I called to see if they would do single-pane replacement on my old aluminum windows. He asked where I lived and referred me to another glass company close by (also Angie's List "A" rated). He mentioned on the phone that he'd be happy to fix my window if the guy closer by couldn't.
Amazing customer service, and I will be thinking of them next time someone closer needs window repairs or replacement!

After removing one of the windows, Lee found severe water damage that was well outside the scope of his proposal.   Lee took care of the problem and spent several extra hours ensuring that the job was done correctly.

The windows look great and they do not leak one bit.

The guy eventually came out and looked at the scope of work, and then just never pulled it together to get back to me with even an estimate. There were all sorts of 'discractions' which seemed to keep him from getting back. and finally I just stopped calling him.

Mr. Lee of Lone Star Windows arrived on time and was reasonably priced. I was very satisfied and will notify him in the future when needed.

Had a little trouble scheduling with them in the beginning. Tech was friendly seemed to replace it successfully, in spite of the fact that the window was no longer square.  Having lost my job days prior to the window repair, I was pretty frustrated that I forgot to give him the Angie's List 10% off coupon that was on my fridge while he was there. I could have saved $20.

Had to wait a bit as all of the windows were custom made, but the results were definitely worth the wait.  It was all done in one day.  The installer came with a crew of 3 other men, and while I was not there to witness it myself, my renter told me that they were quick, courteous, and conscientious about their work.

Perfectly! A leaking window, part of which had been installed by Gulf Coast Windows was ruining a wooden floor. After having a horrible experience with GCW, I called on Lone Star Windows who both underbid and outperformed their competitor.

I am completely sold on Lone Star and its President, Lee Friedrichs.

Once again, this is an Property Owners Association protected subdivision, so pre-approval is necessary before any outdoor improvements are made. This is the second time I have hired Lone Star Windows to do work for me, once years ago for a home in the Heights. Lee Friedrichs is the owner and he will come out and take measurements personally. He is a very low key salesperson and out of all the other window companies I had come out to give estimates he does not do the old high-pressure tactic of "If you sign today, you get an extra 20% off!!!" I absolutely ABHORE companies who do that to me and refuse to do business with any of them. Just help me get what I want and need and give me your best price. Initially I wanted to replace a lot of other windows in the house, and I took a lot of his time giving me estimates for stuff I never had done, but he never complained down the road. These particular windows had to match the old and they had to be in a color that matched the house. Their showroom is just down the road from this particular house, so it was very convenient for me to meet with Lee and see all the various options he had to offer. He had the necessary brochures I needed to submit to the POA for approval. I found cheaper companies, but no selection of color, and I found more expensive companies that tried to talk me into high-end windows that belong in River Oaks, but not this working class subdivision. Still, these were pricey windows, but they were special order and it took a month for them to arrive. The installer he sent tore out the old windows, and put in the new just fine. Cleaned up the mess so there was no broken glass laying around either. At the end of the day, they looked great and really gave the front of the house just that little bit of extra "curb appeal" it needed. Thanks Lee for the great job!

Lee Friedreich discussed his windows and proper installation. Came our and gave estimate on time, neat, efficient and did a great job! Quality job at a competitive price.

All the workmen were very qualified and careful during the removal and installation of the new windows. They did what they said they would when they said they  would do it. I would recommend this company to all my friends.

The quotation process was vary easy.  Lee, the company owner, arrived on time for an appointment that was setup to be convenient for me.  Lee is very personable and I was comfortable allowing him into my home.  He was very knowledgable regarding his product as well as the process for installation.  His quotation process was very systematic and if I remember correctly, he was able to give me a ball park quote immediately.  The final quote was delivered within a couple of days.
I wasn't present during the installations, but the finished product looked great.  The only problem we had was that one of the alarm contacts wasn't working correctly and we were unable to set the alarm.  I called Lee and he personally stopped by, on the same evening, to resolve the problem.
All in, I was very happy with the service and the product.  Quality windows aren't cheap, but Lone Star has very competitive pricing and delivers a solid, quality product.
Highly recommend Lone Star both for the value they deliver and the character of the company.

The experience was fantastic from start to finish. The whole thing was extremely professional and friendly - from talking to Pat on the phone to schedule an appointment, then Lee's visit to talk with us about options and measure, to James and Joe installing the whole shebang, then Lee's follow-up visit. We wanted a window that wasn't yet in production, so there was a little bit of a wait, but Pat was great about keeping us informed. Lee is extremely knowledgeable and easy to deal with - no hard sell at like, unlike so many of the other people we talked to - and the installers were friendly and professional. We have lots more windows to replace, and I will definitely go back to Lone Star when the time comes. I'm really picky about who I let into my house, and that's especially true when there's a multi-day installation I can't stick around for. I never had any uncertainty about these guys. Highly recommend.
