Description of Work: I bought a DCS Grill from them- they installed it the same day. Follow-up in getting a proper cover was slow but I'm satisfied with the transaction.

Description of Work: Called Mr. Edie Burnbaum, the owner of Fireplace Man Inc., due to a problem with my fireplace leaking smoke back into the house. I scheduled an appointment for 9:30 am on Friday, February 3, 2012 and specifically emphasized that I wanted him to inspect my fireplace for a possible problem with the flashing in front of the fireplace where the smoke leaks. He said he would see me at the appointment time. At 8:30 am, Juan, showed up at the door and Mr. Burnbaum was nowhere to be seen. Juan said it would take about 20 minutes to brush out the soot from the chimney. It was my day off and I had a plumber working another job at 8:30 am which I couldn't monitor because Juan showed up early. I called Burnbaum and he said he doesn't have to come out because he knows that the problem is that the chimney is too short. I asked him how he knows that if he has never seen my chimney and he said they are all too short. Then he got irritated and said, " I don't have time for this." I hung up and sent Juan on his way. This is a case of, "get the customer signed up and send out cheap labor to do the job quickly and then take their money and run". I don't recommend this company to anyone and will never call them again.
