I did not have good luck with that at all. The guy’s name was Alex Tamayo. He started the work, got paid, postponed some of the work, and did not finish the work. After that I was leery of Angie’s List because he was rated well on Angie’s List. I had to get people to complete his work. It really cost me some money. It was really a bad experience. He started the work. He was paid for the work, and one day, he just did not show up. I called and I called and I called. My thing was after I completed the work. I intended to get a lawyer and sue him, but I have not made that step yet. He is not a good contractor. The price was a decent price I thought. The work he did had to be redone. They told you would be going to be here at 8 and they may come at 10 or 11. They were not punctual at all. I felt like that they could have responded a little bit better in coming back out in doing the work they were paid for. I would not use them again in the future and I would not ask anybody to. I would not recommend them.

It went horrible! The total price of the renovation was $9,000.00 to remodel the bathroom, which included providing insulation, floating and painting the sheetrock, providing and installing a vanity, the sinks, the mirrors over the sinks,  the fixtures for the sinks, the commode, the light fixtures, and building a shower.  The contractor began work in February 2013, after I paid him 40% of the total cost , which was $3,600 up front.   Two weeks later, I paid him an additional  $3,200.  I also gave one of his workers my garage door opener so that he and/or his workers would have access to my home without my having to leave work on days that they were working on the bathroom.  He and his workers worked randomly through the first week of May.  I tried contacting him several times by cell phone, by text messaging and by calling his office phone, all of which he failed to answer.  I was finally able to meet with him on or about June 3rd, and at that time he stated tha the had been busy working on other jobs and had not had the time to call me or respond to any of the messages that I had left with him.  He also stated that he needed to draft and I needed to sign an additional contract for additional charges that he was going to charge me.  This is the last conversation that I had with this contractor.  He has refused to respond to any correspondences from me.  I have filed in small claims court, with the attorney general's office, with the Better Business Bureau and with the Texas State Department of Licensing.  This contractor has my money, but he has not met the terms of the signed contract.  He just collected money from me and disappeared.   My bathroom has not been operable since January 2013.
