Has been 10 months with no updates, no phone call... nothing. If the watch can not be fixed that is fine, but after stopping by twice to check up on it and finding no progress at all, I have pretty much written it off. Every time I stopped in, he did not seem organized, couldn't find the watch even though I had a numbered ticket and had made no progress. He told me everytime I stopped in that he would call to tell me yes, it can be fixed, or no, it can't. I will never take another watch or any other piece of jewelry to this place and will never recommend it to anyone else.

Clock runs and chimes; watches run and keep time.

I have used this establishment for two watch battery replacements - each costing a total of $5.00! Try finding that anywhere in Houston, especially at those and quot;quickand quot; watch repair kiosks in the malls. Mr. K does a quick and professional job. I haven't used him for anything but watch battery replacement but I wouldn't hesitate to have him work on any of my watches.

I had previously taken two watches to have the batteries replaced at a jeweler in the mall. The guy made an attempt on one and told me that Citizen had made a new battery cover that was easily damaged and that he didn't feel comfortable replacing the battery since it was an expensive watch. The other watch apparently had a difficult to remove backing and he didn't have the right tool. He had to send the watches to their repair shop and it would take about a week--okay, fair enough. I paid $10/each for the batteries and went on my way. A few days later I got a call stating that my $60 watch needed repairs, and that the Citizen required a and quot;mandatoryand quot; pressure test--grand total would be another $110. I said thanks, but no thanks and they returned the watches and refunded my money. I found Mr. K on Angie's and took the watches to him today. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes with two new batteries and operational watches--no expensive repairs, and only $10 total. He saved me $120!!

This shop is tucked away in an odd location, but when you walk in you know you're in the right place. Mr K is an old world craftsman, who knows exactly what he's doing. The titanium band on my watch was missing an attacment link and the holding pins would bend (had it repaired twice before at a mall jewelers). He told me he could replace the titanium link but that it would be expensive and hard to find. He offered to see if he had a close replacement for less. My watch only cost $175 and I didn't want to spend a fortune repairing it. The crystal lens was all scratched (quoted at mall jewlers at $80) and it needed a new battery. I left it with him and he ccalled to say it was ready 8 days later.
All work was performed as requested and the attachment link was fitted with STEEL pins to allow them to hold up better under hard use. The link was darn near a perfect match. The real surprise was when he told me the total was $30. I couldn't believe it. Fantastic work, fantastic price!
I have friends that trust him with their Omegas and Rolexs and the work he performs is truly top quality!

Stepping into Mr. K's shop is like stepping back in time. He's definitely an expert when it comes to timepieces. We dropped off the watch to have the battery replaced and get it professionally cleaned. We were able to pick it up the next day good as new.

He seems to be good. If he can't fix something he doesn't charge us. My husband had an old watch that he wanted to repair, he could never get the time right he kept it for months, but didn't charge us anything.
