The team arrived on time and packed my items well and efficiently. I had told the receptionist who initially took my phone call that I had a closet full of clothes and she said they would send boxes that the clothes would hang in. When I showed the boss the closet full of clothes, he said that they had not sent any boxes, but that he would bring the boxes and pack the clothes when they came back to move the boxes to storage. On Day 2, Moving Day, as they started loading the truck, I asked the boss about the clothes. He said they didn't know about any clothes, that I had not let them know I needed clothes to be moved. I realize that when you have a constant stream of customers, that one blends to another, and it might be hard to remember about the clothes, but I did not appreciate being blamed. I said I had told the receptionist who took my initial call and also had shown him the clothes and reminded him that he said he would pack them on the second day, but I didn't make a big fuss since my precious items were now in the movers' hands. He called another team to bring the clothes boxes, so we had to wait about 20 minutes extra for the boxes to arrive. When we went to the storage facility, he dropped one of the clothes boxes out of the truck; he said I didn't need it. The movers did a great job of moving my items into the storage facility. When all was done and I was ready to pay, he told me it was check or cash only. I guess this was my misunderstanding from the get-go. I wanted to pay with my credit card since we had had identity theft a few years back and our bank had told us that giving someone a check is like giving them access to our account. So we had to go back to my house, which is about 5 minutes from the storage facility. He said he would have to charge me an additional 30 minutes. So I paid for 20 minutes of waiting and for 30 minutes of 5 minutes of driving ... about an extra hour. Also, I believe he charged me for the box he dropped out of the truck, but I was too irritated and out of time to ask for a full explanation. Although I believe they did a quality job in packing and moving, the clothes issue (primarily, blaming me) and extra hour would make me hesitate to use them again. If it had not been for that, I would probably have given this company an A for quality work, even though I think the price is high.

I had packed all my breakable collectibles in advance- I wanted to know that if something of a certain level of value or sentiment broke, that it was my fault, not anyone elses. Everything that Max Movers moved arrived safely and in working condition. Because I was selling my home the day after the move, and purchasing a new home the very next day after that, Max Movers were wonderful about simply leaving all my belongings in their trucks for the 3 day period when I would be "homeless." They arrived at my new home the day after I closed on it and moved me in. I felt like Tinkerbell had thrown fairy dust on me- everything really went that seamlessly! Before you begin to plan your move, inquire with your homeowner's insurance policy about what coverage you have in a move. For me, it turned out that, because my insurance company was simply moving my coverage from one home to the next, I was never without coverage of my belongings(they give a 24 hour grace in these cases). I didn't need to take any additional insurance out. I know this isn't always the case, but it is worth checking out. There are some insurance companies who won't extend homeowner's to cover a move, but will provide moving coverage for a separate cost. It is worth comparing that coverage cost to what a mover will quote you.

They a great job. Showed up on time, got right to work. Was very careful with all our belongings. Very polite. Moved us in one day from Houston area to Marble Falls, tx. Very long day, but did not leave until they had unloaded the last thing!

We've used them more than once and they did a good job. They were prompt, very courteous about the job they were doing which I know wasn't a very fun job. They never complained, they were just very thorough in doing what they needed to do until the job was done.

Went very well. Showed up on time. Took good care of our possessions/furniture. Finished on time. Only issue was picking up boxes after the move. Indicated that they would do this, but charged time to travel/breakdown boxes.

As far as moving goes, it was a smooth experience. Max Movers made what is usually an unpleasant experience tolerable and as close to pleasant as possible. The packers arrived on-time, as promised, as did the movers. In total we dealt with 12 different employees (1 person to arrange the move, 5 packers and 6 movers) and they were all professional and polite. None of our belongings were damaged during packing or moving. I have used other movers in the past who cost as much and were neither as careful with our belongings nor as professional and polite. I encourage everyone I know to use Max Movers and I will always use them when I have the need to move.

They were on-time, courteous and very efficient. They charge by the number of guys needed to do the work and the time. I don't believe that they have a minimum charge, and they charged us in fifteen minute increments. They had to call in another guy to help, which bumped our labor charge a little...but it also saved time...so I think we came out ahead in the end. I would certainly use them again for an in-town move (or even to help me move furniture around my house).

Big furniture, nothing was damaged. Also took apart and put back together a modular office set. Good service.

Packers were on time and courteous. The moving crew was polite, courteous and careful. None of our things were damaged in any way. They charge by the hour;actual charges were below the original estimate. Our move date changed and they were accommodative.

They were careful when moving my possessions. I would recommend them, and would definitely hire them again. I have used them 2 other times. They put everything where it belonged, and not just piled in one room. There were no scratches or dings anywhere. They packed everything with extra care when they moved it for me.

Max Movers stuck to the original price on delivery, which impressed me. The company did a great job of moving us, and I really like that nothing was scratched nor broken. The workers put furniture where I asked them to put it, and were on time with their delivery. I can't remember the price.

Max Movers called me back immediately, and stopped by to give me an estimate. His prices were quite reasonable, and he told me he would move my furniture so I could vacuum and clean. The moving was scheduled immediately, and Max was on time. He moved all the furniture out of the way, and waited till I finished cleaning. He did such a good job, and he comes around when ever I need him.

CREW ARRIVED ON TIME FOR PICKUP AND DELIVERY. THEY WERE VERY CLEAN, POLITE, AND WORKED EFFICIENTLY. THEY USED LOTS OF FURNITURE PADS, AND THE LOAD WAS WELL SECURED. WE HAD NO DAMAGE TO OUR GOODS, OR TO THE HOUSE. ORIGINAL COST ESTIMATE WAS COMPETITIVE WITH OTHER MOVERS, ACTUAL COST CAME IN AT ABOUT 80% OF ORIGINAL ESTIMATE. WE WERE VERY PLEASED OVERALL.
