that, if the door continued to buckle, it would need replacement.  The system worked correctly through several cycles, then buckled again under slight tension.  I then called my homeowner's warranty company to send out their contractor.

They did the work, but I have three complaints:
1. their system of not giving you an appointment time until the day of the service call is not convenient for customers
2. the technician called right before my appointment time and tried to reschedule for the next day, which I consider unprofessional (I was not scheduled for the end of the day)
3. they did NOT honor their Angies's List coupon, claiming that it was an installation, not service. If they had  honored their coupon instead of playing word games with me, they would have had a happy customer instead of an unhappy one. I pointed that out at the time but I guess having satisfied customers is not that important to them.

Great Phone service, they wre there that night. I wanted a certain type of opener and they had it installed the next day. Price was a little higher than expected, but craftsmanship was excellent. Installers did not speak good english, but did great work.

Called Monday morning early as garage door spring had broken over the weekend. They were completely booked on Monday, but said they would put me down for Tuesday. Both my husband and I work so I asked them if I could have a morning time as I had a afternoon meeting scheduled that would not allow me to be at home from 2-3 She said they could not confirm times until the morning of. So Tuesday morning I got a call that I returned within 30 min to schedule. Was told the only time they could come was between 2-4. Asked for another time and she said that was the only option until Thursday at which point they would call me Thursday morning to set the time. Aargh!!! Get the idea. I am sure this company does a fine job as their reviews attest, however unless you can clear your schedule or work around theirs day of it is probably not a good match for you as it was not for me. The woman I spoke to on the phone was just matter of fact and not particularly friendly or accommodating.

Their service was fine.  They were on time.  They were good.  The door is running great.  They were extremely responsive because I was getting late to go to town so I needed help immediately and they were able to help me immediately.

Original quote was given over phone for standard double car garage door.  When I measured it, our opening was a unique size.  This delayed the job by one week as a special door had to be ordered.  The installer showed up when promised, completely removed the old door and tracks, installed a new door and tracks, and made sure my garage door opener was working before he left.  A great experience.

I was satisfied with the work from start to finish. They did what they said they would do and in the time frame and for the price we discussed. I would certainly use this company again.
