Chavez Plumbing opened the ceiling to find a slow leak at a pipe connection. To be safe, they replaced the entire pipe, from the attic down to the connection. They worked quickly and were very careful to minimize mess.

Mr. Chavez arrived when he said he would and got the job done very quickly. We were VERY PLEASED with the work he performed and the final price.

It was a good plumbing experience overall.

the service was excellent! i had a garbage disposal that i discovered was leaking when water was spilling onto the floor from the cabinet beneath the sink. I called to schedule an estimate and the girl who answered the phone even assisted me with determining what horsepower disposal I needed (since I planned to buy it myself). she gave me a quote for providing the disposal myself and installed by Chavez Plumbing and what the cost would be should Chavez Plumbing provide the disposal and installation. in the Angie's List booklet, Chavez Plumbing was also offering a 10% discount. they were able to do the work the next morning at 10 am, which was perfect since I had family coming in from out of town the next day. the young guy who showed up on time to do the job was incredibly professional, even saying "yes, ma'am" or "no, ma'am" with every statement. he also gave me instruction on using the Allen wrench that came with the disposal. the job was completed in about 45 minutes could not have been more pleased with the service Chavez Plumbimg provided!

Guys did a great job. Expensive, but I believe that was dictated by the cost of the parts (I verified online costs).

The company was very responsive by getting here so quickly. That was a definite plus. Two things were however negative about the service. The kitchen faucet was dirty, greasy and had to be cleaned. Didn't look like they worked with clean hands - a minor issue. The other negative was the hot water faucet handle in the tub is loose. Looks like they forgot to tighten it. It takes a square drive or Torx drive to tighten. If you pull the handle out when you turn it it spins without any results. If it is pushed in when it turns it engages the valve and it works fine. Since I know how to make it work I'll make do.

Arrived on time and completed the job in 1/2 hour. Charged $256.50 for a half hour's work.

We called Julio Chavez around 11 am after reading the reviews posted on Angie's List. He said he can be at the house between 2 to 4. It is on a Saturday. At noon, he called to tell us his brother Gabriel and two assistants can be at the house in 30 minutes. They showed up promptly and fixed the disposal in less than 10 minutes, then left. They were definitely efficient, prompt. We forgot to present them with the 10% coupon. Although the price is a bit high considering purchasing a new one would probably cost $20 more, we will use them again because their responsiveness.

I would not use someone so unreasonable and unwilling to negotiate a fair fee. This job was probably too small for them, but once I've found a plumber that will do a small task, I'd use them for all others.

Price would have been $185, but we had a 10% off coupon from Angie's List, which helped. Plumbing prices always astound me, but the guys from Chavez Plumbing were excellent. We will definitely use them again!

Mr. Chavez came out within 45 minutes of my call on a Saturday -- that in itself warrants an A. He worked quickly and got the job done. I give him high marks for great service. Price was slightly high but worth it given how responsive he was. I will use Chavez Plumbing again.

They were informative and let me know what they couldn’t do ahead of time instead of tearing into the project and then telling me.

Excellent service. They were prompt and in and out in maybe 30 minutes or so. Would definitely recommend.

I called Chavez Plumbing on Friday afternoon, and was pleasantly surprised when an appointment. was made for the next morning. Mr.Chavez was a little late, but kept us updated on when he would be here. Once there, Mr. Chavez immediately took a tour around the house and I pointed out the various problems. He went to work right away cleaning the clogged kitchen sink, which took awhile. He went in and before I knew it, he had fixed the shower. Next, Mr.Chavez and I discussed some possible replacement faucets for the bathroom. I went and picked out what I wanted, brought them back, and by then Mr. Chavez had brought in two of his workers and before I knew it, the two new faucets were installed. It was great. Plus, they left the job dare I say cleaner than they found it. Great experience.

Mr. Chavez arrived around 11:30am with 2 workers. Mr. Chavez spent a couple of minutes assessing the situation and then told the workers where to dig. After a short period of time digging, they found the water main. Shortly after that, they found the leak. The leak was under the bushes near the front of my house. They had to chop through a lot of roots to get to it. Mr. Chavez then cut out the bad section of pipe and replaced it.

