Serviceman didn’t know anything about our cooktop. Had to look up manual on internet for him. He told us we might need to buy a new cooktop, charged us $60 for service call and left

Our Sub Zero refrigerator went out after two years. Kand N came out hours after we called them. They informed us of the recall on our model and brought the appropriate parts. They came out, replaced the recalled parts and everything was working again. No charge for the call.

We bought a home in West U. The inspection showed broken ice maker in
Subzero fridg. The sellers had it repaired by these guys on June 24,
2013. After closing in mid July we moved in July 31 and as ice was used
we soon learned the ice maker was not working. We called them and they
were completely rude on phone and refused to return to repair it because
they said their warranty was only good for 4 weeks and we were 5 weeks
out. Sellers paid them $178 for a $19 part. I would not recommend these
guys and apparently other reviews found on google are also negative.

My Bosch dishwasher wasn't draining, so after determining it wasn't a clogged hose, I looked for a company that could provide service. I did call another company first that wouldn't service my dishwasher brand, but K and N was a Bosch repair outfit with good reviews so I called them. I called on a Monday and said it was no emergency, but they were able to get me an appointment already on Wednesday. The service person was on-time and very professional. It ended up not being an issue with the dishwasher at all, but a small clog in the air gap. The actual fix only took a minute, but the service person took time to explain how it works and how to prevent the same issue in the future. I was very pleased with the work provide and would use this company again.

My 10 year old Bosch washing machine stopped turning. They came out and diagnosed it as a blown motor. One of the things I had anticipated. They ordered the part and installed it one week later. The serviceman was very professional and told us that we should be good for many years to come.

The technician they sent is really outstanding. He took the time to explain the repair to me, and I could swear the washer works better now than we first bought it. The only problem I have with this company is that one has to wait a LONG time for service. For both visits, I spoke to them on a Monday, and they couldn't come out until the following Friday. But I stuck with them, because they are one of only 5 service providers in Houston listed on Bosch's website. The others got very poor ratings from Angie's list.

Thermador referred them as a service company for their recall. The team came and removed my double-oven, checked the insulation, and then returned it to the wall with no updates. After that, the door started popping open when the over would get above 300 degrees in temperature. I called them back to see if their service could have impacted that. They said that it did not, but that they could replace the hinges. They came out a few weeks afterwards and took the oven out before realizing that they had the wrong hinge kit. They waited for more than hour for the correct hinge kit to be brought to the house and then installed it. They did not turn on the oven to check the problem, but validated that the hinges opened and shut correctly. Due to our recent move and the reality of life with small children, we did not use the oven for two months. Once we did, the same exact issue was still occurring. After the oven hit 300, the door would not stay closed. I called the office and was told that because it was more than 30 days since the service repair, they would have to charge the service fee of $75 to come out. My husband called again and the fee was waived, but they insisted that they would charge $125 to replace the hinges. Frankly, if the hinges were installed correctly, how would they not work the very first time that they were used? I very nicely (I promise) asked this question and the owner got very rude about it and told me to find another company to service my oven. The service technicians did not start the oven after they serviced it the first time, so now I have spent over $200 with no fix to my problem.

Overall very positive experience. I called on Tuesday and they were not able to send anyone until Friday,but they arrived on the date and at the time promised. The person performing the repairs appeared very knowledgable and was very courteous. I would use the company again.

9 year old gas cooktop. One of the burners didn't work several years ago, while the product was still under warranty. I called Thermador for an authorized repair facility in my area, and was referred to K and N. They did a great job then, so I called them again for this similar problem (different burner). Walter called me this morning to say he would be here between 1 and 3 pm. He came about 1:30, and quickly diagnosed the problem as a broken switch. I also told him one of the other burners had an uneven flame, and when he was taking the cooktop cover off, he found a screw underneath that was causing that problem. One of the other burner caps was missing a screw, so this solved 2 problems. Walter replaced the broken switch quickly, and put the unit back together in about 15 minutes. Great experience!

The actual service people are quite polite and helpful. The office staff, on a good day, is clueless. Same for the parts department. I had to keep calling them back to see about the status of a part, and lo and behold, the part "just arrived that day." Any contact with their office staff or part department will result in a great deal of confusion.

I called Thermador for registered Thermador repair shops in Houston, and Kand N was located in my neighborhood. Kand N was also recommended to my by another Angies List top evaluated Large Appliance Repair Shop that did not service Thermador products. Service call was made and appointment confirmed within the same business week. Telephone service operator was friendly and helpful. Technician called earlier on the morning with an estimated arrival time and showed up at the time he confirmed. Service tech was friendly, courteous, and fully explained the problems he diagnosed with both appliances. He informed me of the costs/benefits of repair of my Thermador Convection Double Oven and I elected not to pursue repairs that may or may not work on an oven for which replacement parts were no longer made due to age of the appliance. We proceeded with repairs to Thermador gas cook top. Tech had all necessary parts in his van and the service was done quickly and efficiently. Tech repaired possibly faulty components in series, then tested system to see if each repair had solved the problems. This approach saved me a few hundred dollars in potential parts cost over just replacing all components that could have been cause of problem. Kand N offered parts and labor warranty. Cook top has worked perfectly since repair and I will use Kand N in (hopefully distant!) future for any Thermador cook top or other large appliance needs. A positive experience.

Tech arrived as scheduled. Inspected the Thermador oven and stated the LCD display unit needs to be changed. He quoted $515 for the unit plus labor. Seems a little high but better than buying new. Finished in about an hour and tested everything to make sure the oven works. Overall service is good but price can be better.

When the owner came out to do the repairs he was rude and curt so I refused to have the work done. Within an hour his office called and offered to do the work for the price of parts only. I think he was having a bad day and he regretted being so short with me. I was very pleased that they had made this generous offer. They came out the next day and completed the work; they were professional and courteous. My refrigerator works very well now. I would defiantly use them again!

I called at 8 a.m. because both my freezer and refrigerator (a very old subzero) were not working at all and my food was compromised. By 10 AM., I received a call that the repairman was on the way. David arrived around 10:30 and was through by 11. He was extremely professional, very pleasant, and got the job done quickly. I could not be more pleased with their timely response and service. I would definitely recommend K and N and will use them again in the future.

Kand N Appliance took my call quickly and came by to fix my oven thats under warranty. The repair was scheduled immediately, and the technician was on time. It was just something minor, but now it works great. They did an excellent job and were very polite and considerate.
