Long Point Pest Control

Was thorough and covered the whole property. However the rep was quick to show me that we had a very specific type of termite problem that was only fixable through 2 companies in the Houston area and wonder of wonders; they were one of the two and they could do it for $2800!
I wasn't impressed with that aspect but he did cover the property well and they came back for a free pest spray when we moved into the home, no questions asked.

We called to get an estimate. We were asked to remove items from under sinks The price seemed fair so we made an appointment.

Very careful installation and monitoring by on-site watchman during 36 hour period.  Informed us to stay out of house for an additional 24 hours. Gave detailed answers to our questions about follow-up (no major cleaning required).  Excellent results - every bug we have seen since has been thoroughly DEAD. Also a poor little frog who was apparently under the house.  Also two bushes which grew too close to the house to be excluded from the tent.

We originally contacted Long Point Pest Control several months ago to treat what we thought were wasp nests in our backyard. The technician thoroughly examined our yard and said there were no nests present. He suggested that the number of flying insects was related to the diversity of flowering shrubs in our yard. I was impressed that he did not simply spray our yard and send us a bill. He also removed a bee's nest from our front porch at no cost.
When we decide to do a general spraying for pests, Long Point were our first choice. In both instances the technician arrived when they said they would and were courteous and professional. Their price is very reasonable and we will likely use them on a quarterly basis.

Upon returning from a trip, we found a hallway filled with winged bugs.  Our home had been treated for termites before we purchased it, so our immediate reaction was that we were re-infested.  I checked Anglie's List and noticed Long Point and recognized the name from seeing their trucks in our neighborhood.  All the reviews were positive so I gave them a call.  I was pleased to hear that they could come out  the next morning.  I recieved a follow-up call that afternoon confirming my appointment.  The next morning, the technition arrived on time, (actually a bit early-bonus!), inspected my problem, and determined that I did not have termites.  To my surprise, after all that, there was no charge for coming out! 

After having another local pest company that does lots of advertising come out and evaluate what we thought were carpenter ants at my parents home and were told that we had both subterranean and dry wood termites.  John from Houston fumigation came out to evaluate the infestation and provide us with a quote.  He was extremely thorough, looked under the house, inside the house took samples of the dead bugs and to our amazement, he told us that the other company was wrong.  The house was not infested with Dry Wood termites, only the subterranean variety and then he didn't charge us for his time or his expertise.  I was extremely impressed and thankful for his honesty and his integrity.

Called them for estimate on termite extermination.  Provided great information on website  and were very responsive.  Three days later completed the work.  Crew was very professional.  Would do business again.

We woke up this morning to find some suspicious droppings in several rooms of our house - kitchen, living room, down the stairs, and into our first floor bedroom. Although we were hoping it was mud from someone's shoes, we more or less knew this was unlikely and called to have someone come out and investigate ASAP. Long Point was able to have someone out to our home within two hours and even showed up earlier than expected. Raul was great. He investigated where we noted the droppings and looked everywhere else too to make sure he understood the situation. He provided us with some traps and bait boxes, which will hopefully solve the problem. The price was reasonable, and the service was quick and professional.

Everyone I worked with from the person who answered the phone when I called for an appointment to the people who applied the treatment were very professional.  They came at the alloted time and gave an honest estimate and did a great job doing the work.
I had several questions regarding the chemicals and the office was very polite and took time to explain everything to me in great detail which I appreciated.

We thought that the problem had been taken care of but a few weeks later we found out the bats had found a way in to the firewall on the other side of the townhouse. Not having dealt with this problem before I should have asked more questions but felt that this looked like the only entry point. Also the wildlife foam may be effective but does not look very nice on the outside of our house.

I contacted Long Point to get an estimate on termite treattment for our house.  An apppoitnment with an inspector was available for 8 am the next business day.  The inspector arrived precisely on time, inspected the exterior and interior of the house for signs of termites, and left us with an estimated cost.  We were left with literature about the treatment chemical that would be used which provided some very useful information.    Due to some other events going on at our house we had a need to schedule the treatment as soon as possible.  This made it dfficult for us to do a comprehensive price comparison which is why we gave an N/A rating in that category.  It took several phone calls before we succeeded in talking to someone who set up an appointment for treatment.  For this reason, we rated the experience B in responsiveness.   On the appointed day, the treatment team arrived within 10 minutes of the appointed time.  The technician explained what they would be doing and how long it would take to complete the work.  The work was completed within the estimated time.  The technician then took me around the house and explained what was done where.  He also explained that the treatment was goof for perhaps 10 years and that we should have annual inspections to ensure that there are no problems with termites.  This was overall a very satisfactory experience and I would definitely use this company again.

ong Point has been taking care of my house for many years handling standard pest control as well as termite protection. The same person, Ed, comes out every quarter and remembers if there were any issues from a prior time. Great service! Very responsive and responsible. I trust having them in my house as well as protecting it.

Mike examined our area of concern and quickly determined we did not have temites but ants.  While no service was necessary, he was very helpful in pointing out things we could do to help keep pests from being a problem in the future.  I was impressed by his professionalism as well as his demonstrable knowledge.  Because of my favorable impression I would definitely use them in the future, as well as recommend them to friends.

They were also very sensitive to our concerns about safety for the baby. He sprayed more lightly in areas when the baby plays and in his nursery (I think just the corners instead of all along the baseboards). 
No weevils -- or any other bugs -- now. Very happy.

We heard a noise in the wall one evening and called Long Point to investigate and treat if necessary. Junior came out, looked throughout the attic and the outside perimeter of the house and concluded we may have rodents. He recommended their rodent exclusion program which involved sealing all possible points of access to the house (places I had not considered) and setting traps.
A three man crew came later in the week and accomplised all the work in 3-4 hours. Per the program, Junior would be comimg back to check traps and to address any problems that may have come up. On one of his subsequent visits Junior found a trap had caught a rodent and he disposed of it. No more noises oe evidence of other rodents. The program is good for a year and will assure peace of mind.

I'm selling my house, and the buyer's inspector noted that he found evidence of rodents in my attic.  So I called a couple exterminators to get quotes for trapping and removing them and finding and sealing the entrance point(s).  Long Point Pest Control was the cheaper of the quotes I got (plus they had an Angie's List coupon), they're local to me, and their employees were very professional and helpful on the phone, so I gave them a shot.  The technician they sent out was very knowledgeable and informed me that he thought it was probably rats, and showed me the one hole he found where he suspected they got in.  The other company I got a quote from, my usual exterminators, said they didn't find any evidence and also didn't find the same hole.  So I scheduled Long Point to come out and seal up the hole, which the technician showed me when he was done, and he set the traps.  After a week, he came back to check them, and fortunately there was nothing in them.  He suspected that the critter wasn't home at the time the hole was sealed up.  He was punctual, friendly, and knows his stuff, and I will be giving the buyer this company's information so that he can have them come check the traps again if he wants.

I called and set up an appointment. The tech arrived when they the said he would be there. He was courteous and professional. He inspected the house, told us what needed to be done and how much it would cost. He did the job quickly and thoroughly.

The service is always done well. Devin, the gentleman who performs these regular services, is always very punctual, polite and does a thorough job....and he likes our lab and vice versa (which is always a plus for me, as I believe dogs are a good judge of character)! Recently, we had a small squirrel problem (the problem was small, the squirrels were not). Devin gave good advice and offered to fill a hole created by the squirrels...and did it free of charge! Wow, it's almost like he wants our business! Imagine that!
