Mr. Handyman of Central Houston

Did not go well. The office did give a time frame of when the handyman would come, but he did not give a courtesy call, he just showed up. We discussed the project and agreed to the time of 1 hour and with a set price, which I agreed to. The man did not offer to cover his shoes in my house, i had to ask him almost 3x when the hour started so I could keep track of the time, which i believe was a ploy to keep the time running without me knowing. Then when the hour was done it was time to pay, the cost was almost $30 dollars more, I asked for a itemized bill as it was my understanding the price would be different, and he acted like that was just the price and that i would get an email with the cost breakdown. I refused to pay until i saw in writing what i was being charged, my card also declined his square the first time and my bank thought it was fraud ( that should have been a clue something was wrong). i told him i would not pay until i knew how exact price was calculated. After short time, he got on the phone with his office, and they told him the cost was including supplies that were needed, but they had agreed to remove the additonal cost and it would be the original price $176. He was unapologetic, did not explain why until I asked what the problem was and why the cost was different. the worker had poor customer service skills, lack of communication skills. Although I was able to seen same day, it was a very negative experience. They need to learn to assure there customers of a trusting relationship, they did not do that. Be ware!
