We do everything with one concept in mind. "Excellence in Landscaping" We are trying to set as new standard for this profession and provide excellent design, landscape implementation and customer service which is what I feel is one of the most important aspects of a company. We have been Angie’s List Super Service Awards starting in 2013 and for 7 consecutive years. We have won the 2012, 2013,2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020- "Talk of the Town", Best Customer Satisfaction award. “Pulse of the City News Award” for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction in 2018,2019 and 2020. "We certainly understand your frustration and apologize for any inconvenience. Our appointment setter tried several times to call you back to get your address and confirm your appointment, but the call back number provided would not allow for voicemail. We did not have a confirmed appointment with you. J.B. Landscape and Design has many happy customers across Houston who will attest to our excellent level of service and commitment."
His crew came on the agreed upon date and tore out all the old plantings, which were quite overgrown, and prepared the soil for the new plants. They cleaned up the debris and hauled it away. They came back in a couple of days and put in the new plants and checked the irrigation. John was with them much of the time. He is definitely a hands-on supervisor.
We had to wait a couple of weeks for the sod because of the rainy weather, but John kept me informed.
I plan to use J.B. Landscape on a quarterly basis to replace annuals, trim the shrubs, and fertilize if necessary.

"Hi there [member name removed], So sorry about the mix-up but after are initial meeting I sent a text message asking for any sort of budget you might of had. I had the entire design for the front yard completed already and was just waiting to hear back from you budget wise. Obviously, you never received the message And I assumed you had found another company. We receive so many calls and sometimes it is hard to follow up call wise. These designs and sketches take time and I did not want to waste your time if this was going to be a too extensive of a design for the front and back. I have had this happened before and usually the homeowner will call back and see about how here design is coming along. Since I did not receive a call back, I was under the impression you had found another company already. Accept our apologies. Thanks, Jon"

The second bidder supplied a beautiful design but was way too high for the work we needed. I sent an email thanking him. I told him we loved the design and liked him. I told him the bid was too high. He never followed up to discuss a lesser plan. I would think a lesser job is better than no job; but, perhaps we just had jobs too small for his company.
Jon with J. B. Landscape also gave us a wonderful proposal; but, it too was way beyond what we wanted. I made a suggestion of a lesser plan and Jon immediately responded with a more "toned down" plan for my yard and for my neighbor's yard. He insisted on presenting his proposals in person and was very open to discussing all alternatives. His professionalism and customer-relation skills made our decision. We accepted the new bids right away.
Jon and his crew showed up on time and worked every second of the day to finish the job. Each crew member was professionally attired, polite, clean, and knowledgeable in his duties. Jon worked along with the crew and watched every detail. Even though they were very busy, Jon never hesitated to stop and answer our questions. At the end of the job, Jon and his crew cleaned everything down to the littlest leaf.
The finished yards are beautiful! We can not be more pleased. I highly recommend J. B. Design Inc. for all of your landscape design needs both big and small. This group wins my vote and I hope other members of Angie's List will give them a chance to beautify your yard as well.
