I would not recommend the Garage Door Doctor to anyone. I was told the technician would provide an estimate for a $59 site visit fee. However, the technician, Cecil, came and gave me an estimate of $442.50 without performing any work. He then claimed the garage door needed to be replaced for $6,500, including the garage door opener. When I told him I would get a second quote before replacing the door, he suddenly stated that the garage door could be fixed and that the motor needed to be replaced, for which he would charge $1,500. In the end, I paid $442.50 without getting the door fixed. Stay away from this company!

I asked for an estimate on spring replacement. But decided to go with the whole system replacement and roller replacement. The original rollers and system were from the original home builder in 1997. Isaiah called before he arrived and gave an estimated time of arrival. He arrived on time and was very courteous and professional the whole time. He provided several options. I went ahead and decided to replace the whole system and he was ready to install the system the same day. Isaiah was very customer service oriented and answered all questions as well as provided explanation and description of all options avaliable in the new system. He walked me through how everything and I was very comfortable with the knowledge he left me with operating the garage door and all the bells and whistles that came with the new system. If there are any friends and family that ask me about a garage door repair/install, I will definitely be referring Garage Door Doctor. Their office and field staff communicate very well and are very professional. We really appreciate everything this company has provided and will refer you all to anyone who asks.

Isaiah came out in the late afternoon and was able to fish a wire out and open the doors. He reprogrammed the remotes, checked everything out, and told us how to avoid that particular problem in the future. I am so glad to have discovered this company on Angi and heartily recommend Garage Door Doctor to all those who have garage door problems.

They were great. They replaced our garage door opener with a much quieter and wi-fi enabled garage door opener several years ago. I called them last minute when another garage door company failed to show for their install appt and Garage Door Doctor came out the same day to install my opener. They took the time to explain how to operate the new opener since I'm not very tech savvy. This was my 1st time using them and I plan to use them from now on.

After reading reviews, I called Garage Door Doctor to ask if they could do something about my two 1/2 hP garage door openers that were builder-installed in 2012 and wake up the entire neighborhood when they are installed. I was pleasantly surprised to hear they could come out that day. Cody was great, he looked at everything, walked me through the various components, and explained several options for me. Zero pressure. Cody started by suggesting we could just replace one if I wanted, since we only plan to park in half the garage, gave me a range of choices and explained the pros/cons. I had both replaced and the door rollers swapped to nylon. Cody's partner arrived and they took about 2 hours to replace everything. They spent lots of time explaining the system, showing me how it works and what I should do to maintain it, programmed the remotes, installed the outdoor control panel, and even programmed my car for me and helped me set up the app on my phone. They were awesome and I'm very glad that I saw the reviews and called them.

The rep on the phone said dual springs needed to be replaced in pairs and the repair would cost $275. When the tech arrived (Marcos I think), he did try and up sell me to a higher quality set of springs for $375 with the comment the standard springs should last 6-7 years with normal use and the higher quality spring expected to last up to 15-20 years. I opted for the standard springs. He replaced the springs, adjusted the tension and oiled all the joints/rollers (I had already replaced the rollers about a year before). The tech was very friendly and knowledgeable and the repair cost exactly what I was quoted, $275. I would hire them again.

My garage door spring broke. I made the mistake of calling Precision Garage door of Houston, who first quoted me $325 over the phone, but then quoted me $950 at my house. I declined service with them and called Garage Door Doctor. The tech suggested the identical repairs as Precision, but for $355. He completed the work in 45 minutes and even did a tune-up. It now operates better than when new. I am so happy I found an honest and knowledgable company to service my door. Thank you!

These guys are great. I've used them before to replace the opener in the other bay and repair a door that was damaged. They did the same great job this time. They try to give you multiple options to cover your budget and features needed. The unit he recommended is great. So much more quiet and with good lighting. The job was done in a couple of hours and I learned a bunch talking with the technician. These guys really know their stuff and want the customer to be happy.

Spoke with Curtis to schedule work initially and he was wonderful. Answered all my questions with a positive can do attitude. We were out of his free estimate zip code area, but he listened to what our issues were with the project and he was able to give me a ball park estimate over the phone. Able to schedule the same day with several window blocks of time to choose from. The company sent Andrew, who called an hour before arriving and showed up 10 minutes early. Again seeing thoughtfulness with the company, much appreciated! Andrew was very polite and professional. He took his time to review the project and discussed all options and or future issues that may arrise with the older system we had in place. Appreciated all the hard work and was done within an hour and a half. Price was less than quoted, as they remembered to give us a senior discount. Job was done extremely well and would highly reccommend. Will use again!

Fabulous service at a very competitive price. Very professional. Fast dispatch and very punctual. I had researched what I wanted done but let the tech inspect and suggest. Their recommendation matched what I expected and they did not try to upsell. Felt like they performed the same service they would do on their own home. They provided helpful and unsolicited advice on self-maintenance opportunities and hardware to select/avoid in the future when the garage door opener reached its end of life given my particular situation. It went very well. He showed up on time, started work and didn't stop until completion. He explained very thoroughly everything I needed to know about my new opener and left after I felt comfortable that it worked properly for me. He also cleaned up after he was finished. and I liked it that he left a business card attached to the opener on the wall by the door. excellent place for that card! The receptionist also explained to me why their garage door openers are more expensive than ones you can buy at the store. I have to say -- this is THE quietest garage door opener I've ever heard. I will most definitely use them again.
