K & S HARDWOOD FLOORS

This is the second time I have used Fabio Hamlin (K & S Wood Floors) to strip and refinish flooring. Both times I have been very, very pleased with the results. The first job was done one year ago and still looks great (I know that is not a long time, but...) I am so pleased to have the section of damaged flooring replaced, and you cannot tell what is new and what is old wood (my house was built in 1928). Fabio is very pleasant to deal with, knowledgeable, reliable. Only difficulty is getting him on the phone. Call after 5 p.m. He does not return phone messages well, but he always shows up on time. We plan to use him again.

One week after they were finished and I had paid them in full for their work, my wood floors separated from the slab. They put polyurethane on the floors without questioning the age of the house, whether there was a moisture barrier underneath the house to prevent moisture from raising and so on and so forth. I was ignorant of how to treat floors and relied on the supposed expertise of this company. Not only did they lack in expertise, they lied to me about coming out to meet and address the consequences of their work and they stopped answering my calls altogether. I considered such attitude unprofessional and downright offensive. I hope my experience will show others that this company is not responsible and does not guarantee their work. You might find that after you pay them hundreds of dollars to destroy your floor, you'll have to pay hundreds more to even have a floor. Who would want that experience?

PRICE WAS REASONABLE. SERVICE WAS GOOD AND EVERYONE WAS NICE.
