We purchased a home, through a home builder, and Crestmark was their lender. Because of the incentives offered, we chose to go with Crestmark. It was the biggest mistake ever!!! At first, our loan officer, Laura, was very responsive and quick to answer any calls and emails from us. But once she received our signed documents stating we will use Crestmark as our lender, she became extremely unresponsive, did not return phone calls, emails, did not answer questions, etc. Our realtor said she has never had to deal with a lender like this. We contacted the corporate office to try and get answers to our questions about different types of loans/services available to us and she still did not return our calls (except on 2 occasions) and never once apologized. The few times Laura did call us back, it was at 7:00 or 800 in the evening. Luckily our realtor put us in contact with a lender she uses often, so we could ask him some of the questions Laura would not answer. He was able to answer our questions within 10 minutes. Closings are almost always a bit on the hectic side but our experience was just horrendous. It was not worth any of the money we saved by using Crestmark and know in the future, it's not always the best option.
