I selected Irrigation Design Services because of the number and quality of recent reviews. Michael responded to my Angie's List message within 2 days.  He said he could get a technician out that afternoon or the next.  In fact, he called and said the previous job had finished early and he could get the tech here even sooner.  He told me the techs name and how long it would be before they got here.  They arrived right on time, assessed the problem, got right to work.  They dug a hole, located and  repaired the leak and filled the hole back in  beautifully. They checked out the whole system and replaced only the heads that were malfunctioning.  They were expedient, professional and extremely personable. The work was done well at reasonable price and they did not try to sell us any extra services.  We are extremely pleased and will use them again.

I called and that came that day.  So friendly and helpful.  Verified that i did not have a leak, but the spinkler timer was misset.  Reset the complicated sprinkler timer.

The overall job went very well. The company (Michael Carrizales) was very responsive to my phone message and called back in very short order. The company came out as scheduled, on-time and provided me with an estimate. At that time, they were willing to complete job - very helpful since during the summer you want your sprinkler system working! As it was late in the day on Friday and there was additional repairs identified, they had to complete the work the following day. The timing was fine with me and I was pleased it would not be put off until the following week as I was traveling out of town.

Tim and his assistant showed up right on schedule. This was a nice change, to have a service provider in the Houston area schedule a work time and then actually show up at the time they promised. They were very professional, did the repair quickly, checked out the rest of the lawn sprinkler system and were on their way in less than an hour. Charge of $100 was very reasonable, considering that it would have taken me much time and effort to figure out how to complete the repair myself.

This is the second time that we have used this company to repair our sprinkler system.  They are very thorough in explaining the problems (like the tree roots that damaged the pipe) and are very forthcoming about what needs to be done.  I like that they showed us the problem and explained how they were going to fix it. They adjusted many of our sprinkler heads so we are no longer watering the street or our neighbors lawn.  They also fixed some other heads so that we have better coverage without having to add new lines.  Once all the work was done, which took a few hours, the price was a lot lower than we had anticipated for all the work that we had them do, which included a brand new control box to replace the outdated one that came with it.

Michael responded quickly to my first contact.  By the end of that same day Lee had been here and taken care of our problems. 
They provided quick proffessional service.  I would use them again.

They were on time.,professional and did quality work.  My sprinkler system was put in by a really bad provider and was leaking and not working well.  He found the valve that was leaking and repaired that.  He relocated two front sprinkler heads so that they would provide better coverage.  I also asked for an estimate on redesigning the back yard sprinklers and he provided that for me.  I plan to have that work done in the near future.  I also used the coupon from Angie's list and got 10% off of the cost of $165.00.

Michael and crew arrived and quickly tuned-up my system, all repairs were made to my satisfaction. I would recommend and use this service company again.

Michael and team were extremely professional, punctual, thorough and quick in their work. The manager on site was very professional and helpful. They explained to us some other issues that were going on with our foundation that they noticed and even met with another company we were working with to show these foundation issues directly to them.
They placed the grass back exactly where it was dug up and it has quickly grown back except in areas that are highly shaded. We're working to get this area addressed. Michael also worked with us on price honoring the Angie's List coupon to bring his price in line with the competition. 
Michael is always reachable which was a huge relief compare to many of the other irrigation companies I looked into where you're stuck going through their corporate office only to leave a voicemail and wait a few days to hear back. Irrigation Design Services' warranty is one of the better ones at 3 years as well. We do have one issue with a sprinkler head but I'm working with Michael to get it resolved. If the repair / warranty follows through as well as the initial service and installation I would have almost zero complaints.

This is a very professional company. These guys really know their stuff. Scheduling was very convenient and friendly. As soon as they pulled up in my driveway, they were interrupted by the lawn mowing guy (who showed up with no prior notice). Michael was able to professionally deal with the situation and orchestrated the scenario very well so that I didn't have to send the guy off. They immediately started working on the leak, discovered another major leak, and thoroughly checked and tuned everything else. Honestly, as they worked, I thought I was going to pay a fortune! The pricing was more than reasonable for the work done. They're the people you want to call.

These guys scheduled us within a few days of calling and arrived promptly. They were very knowledgeable about various water/sprinkler systems and took the time to explain the issues and various options associated with each remedial action. They fixed the initial problem and alerted us to another issue with our water sensor. They weren't pushy, but simply wanted to put us on notice. They are responsive, reasonably priced and more importantly, deliver quality work. Very professional and highly recommended.

I knew that I had a broken head in one zone but hadn't looked at it in quite some time so I wanted it thoroughly checked out and fixed if necessary. Michael and his associate came out and tested each zone and found a line with a hole in it.  They knew I had a broken line because the water pooled in the area of the broken line so they dug the area up and showed me a hole in the line.  They repaired that line and the broken head that I knew about and then set my controller to water twice a week as I requested.  They were polite, punctual, and reasonably priced.

Michael came and walked the property, explaining all components and a description of the work, prior to submitting a written proposal.  He asked that I research our water well capacity to ensure that it would work seamlessly with the irrigation system and report back to him.  A time frame was established for the work to be performed.  The crew arrived as scheduled and installed the system in 2 days.  The 3 year warranty and professionalism of all involved are key factors in my recommendation.

Don't call anyone else. This guy is the best.
For a year I have had trouble with the sprinkler control. This was the third company to work on the system. It was simple:  I needed the correct information to set the controls. Michael could have sold me a new control like another company wanted to do. Instead he analyzed the system stations, the yard needs, and set the system for my new landscaping. Then he took the time to explain details and features of the control so it would be correct from now on.

During extensive foundation work, several water leaks were noted; the foundation workers stated that the sprinkler system was damaged. I spoke with Mike at Irrigation Design Systems on Saturday. Our appointment was for Monday, between 8:00 and 12:00. Lee and another worker arrived at 8:30. Lee called to inform me they were on their way. We expected major repairs and possibly total replacement. After inspecting the system, Lee stated that only one section was damaged. They replaced that section and adjusted sprinkler heads. Both men were friendly and polite. I am extremely impressed with the honesty and professionalism of this company and will definitely recommend them to friends and neighbors! These two guys were great fixed everything in no time and cleaned up after themselves will use the again for sure.

Irrigation Design Services came out and checked the sprinkler system at a home we just purchased.  They repaired a couple of broken heads, a broken valve, a couple of leaks, and adjusted all the heads and rotors.  Very reasonable cost.

The technicians and an assistant arrived earlier than the scheduled time. They did a good job replacing the old broken back flow unit. They also checked and adjusted the sprinkler system. All done within one hour. They charged a lower fee per hour than Southwestern Irrigation (another A-rated sprinkler company on Angie's list). 

It went very well. I was impressed that they did not try to push unnecessary services on me. Only did what was required. They didn't balk when I asked for a couple of extra things. Did an excellant job showing how to use the control panel.