We called Mr. Chavez after ARS and Nick's plumbing diagnosed the problem and gave us a bid. ARS claimed that we need to replace all the plumbing in the bathroom as well as the sewer line with a bid of about $6000 for part of the job. Nick's plumbing diagnosed the problem as a clogged pipe which would require replacing under the house, with a bid of $2000. On the other hand, Mr. Chavez looked at the commode and then went under the house to inspect the pipes, which neither ARS or Nick's did or would have done. Mr. Chavez claimed that the pipes were fine and not the problem. He then removed the commode and cleaned out the pipe, which resolved the problem. He diagnosed and fixed the problem in less time that the others spent philosophizing over what the problem could be. He worked hard and smart, and was fun to be with.

Prompt response to reqeust for service. Plumbers were on-time, assessed the problem, provided an estimate of costs, and performed the repairs in a timely manner.

Julio arrived and assured me he would find the leak which was causing major damage to our new wood floors. After examination of the damage, he thoroughly checked and rechecked before cutting a hole in my closet wall. There, in the center of the square he cut out, was the leak. He was very professional, pleasant, and reassuring. He fixed the pipe which was leaking and was on his way. I will be using him again in the next week to remove my plumbing when my floors will be repaired. I would highly recommend Chavez Plumbing!

Arrived only a few minutes late. Julio was sent by the company. Very professional. Worked quickly. We chose to change out both of the valves instead of just one due to similar age of both heaters. Knocked some off the price because of this. Plus used the 10% off coupon. all in all we were impressed. Would use again.

We are close to the end of our 6 month renovation of this 1935 duplex. We have dealt with many contractors and their staffs. By far, Chavez Plumbing has been the brightest star in the bunch. They are reliable, responsive, respectful, and have very skilled individuals working for them. Unlike other contractors, Mr. Chavez comes to the worksite repeatedly to make sure the work his staff is performing is progressing properly . I am not sure how early in the morning he starts work or how late it is before he gets home --- but we always knew that he was there for us without question. His office staff is also very professional and responsive - you could always count on them getting back to you in a timely fashion. We started the project in May and as soon as his crew started, they worked the entire day every day. He often brought other crews who had finished another job to help the crew on site towards the end of the day. They were committed to doing the project properly and in a timely fashion. They also were flexible with us and the other contractors. Believe me, they put all other contractors to shame with their exemplary work ethic, skill and reliability. City Planning approved the rough in the first visit and soon we will have them come to do the final inspection. We expect that to go as well. This company was a joy to work with, their prices are very reasonable, and you can count on their skills and reliability. It is rare to find a company that is staffed with individuals that take such pride in what they do ---- but then again, you need to meet Mr. Chavez ----- he exudes pride in what he does and extends considerable respect to the customer.

Called & said had leak somewhere from toilet or from wall. Gave my addess. He said he'd be here between 3 -4 PM. He was. He located and repaired leak. Addressed issue of detereating flapper in other toilet. Courteous, respectful, knowledgeable, and fast.

Overall, the experience was wonderful. They were incredibly clean, quick, and thoughtful, always making sure there was some place in the home where we could get water. They completed the job within the time they said they would, and the results have been fabulous! We wish we would've done this work sooner; we now have tons of water pressure, hot water, etc. It's been great and we couldn't be happier.

We had a problem of faucet dripping in both bathrooms. It was minor when we bought our 1979 home in 2000, but had gotten progressively worse. It was obvious that the valves and washers needed to be replaced. We found Chavez in Angie's list. The office at Chavez set up a two hour window for us, and Julio arrived punctually. He examined our problem, suggested we replace the handles also because of their age. Price seemed a bit high, but it had been years since we needed a plumber, and we're conscious of the value of experienced labor today. We authorized the work, Julio went immediately for the parts, and finished the repair and replacement promptly. All was explained to us. the work was done neatly and professionally. We highly recommend Chavez Plumbing.

The gentlemen performed the work just as expected and maintained a clean work area during the entire process. The work was completed in one day and there have been no issues. Good work.

Fine - arrived when I was told he would, listened, answered questions, then fixed what we wanted fixed and went on his way - pleasant demeanor was icing on the cake!
